What Are Your Thoughts on College Football Media Days?

During a time of year when I'm DYING for football, I'll take the media days. If nothing else it serves as a mild, temporary distraction from the painful lack of Buckeyes football games.

Is it August 31st yet?

It's a welcome break to have any media focused on something other than politics.

A chance to talk college football with players and coaches? A sign we are almost ready for camp? A step closer to real games?

 I voted ‘very good’.

(But last year it sucked)

I want to say I look forward to it as part of the hype for the upcoming season....but I'm still salty over last year and the McMurphy crap.

I like them, great updates on programs/primer for camps/preview for the upcoming season.

I had to run away high, so I wouldn't come home low...

After last July/August I went from, "Yeah they're ok" to "I'd be fine if they did away with them."

They're for the media. I have yet to learn someting (except last year) that I didn't already know through 11W.

I don't give a damn for the whole state of Xichigan.

I also DVR when they go on the road and spend a day at different schools. It is a good chance to get caught up on whom the Buckeyes really need to be ready for.

I don't love them. It's mainly just coach speak. I mean unless Fields really hasn't won the job yet (YIKES). You aren't really gonna learn anything. But it is a sign that football is on the horizon, and that is good enough to keep me interested.

Elliott dots the eye, on this national championship win.

Like, but don't love.

It's football related content at a time when there's otherwise nothing. So fine, cool. But it's basically disposable content - you get a grumpy Nick Saban quote or some coach talking up his team or something of the sort that consumes a couple days of media cycles and is completely forgotten by August 31st, if not July 31st.

The only exception, of course, is when there's a major scandal...and really, let's not wish that on anyone.

To many of them and in this day and age they just repeat the same over and over again
