Great interview, thanks for sharing.
Did he ask him where he's looking at houses in LA?
If you look in the comments of the article, you can see I did kinda ask Birm that.
Interested to see how Buckeye fans react if/when Urban takes another job and takes Mick and Mark with him. Call me crazy but I think losing Mick and Mark would be a bigger loss than losing Urban.
Don't listen to Freddy P. Soft
While both would be huge losses, I think Mick would be the bigger one. I think OSU would be able to lure Pantoni disciple Eron Hodges away from Purdue which would soften that blow a little bit, he was Pantoni's right hand man from 2016-2018 at OSU. I have no idea who we'd go after to replace Mick's impact though
Sorry Urban, Woody is still my favorite
It’s hard to say who would be a bigger loss. To me they are the both in the business at what they do. I remember when Urban was at Florida I envied Florida’s recruiting style and the condition of their players. The list of recruits that Mark helped land while at Florida and OSU is mind blowing and so is the way Mick molds high school level bodies into NFL ready bodies in such a short time. Either one would be a big loss
In all fairness if Urban takes a job a few years down the line what makes you think they will both immediately drop everything and go? If Ohio State is playing at an elite level and they have a good relationship with Day I wouldn’t be surprised to see them hang around.
"Assuming" he coaches again only leads to.....I think everyone knows the rest.
Life and people in jobs change all the time. It's no different in the sports world. One good person may leave for another opportunity and one good person takes their place. I am confident the OSU Athletic department will do their due diligence replacing those that leave. They have been doing a nice job for a long time(look at what we have done the last 15+ years), and no one will be 100% dead on with every replacement, but there are many qualified candidates out there. It comes down to choosing the right one and timing and availability is important in that decision making process.
Enjoying daily the 62-39 ttun beatdown.
I was getting frustrated because Birm will ask an interesting question, then keep talking, then ramble into a still related, but different question, causing us to never get to hear the answer to the original interesting question.
Really hope Pantoni and Mick stick around
