Since appearing in 13 games for the Jaguars as a rookie in 2015, Bennett has played in just three NFL regular-season games over the past three years.

That's depressing, I remember thinking he could have been a top 10 DT in the NFL

If you laugh, you think, and you cry, that's a full day. That's a heck of a day. You do that seven days a week, you're going to have something special.

No kidding. Shame his body has not cooperated. I don't know how these guys go through rehab after rehab, it has to get frustrating to stare down that barrel over and over.

No kidding. Just ask Kevin White who has basically lived on IR throughout his NFL career.

But didn’t Kevin’s White have the benefit of being drafted in the first round?

He did. Which makes it more of a ripoff for Chicago but it still sucks for him that he's had such rotten luck since he got to the League.

Bad news, but what a great buckeye Mr. Bennett was. Hoping for a fast recovery!

This SUCKS, I was really hoping he could earn a spot on the roster and make a name for himself...the mind and body aren't always on the same page, a shame.

Man, this stinks like yesterday's diapers! Get well soon, Mr. Bennett!

I'd rather be an hour early than a minute late.

Hoping he recovers quickly with no lingering issues and gets another shot down the line.

Dude can’t seem to catch a break in the NFL. I hope it works out for him in the pros, but whenever his football playing career does come to an end, he is a really smart guy and will land on his feet nicely. I remember for recruiting it came down to us and Northwestern because he was a big academic guy.

On the plus side I believe the injury in a team activity still counts him as a season accrued for NFL benefits which lets him hit the minimum 3 years.

The Atlanta Falcons officially placed Michael Bennett on injured reserve today, so he won't play for the Falcons this year. It's possible he could be released with an injury settlement and play for another team if he recovers quickly enough to play this year, but his NFL season is most likely over.
