Got my Boom locked and loaded.
Ransom and Ricks come on down!
Anything you want you should have
Ricks, Ransom and Robinson.... fingers crossed!!!
The mark of excellence, the test of greatness, is consistency
what a haul that would be.
Wouldn’t it be cool if the 3 R’s at OSU ain’t readin’, ritin’, and ‘rithmetric no mo?

Boom on deck.
Good luck and enjoy the Aloha State, JS.
Elias Ricks moving (trending?) in good direction.
I had to run away high, so I wouldn't come home low...
So tomorrow will be a totally unproductive day for me while await the Boom. I’m down with that!

So tomorrow will be a totally unproductive day for me while await the Boom.
LOL! For you and most of Buckeye nation!
I'd rather be an hour early than a minute late.
Was relieved to read Birm make the call for the Buckeyes re: Ransom. For whatever reason, the last few articles I've read have just given me a weird feeling about ND creeping up, but I'll rest on the laurels of AE, Birm, and 100% CBs.
Elias Ricks would be the epic finale to this class.. i have a feeling if were going to get Ricks we will not know until after the season concludes. Good to know Lejond is on the case.
Ricks, Robinson, and Ransom, come on down!
“Being average means you are as close to the bottom as you are to the top.” John Wooden
Actually Latham Ransom (S), Bijan Robinson (RB), EJ Smith (APB), Kourt Williams (OLB) - then Elias Ricks (CB). 4,5,4,4, and 5 stars. What an explosive completion of a class that would be. Would that make us close to the top ? Maybe raise to 3rd.
My preference for EJ Smith is he is listed at 5' 11" Knighton is listed as 5' 9". Sometimes actual height is exaggerated (when confirmed at the combine) and if 5' 8" that seems small for major football. Having an NFL (HOF) player at our games would be interesting. Of course, in addition to C. Carter.
We’d be in 2nd with that haul... I would say we’d probably finish third because Bama and Georgia still have some space left! I’d be totally satisfied if this were to happen! That’d be a sick class
Yes but after the NCAA comes to its senses and notices Clemson is paying kids to come there and pop PED's like tic-tacs it's all going to come crumbling down. Prolly
Don’t get your hopes up...
NCAA is in a different era. They aren’t coming down hard on ANY program unless it’s SMU esque
Georgia is already six with an absurdly low 14, and I think they key Ringo and Milton at RB.
Nobody is catching Clemson with five 5 stars. I wonder if Alabama’s days are numbered and now it’s the Clemson show. I honestly cannot believe Saban has that much juice considering all the assistants he’s lost over the last 7 years.
If I must choose between peace and righteousness, I choose righteousness! -Theodore Roosevelt.
I said this even before Saban got waxed in the Natty by Clemson - that Saban and Bama could be on the gradual decline. My reasoning was Georgia and Kirby Smart all of a sudden killing it in recruiting. I got boo'd horribly on here :-)
I figured it's only going to get harder for Saban to get the top top recruits he needs to continue his dominance if you add Georgia and Oklahoma to the mix of teams getting multiple five star guys.
He needs to be stopped in the playoffs more frequently. Last dozen years he's done fabulous. We and others need to make them look bad on the biggest stage.
No matter his size another year I doubt he will get shorter. kidding but true
Sounds like a law firm.
TG Proud Buckeye alumnus.
If we get our boom tomorrow we can leap into second in recruiting behind Clemson. Can't wait to watch Army throttle Mythigan soon. Delicious.
Fuck eSECpn and fuck Mythigan.
Doubt that'll happen like it did with Oklahoma. That was a perfect mixture of styles and strengths vs weakness. Army plays ball control and time management with a run game and Oklahoma had virtually no defense all year. They basically just let army control the clock as they couldn't stop the run. I think we forget Michigan plays quality defense and will more than likely be able to stifle there run game in ways Oklahoma only could have dreamed of. Couple that with the fact that Oklahoma literally scored 3 times within less than 2 minutes and 40 seconds. Michigan isn't going to score that fast and just let Army milk the clock all day long.
Really think this could be a snoozefest the way Army vs OSU was a few years ago and it's more about playing style and defense than it is about Army upsetting a decent team.
Remind me how many starters Mythigan lost on defense.
I don't know i think like 4. 3 that actually might have mattered. They've still recruited fairly well on defense over the last few years if not only because of signing 30 kids a class. But regardless last time they had to reload a defense back in 2016 with something like 8-9 players the defense was actually better the following year with new players so i doubt they miss a beat against a slow plodding time management team like Army. My brother in law graduated from Army a couple years ago and that's the sentiment him and his classmates have.
Army just isn't the game they shit themselves on is all i'm getting at. I see why you're picking it as the upset game but i think your understanding of why Oklahoma struggled with them is a little lacking. Style of play matters.
Still don't understand why some schools won't let kids graduate early to enroll into College.
Maybe because they’re banking on that spring semester tuition? Even if a kid’s on a merit scholarship (aka scholarships for great athletes, which means no out of pocket costs to his/her family), they school likely can’t afford the precedent as it relates to the rest of the school.
I would accept that argument, but according to the net, his transfer school Mater Dei's tuition is ~$17,000 and won't allow early graduation while IMG's tuition is ~$70,000 and does allow it. So, IMG has much, much more to lose in terms of tuition $'s.
Apples and Oranges, IMG will always be the exception to a rule given the unique ‘athletic’ school that it is, while I suspect Mater Dei is more of a traditional 4 year HS.
The offseason is the longest season.
That's part of IMG's selling point. "Come here, leave early for a D1 program."
Let's bring it on!
ND already has 3 safeties committed for the 2020 class. While they would probably love to have him, there is almost nothing out there on any of their sites about him, which is telling.
Is it Boom o’clock yet?
Its gotta be BOOM:30 somewhere
"If Chase Young is truly bigger than I think he is and taller than I think he is, he would probably have to be the literal Predator because I've seen him with my own two eyes and I personally think he's pretty damn Sasquatchian." - Kevin Harrish
"... He will be introduced as an IMG cornerback Wednesday during a media days event. ..."
Good old Prime Prep East. I'm sure they have press conferences for every matriculating student.
A man got to have a code...
even if all these kids commit keeping the wolves away until they sign will be the next test. These coach's will keep calling till the end if they want a player. Another thing of interest is the class will be full here very soon it seems with more time to work on the next class. I doubt very much we go after any more wr's and that gives Hartline more time to work for next year's wr's.
This is always my worry. My hope is that, even though the Buckeyes might have some hurdles to clear, these commits will see the benefits to working to bring Ohio State even closer to on par with the Clemsons and Alabamas of the college football world and that they'll see all the other benefits Ohio State can provide. That won't ever stop me from worrying until they get on campus, but I guess going on the Buckeyes' record of getting, then keeping, recruits will have to be enough solace until then.
The recruiting wars has given me great pleasure in beating UM twice a year. Last year our haul was better but for the numbers. There were a lot of comments up there from their comment section about reeling OSU in again this year because they jumped within a few spots from us but once other teams fill out their rosters UM will drop along with their fans hopes. I see 10 schools with the possibility. Ransom will put us out of reach again if we aren't already. BIG BOOM!
Anyone else's clock going "boom, boom, boom, boom..."?
what's the news here? We are beyond commitment time.
5:00 EST (I too thought thought it was going to be any minute now haha) ....247 had the time wrong but I looked on the right side of his recruiting profile page and it had his twitter feed which shows a tweet from him saying 5:00 EST - so it'll be happy hour in OH when he announces...how considerate of him
Yeah I realized my mistake after doing a google search and finding his twitter account. Thanks.
If Ransom commits to the Buckeyes as expected, our Buckeyes will temporarily move into second place of the 247 composite Team Rankings with 288.74 total team points. Bama will doubtless pass OSU in the end, but at least the average rating per recruit for the Bucks will likely be well North of 92.0 in the end, which is a Killer class.
