Black Eyed Peas tonight is gonna be a good night song reminds me of the 09 USC game.... So electric the whole night and then disappointment at the end. Really can't stand BEP though, that singer lady is annoying and sounds so cringey when she tries to "rap".
Of course seven nation army in the off-season always gets me thinking about games.
Can't help but think of winning it all when Centuries plays, because lord knows they played the shit out of that during the '14 season playoffs. I'll deal with annoying overplayed songs for nattys all day though.
It's time for war = kicking TTUN's ass.
Ashamed to admit I have centuries on my gym playlist. Been known to crank it in traffic during my commute too...
Bengals fan-"Welcome to the Jungle"-it's the anthem...............
"Lose Yourself" was the song for the 2002 NC team-they even played it at the frozen tundra celebration in the Horseshoe-kinda ironic that Eminem is a big scUM fan...........
Sorry, can't embed:
Centuries for the 2014 playoff win.
Takin' Care of Business, but when I hear BTO's version I really hear the Danger Brothers and it takes me back to Hineygate....which was my happy place for any and all OSU football games.
This one always brings back the 2002 TSUN game. We just needed ONE to go our way to change everything..and we got it. Now if I hear it it gets a bit dusty where ever I might be.
And on fourth and one... would you believe?
Centuries for sure. Whenever I hear that song I think of that playoff run.
Two songs that take me back to the '02 win are Mary J. Blige's "Family Affair" and Staind's (don't mark me a Nu Metal fan) "It's Been Awhile".
Fall Out Boy destroyed any musical correlation for the 2014 title...but that's ok.
I had to run away high, so I wouldn't come home low...
Ugh. The great T-Pain Sabotage of 2007 (technically 2008 because of when the BCS game was played). Thanks for reminding me. Context: My group of friends and our girlfriends at the time watched every single game together for the 2006 and 2007 seasons. T-Pain's "Buy U A Drink" came out before the 2007 season and that was like the hottest song out for a few months. Most of us were from Toledo and some of us were in Columbus. We'd either watch the games at Jed's in Toledo or Eddie George in Columbus. We would get the song played before the game and it was like our tradition. We were riding high on this, winning every game. Then came the Illinois game, which was a 330 kick and a few of the group had to go to a wedding for their sorority sister. First game we weren't together all season. We lose. So everyone was like "Yo, we are watching every remaining game together no exceptions and T-Pain is playing before all of them". Next week was Michigan at the Big House. We win. So its decided we will be going to Cbus to watch the BCS game at Eddie George. We're all together, we'll put on T-Pain, and we can't be stopped. Right? Wrong. Eddie George brings in an actual DJ (which they previously never had on regular gamedays) for the BCS watch party. Fucking dude would not play the T-Pain song. Like to the point he threatened to get us kicked out if we asked him again. The rest is history.
Crazy story. We all know why we lost the game now.
I'm dumbfounded that no one has said Seven Nation Army and the Buckeyes...!
"To Buckeye Nation: You have my word that I'm going to give everything I have to continue the tradition of excellence and winning that this program has enjoyed during its storied history."
I see that as more of a PSU thang than OSU.
In fact, I wish we'd cue up something else for the crowd to rally on.... so many options and we pick one that is used everydamnwhere.
Yeah...Happy Valley is all SNA, and they can have it.
Honestly I've always hated that association, why use an over played song by a pretentious band from Michigan when the Black Keys are from Ohio and do the same kind of music.
in the mid to late 90's they used to play this at the Jake after a Tribe win ... not sure if they do anymore

Centuries by Fall Out Boy is probably the one that comes to mind for the 2014 team. That song seemed to be everywhere. Not sure if I just have not paid as much attention but since then a song has not been quite that associated with the title.
Forever and always.........

Thunderstruck by AC/DC.
Immediately takes me back to playing "Thunderf#cked" in the front yard of our off campus house during tailgating. The game is basically you stand in a circle and each time he says the word thunderstruck the next person drinks. There are a few gaps in the song where you get "thunder#cked".

Not my favorite teams at all, but when I hear "Jump" by Van Halen, I think of the Chicago Cubs, and when I hear "We Are Family", by Sister Sledge I think of the Pittsburgh Pirates.
The Eye of the Tiger.
My son played for a team that a tiger was their mascot. Besides that, it was a great workout song
God forgive us if we forget Hang on Sloopy
Right, 4evr. And the Ohio connection?
The McCoys and and their guitarist, Rick Derringer (Ricky Dean Zehringer), who hails from Fort Recovery, Ohio.

Good stuff everyone. Thanks for helping me pass the time. A lot of songs I guessed people would choose, also several I hadn't thought of.
