Good guy doing good things. I have to wonder if he personally will be teaching how to run over a bully Alabama safety.
If you ever wanted living proof how a flippant teenager can mature into a caring, responsible adult - here he is, folks - Cardale Jones.
A wise person once told me that an adult never stands taller than when they stoop to help a child. 12 Gauge is the living embodiment of that.
Mr. Jones, you have honored your parents, your teachers, your schools and this state. We are proud to call you a Buckeye. Well done, young man. Much success to you in your career.
Bucks Fan since 1970
Yea, He ain't playing school no more, he's living life right.
It is always great when a Father and son play baseball/softball together.
Michigan and Ohio once fought over Toledo. Ohio Lost
The universal and enduring language between father and son. When all else could be breaking down around them, baseball endures. They can always enjoy a game of catch together.
Hell yes, Cardale. Way to pay it forward.
He may not have come to play school, but he is for sure playing good Samaritan and giving back to his community. That's awesome.
Urban Meyer left an incredible legacy. 12/4/18 Ryan Day begins his.
Some names I haven't seen in years on that poster. Looks like fun!
"Because I couldn't go for three." - Woody Hayes
Definitely looks like a good time tomorrow, and for a good cause at that.
I had to run away high, so I wouldn't come home low...
Good work by Cardale. He benefited from others investing in his life and now he is investing in others. Tip of the cap to him.
This guy is and always will be an OSU legend.
Just build his statue already!
"Three things can happen when you pass the ball, and two of them are bad." - Woody
I am so proud of and happy for the old 12 Gauge. The legend grows!!!
This "project" and events along with others over the years just shows how well of a bond the players had with the program, school and the area.
Enjoying daily the 62-39 ttun beatdown.
.....Coming off the bench like he is Jonnny Unitas!
I really appreciate this:
“Our target audience isn’t the freak athletes that’s no matter who they train with, no matter where they go are going to have a bright, athletic career. Our target audience is pretty much the kids that’s struggling maybe with bullying or struggling with confidence or struggling kids that are 12 years old but athletically and physically they are 9 years old,” Jones said.
Cardale and Lichter seem to be doing some great stuff. Nice article.
While I’m sure he has great intentions, I also guarantee they see the business model behind this is genius. Kids will always be here and parents all think their child will A.) Be an all Star and B.) They need something to stay busy.
These things are money mills
Isn't it great when a project can be profitable and provide a great service!
Met Cardale once in the C-bus airport and he couldn't have been more pleasant. Seemed like a genuinely nice guy. Good for you Cardale!
Cardale needs to open/buy a gun shop in C-bus. Specialize in 12ga shotguns only.
"Cardale Jones? Car-DALE JONES? The whole state of Ohio... is countin' on Car.Dale.Jones."
God Bless the GOAT, love this guy
Please disregard my post just above yours. Didn't realize you beat me to it.
However, I certainly agree with you about Gus Jonson being the GOAT. He and Joel Klatt are quite the duo.
He has a strong place in our hearts. God put him onto the path.... Cardale did the rest with great leadership and total class. Buckeye legend for sure. Hopefully he gets a new opportunity in the league very very soon. Work with the guy who guides Haskins and Fields. Hopefully all positives going forward.
Keep up the great work, Cardale! Bravo!
My Favorite Football Buckeye. Ever.
So these teams I'm assuming are composed of athletes and celebs...
if the catcher happens to be a safety, and Diz is rounding third, God help the catcher if there's a play at the plate
"The future is bright at Ohio State." - Urban Meyer 1/1/15
For me the Miami game is 1A. Bama game an extremely close 1B. Cardale is a legend on the field. Will be a legend off it too. Love that guy!
