The Bosas are so inury prone. Awful.
Anything you want you should have
Sort of... They have the same Agent/Agency that handles them. It's basically if you aren't 100% you don't play. Last season Joey had the bone bruise thing on his foot. Big Ben had the same thing and missed 4 weeks, Dez Bryant as well and missed 3 weeks.. but Joey missed 11 games plus pre-season. When he was injured in August they thought he would be good to go for the opener, then it was mid September, then October and finally he didn't play until November 18th. Most people around the team point to his his agent and not letting him play until he was 100%.
I assume if you are a Niners fan that's the fear... will the agent weigh in on things and the dude plays like 10 games this year..
Hope not... too much talent from those two to be missing games..
Give all agents special shoes - the cement kind
I don't buy one goddam drop of gas in the state of Michigan!
Eh. That’s the kind of agent I would want. These players have a limited amount of time to make a ton of money. Taking care of their bodies should be priority #1.
"Man I wish everyone stop saying I beat a kid in the hospital 91-35.... It was 98-35, had 91 with 1:26 left in the 4th"
- Cardale Jones
True, but they are being paid to play not rehab. A friggin bone bruise, are you kidding me? Had a severe ankle sprain (when you turn your ankle so hard it damages both sides) in local basketball league. Wrapped it and played again in 7 days. Wasn’t 100% for quite awhile. Yet JT has arthroscopic on his meniscus and plays 6 days later. A bone bruise sounds like he’s hurt not injured. In the end it won’t matter they’ll both get huge 2nd contracts because their potential and what if’s.
MICHIGAN STILL SUCKS
Totally hear you. But you and I playing at 75% in a rec league is different than these guys going up against all world athletes.
I guess my whole thinking is this - Bosa (and everyone else) has been playing pro football for 3 years already (just not getting paid for it). Kevin Durant did the “play through it” thing and it’s costing him a season of play (I know, he’s still making a shit-ton of money).
In the end it won’t matter they’ll both get huge 2nd contracts because their potential and what if’s.
I'm not so sure about that. If they both keep getting injured and are basically only playing 50% of the time, teams aren't going to pay them as much as someone with less talent that plays all the time. At least I wouldn't. Doesn't help the team when your on the bench. But maybe I'm wrong and teams see the up side as just too good.
So much for sitting out the rest of last season with the Buckeyes, and healing TOTALLY. Yes, Yes, I know before you downvote me, I realize the ankle is a DIFFERENT injury. Wish I could have been making millions, when I went into work sick. I guess I should have stayed home, right? But, I made it through on my measly teacher's salary. My hope is that there will be agents in the future who will be available to fight for lowly music teachers on the way up. LOL
Go Bucks! Thanks for playing for free. Thanks for representing Ohio State. I DO appreciate you laying your body on the line for me as a fan. AND--I am thankful I am NOT the one being hit on every play. It has to be tough. But, hey, that is why I chose not to play football.
May Mr. Bosa be ready for the regular season. Heal up, young man!

They aunt getting paid to sit on the sidelines
Right. They aunt. Strong argument.
I’d incentivize that agent’s Players on snap count and games played. If the Bosa’s are 10 games a season type guys then pay them like that. I love them, but it’s hard to build your staff around unreliable leaders.
Yea this isn’t gonna help the brothers’ rep as durable. Heal up little bear.
This is precautionary and he'll be just fine. No need for Bosa and the organization to put his body on the line for a few weeks of free exhibition when the real season starts a month from now.
Agree on the pre-season.... but now the soundbites have turned to "hope to have him back to the opener"... and his agent saying " we aren't going to rush him back".... that's worrisome..
Hopefully he's good to go week 1..
I wonder if he'll quit the team like he did here and return to Florida for rehab?
Him quitting the team would still have a more positive impact on all of us than your contribution to this board.
To give anything less than your best is to sacrifice the gift.
Easy there Ms. Bosa
Nick Bosa was a captain. He suffered a serious injury, and I understand not playing for the remainder of the season. But he was a captain, and he left his team. He could have rehabbed in Columbus and supported his team, but he chose not to. I hope he does well I the NFL, but I will not forget that he was a captain and he left his team.
Quit the team and do what? He'd be forfeiting millions by doing that. Even his father would tell him that wouldn't be a smart business decision.
I think the comments about the agent's influence may be right or the Bosa's are injury prone. Appears now that Nick will not be playing in the opening game this year - same as Joey who didn't play until game 5 of his rookie season. Hope to seem them both healthy for awhile.
The preseason is a bad joke played on the public and wears on the players, this is not a big deal, he wouldn't have played 10 minutes total, but you have to wonder about his durability.
Unless you're someone like Dwayne Haskins who needs the game time to get a feel for game speed, etc. His two picks were... ouch.
The down vote is a mighty tool. Use it on idiots, not differing opinions.
So he hasn't played in a long time now. Wonder how deep the rust has set in? This is gonna make his rookie campaign less than. I was hyped but I bet he gets 8 sacks at least.
Why are these Bosa guys so fragile?
Color me funny.
