I’m to blame for this, too? So much weight.
Lol well in the 2020 recruiting part 56 thread, you said we should start elias ricks part 1. I know it was a joke, but its the off season. And maybe we should just post funny comments from LSU fan boards on Elias Ricks
Successful people do what they have to, whether they feel like it or not
Sort of serious. We’re going to have Ricks overload until signing day, so it probably needs its own space. And hey, at least you didn’t post about Harbaugh on a Friday.

That sounds converted ....
Are you a pretty girl? Asking for a friend
Maybe cut down on the carbs?
I definitely think he ends up at OSU. Once he gets more comfortable with Hafley/Day it's game, set, match.
The better question is the over/under for Harbaugh Talking Smack vs. Ricks vs. Ryan Timmons threads?
"I find your lack of kalua disturbing" - Darth Lebowski
Come on, there’s no obsession here with Harbaugh ...
Who is this Harbaugh you speak of?
Fields of Dreams
Who is Harbaugh, she sounds hideous
Married to a whore.
this comment is uncalled for.
Yeah, sorry. That didn’t come out the way I had it in my mind.
Was thinking solely about the whore known as Ann Arbor, not his actual wife.
That comment is called for!
Appreciate you coming back to clarify your comment, that was a classy thing to do.
eSECpn says hold my beer.
Not to piss anyone off but I can see Ricks staying put. LSU might have the best db coach's in college football. Remember they were here for the db coach's job. Ricks could be a player that just wants the best coaching and a sure starting job so he can get that pay day in a couple years. College football is a stepping stone for the NFL and some I feel don't care a lot about the other stuff. Players that skip Bowl games to me fit that mold when they are saying screw my team and coach's more or less along with wins.
Ricks has said, repeatedly, that if Urban was still in Columbus, he’d be there too. So don’t put too much weight into LSU’s DB coach.
How important is winning for Ricks? If Day can go 11-1 and get into the B10 championship, and possibly playoff, things will get interesting. Especially if LSU drops 3-4 games and they start to lose other big recruits, like Rakim Jarrett. Lejond will be in his ear the whole season, but at the same time it’s his decision. I think another big factor day can sell is playing time here. We could potentially lose our top 3 CBs after the season. I’m not sure what LSUs depth chart is looking like, but I know ours is probably going to be more open if we have the departures I think we will have.
Not to mention the guy couldn’t land Surtain. The most important DB for LSU in his class.
Agree. Too many people are assuming him going to IMG means he backs off LSU. While he might, too much assuming going on.
By signing day in December, Hafley will be considered the best DB coach in the country...
I don't think anybody should be pissed off by that Gobucks1966. I mean, at this point, he's committed to LSU. There's a chance that he's not even remotely considering decommitting. And even if he did decommit, there are other schools like Alabama which are surely beating down his door to go there, too. I'm extremely hopeful and pretty optimistic that we have a chance with him, but nobody should be super disappointed if he sticks with his commitment.
Well while nobody should be pissed by Gobucks1966 take because it's reasonable this board has clearly shown any opinion that isn't shooting rainbows out there butt about recruiting or otherwise pisses people off.
I've already proven that a few times just by mentioning i was worried about all the 3 star commitments. Literally got blasted and some people tried to claim i have no clue or i'm just a TTUN troll. So in other words be careful lol
We're never going to give him up
We're never going to let him down
I just hope we're not getting Ricks rolled
Hall of fame level comment here. Outstanding work. Maybe the very young or very old members won't get it, but the vast majority should appreciate the hell out of it.
I'm all for recruiting threads, hell, I post them about high profile crystal ball picks, but considering this guy won't be considering a change in his decision until at least November, this thread may be just a rehash of all the things that have been talked about in the Hurry Up. There won't be many updates at all until after his OV to the OSU/PSU game.

At least it’s one more thread to read in the off-season.
So does Ricks go by Elias or Eli because I feel like I’ve seen both.
Point of order: If we only get to part 68 in the string of 2020 recruiting threads, MacDaddy’s going to have some splainin’ to do.

Point of order: If we only get to part 68 in the string of 2020 recruiting threads,
I always blame Knarcisi. Unless it’s Earle
So Knarcisi is to blame for this. He/Her put out the idea, so blame him/her
Could he/her be both?
Enjoying daily the back to back ttun beatdowns.
I’m actually a woman. Been fooling you boys all these years.
Does your wife know?
I think the millennials call them “They/Them”
There’s really not much Ohio State can do this year except for the obvious. Win the B1G, roll the scarlet carpet out for him in November, greatly improve DB play. I think it all comes down to how LSU performs this year, and whether Coach O keeps his job or not. Hoping they go 6-6. Sorry Joe.
It's a beautiful day in Columbus, Ohio... and TTUN still sucks.
In my opinion, Coach O will always be a 3-4 loss head coach. They fired Les Miles and hired Les Miles.
2x account suspension survivor
They fired Les Miles and hired Less Miles.
Ohhhhhhhh!! The most overrated player that ever played (actually he didn’t) to ever play here. The 3rd string QB that bitched about not getting paid as a college player. That Joe. I remember now
What if Ricks is Finkle...And Finkle is Einhorn..
Based on a thread of comments above I think Knarcisi is Einhorn.
What would help a little is if LSU starts to receive some NCAA heat over the booster that stole from the children's cancer hospital and paid the players. LSU tanking and OSU winning as usual would be the biggest boost though.
Again wins and loses to a few is not important only being coached up for the show and playing time. I do think we have a good shot though and time will tell.
Im still pissed about how a 2-loss LSU was in the top 5 and a 2-loss Auburn was in the top 3 yet nobody thinks there is a bias. Random outburst..
Well, I'll be ready if he does....
Put Orgerons face on the dude who bites it and this will be a gem if Ricks flips
It IS Orgeron that bites it! lol
If only that guy had coach O's face.
Because I couldn't go for 3.
This guy pretending he doesn't know that's Coach O's beach bod <rolls eyes>
I think if LSU has a loss before the Bama game, it'll be quite a surprise. I just don't buy that Texas is that good. I don't think Auburn or Florida are going to beat them either. Even the Bama game, comes on the heels of LSU's bye. Now it's at Bama, but they do get a good advantage of a week off before that game, so it may be primed for an upset. The only way they get to 3 losses, in my opinion, is if Texas beats them, Bama, and a surprise in the middle somewhere. I just don't see 3 L's on their schedule.
Bama has an open week before LSU also.
Conveniently, Bama also has an open week before they go to Texas A&M. And they play Western Carolina the week before they play Auburn. Basically, they have two weeks to prepare for all their toughest games.
Exactly. Interesting how that always works out for them...they get away with it too, so really can’t blame them for doing it.
As much as we dislike Tom Herman now, collectively I mean, he's a wizard as an underdog. And based on this recruiting battle, we should kinda be rooting for him to beat LSU.
It's LSU and Ed Orgeron. Same coach that lost to TROY at home only 21 months ago. While the losses may not be expected, they'll come.
Count me in the camp of thrilled if he comes but not expecting it.
Jermaine Burton Jr., LSU commit and top 50 player nationally announced he will now be attending IMG.
Chess piece being moved by LSU to secure Ricks?
Apparently he doesn't trust Elias all by himself with Lejond at IMG. LOL.
It would be hilarious if Lejond flipped both of them.
Edit: oops, should have read the rest of the responses.
I'm certainly not going to hold my breath, but if he ends up in Columbus I'll be a ok about it.
Urban Meyer left an incredible legacy. 12/4/18 Ryan Day begins his.
Good now we can get Ricks and Burton.
that would be hilarious if that happened.
No way we can compete with these new locker rooms they put in... he gone
Paging Mr Ricks.....
