Zeke better smarten up and quickly. I’d still like to keep him in high regard as a former Buckeye.

Agreed. He's reached his limit.

He volunteered to take advantage of the resources available to help him continue to grow personally.

Both Zeke and the NFL references this in their statements. It’s an odd commitment.

HS

Not so odd. He probably committed to doing some counseling or getting himself a mentor. Good. He needs it before he blows it badly.

Zeke has a big target on his back (somewhat deserved), but the NFL got this correct.

And he is now the one who is supposed to mentor Mike Weber in the NFL. At least Mike knows Zeke's faults.

I don't think anyone is counting on Zeke to mentor anyone any time soon. He has enough to worry about with keeping himself on the straight and narrow.

You can take the boy out of the hood, but he can't take the hood out of the boy.  Welcome to Zeke's world.

Congrats, you win trash take of the day.

I want a fall Saturday in Ohio Stadium..

HS

Lou-thanks.  His actions are what counts.  He is an adult getting paid to play a game.  Little kids look up to him.  He acted this way at OSU. Of course he has plenty of fans like you who either ignore what he does or do not care.

That is just ignorant. Zeke grew up a spoiled upper middle class kid who went to a fancy private school. He isn't hood'. Marshon Lattimore or Robert Landers are both hood'-and good guys off the field.

Ladue is an inner-ring suburb of St. Louis, located in St. Louis County, Missouri, United States. As of the 2013 census, the city had a population of 8,560.

Ladue has the highest median household income of any city in Missouri with a population over 1,000.

Give me this Zeke any day of the week and twice on Sundays.

This Zeke... not so much.

The problem is that both "Zeke's" in your post are displaying impulsive behavior-you can't necessarily separate one from the other. High profile charity donations don't offset poor choices in his social life-and in his defense, hooking up repeatedly w/ a chick who described herself as a "sex slave" under occupation on her social media profiles is something a lot of young men would be tempted to do a time or 5-no one is asking him to become a Jehovah's Witness.

Obviously the second graphic wasn't drawing enough contrast, but that's what we do know about Zeke's other life (and the public record, of course).

Didn't suggest Zeke should be a Saint; he's a Cowboy, fer Pete's sake.

And there's good impulsive and bad impulsive behaviors. A little forethought goes a long way, tho.

I have lots of favorite Buckeyes, and Zeke is by far my least favorite. It’s only my opinion, but he’s closer to Art Schlicher than Eddie George.

HS

Come on, he's nowhere near Schlichter.

I'm not normally an apologist for bad behavior, but this was somewhat minor and blown up.  Also Elliott seems sincere and seems to be aware of the seriousness of his actions.

Schlichter was a lifelong con artist with no conscience.

Thank you Urban Meyer and Gene Smith

Problem is that he ALWAYS pretends to be sincere and aware of the seriousness of his actions and then goes right back to the same behavior. Now personally I don't think the NFL should bother with anything a player does short of illegal activity that puts him in prison.

Again, just my opinion, but Zeke has a terrible history. Why did Bosa move out of their apartment at OSU? To remained focused? An all-American moves away from Zeke to stay focused??? Not good.

Zeke has been in the league 3 years and has been superseded once and had multiple other incidents. The trend is not favorable. Time will tell how close to Art he gets.

Zeke didn't go to the clubs w/ Urban, Art went to the track w/ Earle...............

It's not rocket science. Start dating some girls with jobs that have to get up at 7AM and get ready for work. Nothing good comes from dating girls who want to be out till 3AM spending your money..

Go Bucks!

Let me share what I heard on sports radio here, by anti Ohio State people. The victim “flopped”, and Zeke didn’t do anything. Which is why there was no arrest or charge.

I agree, he needs to stay out of the public eye. Having the announcers call your name on Sunnis the only time we should here his name.

He doesn't need to "work harder." It's pretty simple - he needs to not be a drunk asshole. It's unfortunate that doing so is hard for Zeke. Would hope for better from one of OSU's all-time greats. He's not a kid anymore.

This. He has NFL 1st round $$$$-he can stay out of sight in the champagne room............................

There is a really good man inside of Zeke but he’s being smothered by alcohol, hormones, and who knows what else. He’s been flying close to the sun since his OSU days - no sign of maturity or big grow up moment happening yet. Not sure how much longer it will take but my sympathy for the impulsiveness of youth is about done. I’m concerned about how he’s taking care of his mind and body - he looks like a garbage dump these days. I really hope someone gets through to him soon before it’s too late.

Love Zeke, but he needs to demonstrate better maturity and judgement. A good start would be a more conservative personal appearance without the wild hair a bushy beard. I respect a person's right to express themselves with their looks, but he has to remember that he also represents a professional football team and the NFL.

Your comment will be taken as one of the 'ist" because the truth as you see it must be an "ism" in todays society as run by the mass media and a few college proffs.
