As I'm sure my fellow TBDBITL alumni can attest to from their own experience, I have episodes where I spring out of bed at 3am thinking I'm late for report on gameday and then start ripping through my closet looking for my uniform - only to realize it's a Tuesday in late February and I turned my uniform in over 5 years ago.
Pick up your feet, turn your corners square! And DRIVE DRIVE DRIVE!!!
In 1993 mt buddy and i stayed up all night outisde the Ohio union to buy package tickets for tOSU-scUM-game tix and bus fare. On the day of the game we got on the bus at about 4AM to the drive to Ann Arbor. I fell asleep on the way up, and while sleeping had a "dream within a dream"-like Inception. In my dream I was in the scUM stadium, but passed out/fell asleep. Waking after the game, inside the dream, I asked someone "What happened"? "The Buckeyes got their asses kicked, 25-3", was the reply.
Upon arrival in Ann Arbor, my buddy and I began drinking snapple and vodka-it looked like we had grenades under our coats/vests. We gave out tix to the scUM ushers, and my muddy was patted down and kicked out, I made it in. I slammed the rest of my snapple-vodka and got in line to enter the stadium. I felt a punch in the back and it was my buddy-he had managed to buy a ticket for $10 and got back in. End of story, the Buckeyes got their asses kicked 28-0, I got the total points in a dream! Never had that happen since!.
( I had a dream that I missed every OSU football game and became indifferent to OSU football as a whole. )
You have issues bro.
A few weeks ago I had a dream that we lost to TTUN. Called my buddy who is a UM fan and told him about it, he told me “welcome to my reality”
"Whoa, You still dream?"
“No, I don’t dream. I’m a fucking man! I go to sleep, ’cause I’m tired from working all day, and I sleep, ’cause I have to work the next day. What are you dreaming about? Ponies and shit?”
I saw a UFO once.......it told me to have a goodyear!
Never had a bad one, but I did have a great one. A few years after my Grandpa died I had a dream that I took him to a game at The Shoe. Drove right up, then they opened a gate that allowed us to drive up a ramp right to our seats inside the stadium. As we're driving to our seats, everyone we pass is saying hi to him, calling him by name like they were all his best friend and he was theirs.
In that dream, an Ohio State home game was my Grandpa's heaven. It was amazing.
Lifetime vs. UM: L 9-1, C 8-0, T 5-0

All good either way, it was the greatest dream of all time
I had a dream last night that we got blown out by Nebraska this year, like 42-0
“LENNNNNAAAAAAYYYYYYY”-Arthur Morgan 1899
My nightmare is pretty much the one skunkweasels everywhere have been experiencing for many, many years. As we're all naturally happy to recount, Ohio state has owned the series for quite a while.
My nightmare would be a reversal of that trend.
I also had a nightmare that we were shellacked by Clemson 0-31 the last time we were in the playoff. Thank goodness that didn't really happen - right?
Good judgement comes from experience. Experience comes from bad judgement. - Will Rogers
I had a bad one that they kept throwing it to Sammy Watkins and we wouldn't make an adjustment.
I drifted off and had a dream we were beating Bingville 14-3. But I woke up kind of sad. But then I realised it was only a dream. We'll beat Bingville by more than that.
I give that dream a 10!
Leave one wolf alive....and the sheep are never safe
Funny, I have had one dream years ago. I was at the shoe, the game had started and I couldn't find my way into the seating sections. I was wondering around inside the stadium lobby / vending areas hearing the roar of the crowds and getting more and more panic / pissed off running & running trying to find a way in. Woke myself up doing so.

Success - it's what you do with what you've got. - Woody Hayes
Hove, that is a nightmare we do not wish on any OSU faithful.
I had part of that. Job took me up there for Coop's last five years.
After the "Senator" and Urban emerged it became glorious.
Has been and always will be.....
Born and bred a Buckeye - Buckeye 'til I die
My first thought was to go Pennsylvania and Penn State, but I wanted to keep Ohio State (and rivalry related).
Work pulled my father there, and I wound up going to undergrad in the Commonwealth after a stint in the World's Greatest Navy. My freshman year was 1994, and I had to endure some Nit fans who were very high on their horse. They had a great team (Nebraska still would have smoked them, imho), but man that 63-14 beatdown of Ohio State was brutal. I had to put up with that crap for years.
I remember that game more than I would like. We had the perfect weekend planned. Me and my Buckeye Bro packed up the families for a few days in the Bay area. Kids, wifes & grandmas in tow. Plan was catch the Stones in Oakland, grandmas watching the kids. Get up and watch the Buckeyes destroy Penn State while sending the families out and about to shop. We made it to the Stones, fantastic show. Watched about...too much of that beat down. Spent the rest of the day in a gloom. It was significant as it was the day our wives put the stake in the ground, demanded we would never ever again ruin a family Saturday due to a Buckeye loss.
Being honest, you'd have been better just stopping at the Stones, Skunk.
As much as it pains me to admit, Penn State was straight legit that season. I wasn't expecting a loss like that, but it was a tall enough order to go into Happy Valley that season.
I had a dream last year that we lost to TTUN 52-38 in the Shoe. Thankfully it was just a dream, and we beat them 62-39
That's a Buckeye touchdown!
Are you sure? Maybe THIS is the dream (queue Twilight Zone music).
I have a recurring dream that we play in the National Championship game and lose handily. Our opponent changes - but is always a big name program like Alabama, Clemson, LSU, etc. One times it was Texas - but they aint a big name program anymore.
Damn it feels good to be a Buckeye
Oh, you meant tOSU football. Sorry, I misunderstood.
The 2011 season. Thank goodness I woke up.
The year we got shutout by clemson i had a dream we lost 36-0 the night before, scary how close it was to being true
My nightmare was the Cooper years. I could never wake up from that one.
I dreamed we lost to Purdue 49-20....oh wait.
i mean fans of TSUN are literally living their worst nightmare every november
No bad dreams, but, unfortunately they weren't dreams--if that makes sense.
Hockey Men & Women's
I relive The Game from 1986 in my dreams all the time. I wake up in a sweat sometimes. I’m sure Matt Frantz does the same.
God i hate Harbaugh.
Not saying Harbaugh didn't play well, but Jaime Morris did most of the damage, as I recall.
The college football season is cancelled and the off season runs for 20 months uninterrupted..
Our people are everywhere, Esto Dignus.
Two different types of nightmares:
(1) missing/forgetting an OSU game was on TV; and
(2) Losing to TTUN
Bucks fans in Mass
Brian Hartline leaves because Urban never removes his interim tag and Tate Martel is our starting qb for the next two years
I dreamt that OSU got drubbed by Florida in the National Championship game. 2 nights before the actual game...
Do or do not. There is not try.
A two-loss season because that's how good things have been for Buckeye fans this century.
Every so often for the last 25 + years I've had this recurring dream that I missed the drop class date for an elective that I never went to... then I wake up and smile remembering I graduated. That and what Hove said...
I have that one, too. Where I'm on campus and I don't have my class schedule and don't know where to go. I guess we're just two guys wandering around lost in life, huh?
Isn't it great...
Amazing how it becomes quite the "revelation" in your mid-40s.
Make that 3. I haven't been in school for 40+ years and I still dream it. It's always something like a philosophy course, and I never took philosophy.
Dreamt that we lost to one of our OOC opponents this year, this past winter. I think it was Miami...
Dreamt that on every Friday - for an entire year - all newly created threads were about TTUN. Talk about a nightmare...
Shandy is not beer
I had a dream that I was at an OSU game...and I was in my underwear.
Also had many dreams of TTUN kicking the shit out of us. Even a funny one where the part of the game that happens in my dream, OSU is dominating, like 3 or 4 straight TDs, but they're still down like 63-45, and I'm asking people "how in the FUCK did TTUN put up 63 points on us!?"
Class of 2010.
The night of the 2014 NC, I had a nightmare that Oregon sued the NCAA under a strange, forgotten bylaw and got the NCAA to order a replay of the national championship and Cardale Jones got injured on the first play and we ended up losing to Oregon 31-17.
"porque las estirpes condenadas a cien años de soledad no tenían una segunda oportunidad sobre la tierra."
Having the NCAA control the championship would be nightmare enough!
I have a recurring dream that I'm back in University Hall for a final after being told I was actually a math credit short of my degree, and I'm being tested over everything I've forgotten over the past 10 years... Then I wake up in a panic until I realize they can't take back my diploma.
Oh... most of you wrote about football.
I have a recurring dream that I forget about a game on Saturday and miss it.
I've also had a nightmare come true. The Friday night before the Iowa game, I dreamt a loss. This wasn't the first time it has happened, but that nightmare will live on in infamy,
Elliott dots the eye, on this national championship win.
Waking up on graduation day and discovering I'm one credit short...
Strive at all times to bend, fold, spindle and mutilate.
I don't have dreams about the bucks except for mich week every year. It's crazy how the switch flips. I've got kids, work, etc keeping me busy all the time and during CFB season the weeks fly by and before you know it, it's Saturday again and I'm ready to watch our boys play the next game. But mich week time slows down and the intensity ramps up. I go to bed thinking about The Game every night and usually have good dreams.
On Nov 23, 1969 I dreamed that #1, undefeated, defending nat'l champs, 22-game win streak Buckeyes went to scUM and lost 24-12.
I don't have bad Ohio State dreams. If I do my brain sends a giant Brutus Buckeye wearing bright red boxing gloves and wearing a crown made of natty rings and gold pants to immediately and mercilessly beat the dream down into the deepest pits of my subconcious where it'll never be seen or heard from again.
