Hmmmmmmm-sounds like Coach Day might be establishing a better foundation for recruits than Meyer. Emphasizing tOSU-the school and the program, not "I'm the greatest recruiter ever"!
Buy in to The Brotherhood.
I want a fall Saturday in Ohio Stadium..
Stay golden, Ponyboy.
“My commitment is now to the campus, to the university, to the alumni, to the community,” Johnson said. “Before, it was really Coach Meyer. But now I found other reasons to stay, and I’m more comfortable than I ever was.”
Well stated by the young man.
In old Ohio there's a team that's known throughout the land...
Chills... he's gonna be a great buckeye
With the comment he just made quoted above your post, Seltsa, he already is.
Very smart young man as well.
What's round on the ends and high in the middle? Tell me if you know!
If he was a Michigan State commit, he would've went elsewhere because they don't allow recruits to look around.
You're either at the table, or on the menu!!
They hasn’t been their philosophy there for a few years. They realized it doesn’t work with kids today
Works at Clemson... Dani tells the kids to decommitt if they are gonna visit elsewhere
Dabo*^ (stupid autocorrect)
Dabo is hot right now-lets see how he deals w the inevitable bumps.
For some reason when you said this I instantly thought of this:
If I must choose between peace and righteousness, I choose righteousness! -Theodore Roosevelt.
I'd love to see Dabo and his coaching staff have a gasoline fight.............................
Sometimes you look around and it makes you appreciate what you already have. Glad he's sticking with the good guys.
Sounds like Coach Day is making quite the impression on recruits and their families. I am so excited for the future of the Program. Go Bucks!
Fields of Dreams
Did he mention Coach Day?
If it quacks like a duck, it’s probably a duck. Kid is gonna be a super duck.

Paris is clearly more mature, and thoughtful, than many of us fans...
About damn time..
I would like to see this guy be GREAT. Keep that comfort level, dude.
“Being average means you are as close to the bottom as you are to the top.” John Wooden
That's exactly what it should be about. The entire program. Not just the coach. And we definitely have probably the best of them all. O-H
Late in, but great read.
Also appreciate Paris' maturity, and respect his transparency on a very personal decision.
"Sure, officials are supposed to be great, but on my worst day, could I be there? It just didn’t check that box.”
If there's ever a guidebook for recruits in helping them reach their decision, that's not bad opener there.
I had to run away high, so I wouldn't come home low...
Sure, officials are supposed to be great, but on my worst day, could I be there? It just didn’t check that box.”
Paris Johnson is a well-spoken and thoughtful young man. While there has been angst among some in the fan base about his intentions, it appears that everything Paris has done has been with the knowledge and approval of the coaching staff. It's been quoted several times already but "on my worst day could I be there" demonstrates the deep level of thought Paris put into making his decision.
I'm very impressed and glad he is a Buckeye. Go Bucks!
