Got my popcorn ready. Just be yourself Jim. Be yourself. LOL

Just in: Crazy Jim Still Crazy. Stay tuned as this story continues to develop...
I mean, not technically "develop", but stay tuned to see what crazy thing he says/does next!
"We're not great clickbait, so picking us first isn't sexy."
Fitz sounds like someone who would post on 11W.
"You're the patron saint of the totally effed" - Hot Tub Time Machine
Much respect from me for Fitzgerald. He does more with less than just about any other coach. And he seems like a very down-to-earth guy.
There was some confidence in how he talked about his teams his year. Don’t be surprised to see them win the West again and make some waves.
Well, I'm pretty likely to steal, "Stats are for losers."
You've got to kick at the darkness till it bleeds daylight.
Definitely waiting to see Hairball asked about the controversy comment and see how he tries to downplay it.
'97 - Molecular Genetics
Ash says Rutgers has to figure out how not to lose games.
"Medicine is not a science" - Leo Spaceman
Can't wait to listen to all of Hairball's four-word sentences, then 4 second pause, followed by another three-word sentence (Something like, "Our rivals played well" .............................. "We tried hard" ............................... "We'll work to get better" ..............................."Love our players" ................. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Without question, he is a reporter's worst nightmare for an interview and asking him questions usually results in one word responses ..... and can someone please explain to him that wearing a jacket and a baseball cap looks ridiculous. If he wants to see how successful coaches exude that "first class" appearance, to go along with their premium programs, he just needs to see how Meyer and Saban look when attending these media day events. Of course, no one could ever confuse Hairball, or his Michigan men as having any class .....
Just listened to him answer questions. He just so flipping awkward. The first reporter asked his thoughts about the B1G being left out of the CFP the last two years and he just bumbled for a few seconds, acted like he didn't understand the question and said you guys should research it. When asked what steps they are taking to finally beat OSU, he basically did not answer the question. He gave some canned responses about his team and left it at that. Just an awful interview.
What’s the difference between Harbro and a bucket of shit?...
He is just flat out an asshat. Don Brown the best coach he has ever been with? Seriously? What about that guy that replaced him at Stanford who was an assistant of his through multiple programs? I think Shaw might be better. Oh wait, cannot mention him because he has actually done better than Harbaugh did. He thinks his young assistants match up with other staffs? Really? Young but played alot of games? When you cannot be at a school for more than 5 years you are no longer young when you have been there for 2 years. For college that is being middle aged.
The guy is just a joke. How do you respect someone like that? You just don't.
I don't buy one goddam drop of gas in the state of Michigan!
Oh my. Harbaugh is just a rambling fool. Does he not get any kind of coaching or guidance for these formal events? Good choice to chomp on gum while doing your presser Jim. And the baseball hat (with the 'M' always off-center) with a suit is just classic. It's like a teenager who had to negotiate with his mom on what to wear. I'll wear a suit ma, but I get to wear my ball cap with it.
It's like a teenager who had to negotiate with his mom on what to wear.
But mom, I don't wanna go to the meeting! I won't have any friends there! That new kid Ryan dunked on me last fall and I still feel embarrassed! It's all going to be adults talking and it'll be BORING. Can't I just stay home and watch film instead? Do I have to? I don't wanna! Pleeeeeaaaaaasssseeee?
That new kid Ryan dunked on me last fall...

"Ohio fullbacks should stay in Ohio and play at Ohio State." - Earle Bruce
THE HAT & SUIT.... Why? It's not even strategic marketing towards the young men you're recruiting. I was going to comment on this very thing... But you've said it so well. I know a parent of one of his former players... Who always said... "They need to drug test the coaches as well. Because I'm pretty sure he's on something." (and not even a disgruntled parent... the son was a starter and played significantly). If we could only hear it straight from Al and Mattison about some of their experiences working with him... Priceless.
It is obvious that Michigan nor Harbaugh has any respect for Ryan Day or Ohio State.
The arrogance is just thick
Stay golden, Ponyboy.
I'm glad they're arrogant, makes it sweeter (and easier) to beat em
"Why be around average?" - UFM
ASJ, I'm beginning to understand their overt arrogance as a defensive coping mechanism. It is the only way they can maintain their "most wins mantra, follow the rules, B1G conspiracies" world view. They are fighting against reality and reject all external contrary data (for proof I suggest we revisit Winovich's "Mirage comment" or Coach H's diatribe on the SPOT which he clearly saw as short from 15 yards behind the play and 2 hash marks across the field while wearing glasses with a possible moving player/official obstructed view). I think Urban understood TTUN's fragile mindset and sought to shatter their bubble's boundaries by hyping the respect for the rivalry while decrying game predictions, slogan tee shirts and revenge tours.
Yeah, Harbaugh's vision tends to be like the guy in Cousin Vinny who could clearly identify the two "utes" through the muddy screen, trees, bushes, and leaves when seeing them for a few seconds.
Guys, that game had without a doubt one of the most egregious missed calls in the history of the rivalry. One of those calls that made you think the refs had an interest in the outcome of the game. It was that bad.
Two plays later was JT's Keeper.
Second and five JT is sacked by his facemask, no flag. That necessitated Samuel's Heroics, which gave way to JT getting the first. If that call is made OSU has first and goal to go.
For a group of fans that claims that game was rigged and for a coach to be so bitterly disappointed, I wonder if they remember that play. If the refs were in on it, they sure picked a bad time to forget.
Proudly dispensing unbridled arrogance since 1983.
My conclusion on Harbaugh. I think he's just fucking stupid.
Sounds about right.
Urban Meyer >Jim Harbaugh for ever and ever, Amen. 0
Apologies to stupid people ...
Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect. ~ Mark Twain
I genuinely dislike Jimmer as a person now, especially after these last couple of days.
He says he has a group of assistant coaches in their 30s that are among the best in that age group in the country. He says he would put his son Jay Harbaugh in that class, but humility prevents him from doing so.
I'm pretty sure this isn't humility.
<Looks at notes>
That checks out, 88.
"That's where I would pick us."
Oh of course.
Attack that comment at will, 11W.
Got M...igan gossip? Bang it here.
You wonder what kind of coach would allow stupid shit like revenge tours to be talked about openly, having a player go out and kick/dig the turf up over the Spartan logo, talk of little brother(after your 5 yr career is over, 2-3 btw), guaranteeing a win before the big game.... The idiot who does the same shit. He's off to a stellar start this offseason.
(slathers the keyboard with sarcasm)
I'd say he's definitely living up to the hype.
The funniest part is that his answer didn't align to what he was asked. You all really need to listen to his interview. It is just comedy gold. Gold. He's such a buffoon. Those sound bites listed above are about 2% of the rambling mess that he gave as answers.
It's the same schtick, even if the questions (and his responses) change.
I'd rather watch some clips to get more insight from Chryst, Ash, Fitz, etc.
There's no shock value, for me anyway, with guys like Harbaugh and Franklin. They fall short on the field, but desperately feel like they have to make up for it at the mic.
He has a lot of experience with picking. You might even say he nose a lot about it.
Also, disappointed in the other commentors not "picking" up on this one.
Your signature will be publicly displayed at the end of your comments.
Right on the nose Jim. Good pick.
Our people are everywhere, Esto Dignus.
Hove - I'm surprised he knows how to pick anything.... except his nose... while on national television.
A lot of motivation this season for OSU
Exactly... I'm grateful for his comment. I believe Day is bought in on the rivalry... But like freshmen... It's never real until that first hit. Now it's personal and he has to be motivated by it.
Day has to beat Harbaugh just so the face of the B1G is Day not whatever the hell wacked out nonsense Harbaugh was spouting. That whole presser was just awkward AF.
He says he doesn't have any more thoughts on Greg Mattison or Al Washington leaving for Ohio State.
The salt is so great within this one.
Loses games to the Buckeyes and his coaches to the Buckeyes, Harbaugh can't stand it and I love it.
"If Chase Young is truly bigger than I think he is and taller than I think he is, he would probably have to be the literal Predator because I've seen him with my own two eyes and I personally think he's pretty damn Sasquatchian." - Kevin Harrish
"Carollo says all elements of targeting have to be confirmed."
Agree, but I'd also say all elements have to be clearly defined (and understood).
And applied evenly
Ol' boy is a sucker for punishment, no?
I would've sent a check but I already sealed up the envelope...
Let’s go to the video. What were Crazy Jimmy’s eyes like? Beady and glazed as usual?
You be the judge.
I watched 2 and half minutes. LMAO. All I needed to see.
You owe it to yourself to watch the whole thing. It does not disappoint.
I said it before and I’ll say it again. Would you want to play for Day or Harbaugh? It’s a no brainer!!
The dude is mental. He's not right. I sort of feel bad for him, because I genuinely believe he's not right. How MI hired this guy is beyond me. He's clearly not all there. The video is worth watching.
Thanks for posting.
Before/after the 13 min mark, the kook predicted his team will win the Big Ten this year! There has to be something in the water up there.
“I intend to make Georgia howl.” General William Tecumseh Sherman
I think that has been pretty well established over that past couple years. If you go up north, pack your own water.
My aim, then, is to whip the Weasels, to humble their pride, to follow them to their inmost recesses, and make them fear and dread us. Fear is the beginning of wisdom. - William Tecumseh Sherman (with apologies)
I have a high tolerance so I watched the whole thing. That was painful on so many levels. Can you imagine him being your coach and representing your university? Can you imagine being a manager had having to interview him for a job? He looks and sounds like his head might explode at any time. He must have compromising pictures of the _ichigan AD. There can't be any other way for him to keep his job.
I'm still confused about the Gattis hire. Harbaugh says he hired him because "he has a great system".. What exactly does that mean? Mike Locksley called the plays at Bama and Gattis said a few months back it will be his first time calling plays and that he made "suggestions" on play calling at Bama in 2018... so what "system" did he sell Harbaugh on if he's never called a full game before???
Maybe the dude will turn out to be a home-run hire but Harbaugh keeps dropping soundbites like Gattis ran the show at Bama and that's just not the case... at all... He was basically Ed Warriner in 2014 when Tom Herman was running the show. Co-OC basically in name only..
It all seems to be part of the grand marketing scheme, dare I say, another mirage? I've been thinking along the same lines. Secondly, even if he had called the plays or assisted in the construction of an Alabama Offensive System, I do not believe I'm going out on a limb by suggesting there is a terrific drop off in talent between the Crimson Tide's offensive talent and TTUN. Wonder how Gattis schemes for wet, cold, and/or windy weather? How effective will he be when he eventually visits Camp Randall, Happy Valley, or the Shoe during his tenure.
He welcomes Ryan Day to the conference and says he knows he'll do a great job. "I've got a ton of respect for Ryan."
Okay, so we'll kick the living sh*t out of everyone we play except Northwestern.
Rutgers will celebrate 150 years of football by being outscored 150-0 in its first three games.
"The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." - Edmund Burke
AS far as SHITHEAD from up north ...really makes you think what the fans and the school is thinking to keep such a FUCKING IDIOT to coach their football team....but hey we sure benefit from it....
You cannot commit a blindside block in open field, which often happens on kickoffs, change of possessions, punt returns. That'll be a 15-yard penalty.
Can't say I'm happy with this rule.
Good for most players, would've been devastating for Corey Smith
Terry McLaurin too.
Can they just wrap a player up in a bear hug instead? How are you supposed to block a player in this situation then? Just nudge them or run in front of them a little bit?
To give anything less than your best is to sacrifice the gift.
That was close to being a staple for our receivers under Meyer. They were clean blocks but betting they start getting flagged for them in the name of protecting "defenseless" tacklers. Touch football here we come.
I wish they’d give Harbaugh that lifetime contract already..
Same here. I've been advocating for that since those idiots first mentioned it a few years back. Sounds like a great idea
Hairball is just weird. There is no getting around that fact. It's particularly apparent that he can't think on his feet and he's extremely awkward socially.
So who else clicked and scrolled right down to Harbaugh.
A man got to have a code...
Me! Me! Me!
"BTN president Francois McGillicuddy". His last name reminds me of the south park where Ms. McGillicuddy is the head bi*ch of the local nursing home.
Sounds like some French wine mixed with Irish whiskey. Not a good combination.
Nothing cleanses the soul like a no call pass interference.
Ms Mcgillicuddy was one of Lucille Ball characters.
I thought it was funny when a reporter asked him about what Gattis is bringing to recruiting....and he goes into a looonnng discussion of his staff, down to the wait staff, who serves the meals after practice. Gertrude the ice tea girl can really bring it. He never even got close to answering the question asked by the reporter, but yet thanked her for asking the question.
"He says Penn State has been as competitive as any team in the conference against Ohio State. "
Except Purdue (sadly)
"because they can rely on replay for targeting calls"
Denzel Ward would disagree with you...
I didn't watch all of the coaches speak but I did catch Jeff Brohm with Purdue.
It was sickening to see their highlights of the Buckeye game over and over. I ended up just looking away, angered at the way our defense looked clueless and out of position. Arm tackles, missed tackles.....horrible.
Fitzgerald with NW is a coach that anyone would like to play for given the chance.
Personally, I hope Rutgers wins a lot of games, except against OSU.
I'm not trying to win a popularity contest. I'm trying to win football games-- Woody Hayes
Keep talking Jimmy. The more shit flinging you do with the media about OSU the more fuel it gives us to kick your ass once again in November. I actually like that he's doubling down on his comments about Meyer. It gives us more incentive to destroy him and everything he's built up there come Game time.
Just started watching Harbaugh's infomercial ... his introduction - where was he looking the entire time?? Love Dan Hope's question!! JH's answer had nothing to do with Dan's question on what U* needs to do different to beat tOSU ... are you kidding me? What a douche. I had to stop there - it was too painful to continue watching.
You don't know what you have until it's gone .... for example, toilet paper.
In all fairness, how do you answer that question well? Dan is basically saying "I'm looking to stir up some controversy. OSU is better than you. Care to comment on that Jim?"
I doubt many OSU fans would take too kindly to a UM reporter asking Day what his program needs to do differently to avoid the controversy that followed his team last season.
Strength equipment is expensive & guarantees you nothing. A strong will is free & will give you everything you need.
Because no reporter outside Brett McMurphy would ask Ryan Day such a stupid fucking question.
Fuck Hairball. That is all.
Fuck eSECpn and fuck Mythigan.
What's the over/under on how many times OSU is going to get called for this? I predict many frustrating instances of enforcing this rule.
Why just OSU? It will happen all over the country. Just like targeting.
Who said it wouldn't?
"We tell our officials, 'When in doubt, throw the flag,'" because they can rely on replay for targeting calls.
This is just a fucking terrible approach, how many times have we seen replay also blow the call. Officials shouldn't be throwing a flag unless they are 100% certain a penalty occurred. Stupid mindsets like this are how we saw Roby, Ward and Smith unjustly ejected from games, also why we saw scUM get 15 free yards last year on the phantom Facemask call on Patterson. If the ref isn't sure he saw the foul, keep the fucking flag in your pocket.
Or the targeting call on ttun when they flagged Meyer for complaining about the obvious late hit on Haskins.
MICHIGAN STILL SUCKS
Putting that picture is a violation of the Friday rules...
Happy for your patronage, but I guess it is Media Days, and the guy s a colossal weirdo, so we’ll allow it. At least it keep us from getting a stupid Harbaugh forum post.
F TTUN Next Friday ;)
I cannot flip that light switch off..
Well, I can use your help now. We just can’t help ourselves. There is a new Harbaugh thread up. DV it into oblivion.
There’s your problem right there. How about making sure all the referee’s are trained well enough to make the right calls or non-calls on the field. Pretty weak coming from the head ref. Sorry but replays don’t always get it right either. Make the call if you can but don’t just throw a flag to throw one. I know he’s not saying that, he could of worded that differently.
So why exactly are any of you surprised by Harbaugh and his pressers? What has changed over the 4-5 years he has been there? Did you think something was going to change? You beat yourselves up over him?
Such a weird dude. How does he ever get decent recruits to commit to his program? I would like to know how recruits realize they have made a horrible mistake after their first year.
Bears...Buckeyes... Battlestar Galactica.
What a chicken S#!+ for not calling out Clemson & Bama for play one less conference game and FCS teams. Hell, even his replacement David Shaw has been clear about his position.
"Let's have everyone play the same number of conference games, nonconference games, and have continuity about scheduling. [The Pac-12] was in its seventh or eighth conference game in a row...while other conferences were playing their FCS opponents." - David Shaw
Just like an anaconda!
