Hafley hasn’t coached a game yet and I’m already worried about losing him.
I have a feeling this season is gonna be special
Life long fan of... The!
Same was said about Grinch last year
No it wasn't.
The only thing we heard about Grinch on the recruiting trail last year is that it took a 5-star recruit tweeting @Grinch to receive an offer.
Pure speculation, but Hafley would have most likely kept Battle and Woodbey in the fold.
Kitties aren't supposed to smell like cigarettes, they're supposed to smell like kitties.
You are right. It is pure speculation, nothing more.

Hindsight is, and in, 2020
Oooh very early Hurry Up today. I wonder if we’re in for a surprise tonight?
Not expecting anything anything today. Just wanted to get this specific Media Days content out early.
So was Bret Mcmurphy there, and did he ask any questions? Asking for a friend?
MICHIGAN STILL SUCKS
Interesting thing with him and ESPN, why weren’t they at the ACC media days last week grilling Dabo on juicing his players with PED’s or at SEC media days since FBI has ex LSU contact claiming LSU coaches paid recruits? McMurphy literally camped out at big 10 media days
Does this mean that there might be a Hurry Up Part 2 later today?
Let's Go Bucks
Two things Hafley and Hartline will go no place unless they want to coach in the NFL. The other is Ohio recruiting I'm not buying it all what Day is saying. This years Ohio talent and from what I hear the next two classes are suppose to be pretty stout so he is going to say Ohio will be a priority. I think it's always going to be we will take the best no matter what state they come from. He is not going to recruit anyone unless they can make a mark here. He is just cooling the jets for all those complaining about Ohio recruiting and lack of it in other words coach's talk. Like Urban saying we will use the te more this year..
I think there's more to it than taking Ohio kids just because they're from Ohio.
Day isn't from Ohio. He needs to establish relationships in the state with all of the HC coaches. There's also the strategy of keeping the best players in the state away from TTUN, MS, ND and PSU
If anything has changed, it's that Day is offering Ohio kids earlier. He's not assuming that they'll be available later. He doesn't have the clout yet to make that assumption, as Urban did.
"We get paid to score touchdowns, not kick field goals"
-- Urban Meyer
Agreed. Day needs to do the exact opposite of what Tommy Tuberville did upon his arrival at UC and make sure the program's relationship with all the in-state HS football factories remains stout (namely schools like Massillon and Cleveland-Glenville that consistently churn out talent).
Unless Ginn is still coaching at Glenville that pipe line is done. That team and talent will fall back to the days of every school wanting to open the season with. Some of you can't imagined what he had to do to make that program work. He saved a lot of kids in many ways and that's all I will say.
I can't remember the last kid Ohio State took out of Glenville, it seems to have been quite a while ago.
Lattimore maybe. I do remember an OL that didn’t work out as well ?
I won't totally agree with that. Any coach in his right mind is not going to turn down a Haskins type qb to recruit a Gunner Hoak type just so other teams don't get Gunner. [ just a example] You will be wasting ships to play defense instead of getting top talent for our team. If we get the very best Ohio kids who cares what those schools take in Ohio after that? The problem before Urban came ttun psu and others got some elite kids and still got a couple now and then. Not everyone in state wants to play here C. Jackson and Butt are two off the top of my head.
Nobody's suggesting signing inferior players. Why does everything have to be so black and white?
Evaluate as precisely and accurately as possible, gauge interest, go after the best and most realistic options. Some elite national players will always choose OSU, but you can also cut pipelines to other B1G schools and take less college-ready players nearby with high ceilings.
The B1G was as strong as ever with Urban at tOSU, and that's bc Ohio was more poached than ever.
The question has always been: what's the magic number of Ohio kids that we have to take to simultaneously weaken the conference by shutting down Ohio and creating a team that can compete with the top 2-3 teams in the country? I think around 8-10 out of 25 is a realistic number.
What aren’t you buying from Day?
He’s killing it, Smalls.
TG Proud Buckeye alumnus.
So wait. Was Day really talking about dongs at the media day or is that just a typo lol?
Just some personal effects left over in Zach’s desk...move on.
Justice delayed is justice denied....#FTP
Just saying. We don't want Day to risk offending the Brett McMurphy's of the world with talk of "dongs" lol. s/
Thanks for the article and information Taylor. Even in a dead period you continue to bring the juice. Go Bucks!
Coast to coast, border to border. Wherever they are and whatever it takes. I'm hoping Day gets at least a two year commitment from his coaches like Urban did. GO BUCKS!
“Being average means you are as close to the bottom as you are to the top.” John Wooden
The staff has done an incredible job getting great talent but what really impresses me is the upside of most of the lower star players. Just shows they did their homework.
Agree with a passing attack I think they found a couple oline guys one last year and one this year that have promise down the road. Both very athletic just a little raw and short on pt. James I think is better than his ranking plus comes from a good program and well coached by his film..
"Conversely, Urban Meyer and his players are an unstoppable army of football automatons that feel no emotion and win in any and every setting."
He’s recruiting at a much higher level now than he ever did before,
I would contribute that not only because he is a good recruiter but, he is recruiting for Ohio State, which carries a lot of clout.
