I wondered what happened to Jay Crawford. I loved the way he rubbed OSU in Dana Jacobson's UM face. I can't believe he's 54.

I wasn’t expecting my alma mater to be so high. The teams Brandon Schnittker were a part of in 1999 and 2000 were some of the best I’ve seen in high school football. Just absolutely littered with track and football stars.

Another athletic note about Perkins: Scott Fry still holds the cross country 5k meters state record at 14:50 in 1985 and no one has really ever come close to breaking it.

This is definitely where I parked my car.

Cooper,
Thanks for the info on Scott Fry. 14:50 is ridiculous.

Brandon Schnittker in action:

As an aside, Brandon had two cousins who were Buckeyes as well...Dick Schnittker played football in 1949 and was an all-American forward in 1950 who then went on to play 9 seasons in the NBA for the Capitols and Lakers. Tackle/kicker Max Schnittker played football 1944-1946.

I had never heard of this school, but thanks to this series I learned something new today. Love the part about Tyson Gentry, it’s awesome to see people finish what they start no matter the obstacles.

Several of these schools I hadn’t heard of.

I figure we should be seeing Shadyside anytime now. :))

Sheeeeeiiiit. Would be a short list.

Recently biggest ones were Austin Dorris to Indiana and about 15 years ago Brad Lewis to WVU. Back in the day, Don Fleming to Florida.

Dude for a school that size to send guys to schools like Indiana, WVU, and Florida is awesome. Gotta represent the valley.

Great series. Excited to see where a number of schools fall, Moeller, St. X, Elder, Centerville, HH Wayne, Colerain, Middletown, St. Ignatius, St. Ed, Glenville.

How are schools like that split going to be scored? Is Lakota or Pickerington going to be one high school for this?

Good question. Original Pickerington players will count as Pickerington Central.

Pickerington North is the new and separate school.
