That is actually funny about a fake recruiting battle. Leave it to the skunk weasels.
Bet someone is preparing design drafts for this their newest banner!
It's all part of the mirage.
Strive at all times to bend, fold, spindle and mutilate.
Did they really beat us for Mohan either? Last time I remember hearing about him in the hurry-up, Meyer was still our coach. So I dont think we were after him that hard. Its funny that over at mgoblog they think this too.
MI is desperate for any kind of perceived ‘win’ over OSU, recruiting or otherwise. In fact, they are lost in our wake.
Doss means "bed down"? No, it means hard hit or pick six.
Ua Mau ke Ea o ka 'Aina I ka Pono. The life of the land is preserved in righteousness. (Hawai'i state motto) Aloha nui kakou.
It means giving the opponent snot bubbles.
i was fully expecting to simply see a picture of Mike when I clicked on the link. needless to say, i was disappointed
I'm glad we could help out when the dictionary failed to provide a pic.

"The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." - Edmund Burke
This year should be fun for Ohio State fans! Watching players like Mr White grow even more makes it even more so. It sure is hard to maintain some perspective, and high expectations have been hard to ignore. I guess just enjoy the good times!!!
Beat everyone, in every sport, all the time!!!
TTUN is actually humiliating itself with its renewed hype effort respecting its recruiting class. I suppose the excuses will come next when we finish ahead of them in the 247 comp.
Also, a number of their signature recruiting wins (e.g. Peppers or Gary) have underperformed exceptionally for them. So much for player development.
"The minute we stop expecting greatness, we become Wisconsin."
We land a top 50 2021 player the same night TTUN officially blows their 1-0 series lead. Gonna be a good day.

Is self awareness just not really a thing in Ann Arbor? Do they really think nobody is going to point out that Ohio State wasn't really recruiting those guys very hard, if at all? They're so sad and pathetic I almost take pity on them. But then I read articles like Ramzy's yesterday that reminds me of growing up in Michigan in the 90's and I smile imagining how much pain must be associated with being a michigan fan these days. It was funny how excited they got about college baseball all the sudden. And now thats gone too.
"They're so sad and pathetic I almost take pity on them."
Yeah, that happens to me too on occasion. Then I recall the dark era known as the 90's and the hate once again flows freely, like the first warm breeze of spring after a particularly dreary winter.
Braxton? How does he get left out?
I know there's a game Saturday, and my ass will be there.
I Believe In Ohio State.
I have 6:10 a.m., M...igan still sucks.
I had to run away high, so I wouldn't come home low...
Ditto at 6:20.
"Bring back St John"
I’m late. It’s 8:18. But just checked, yep they still suck.
Fields of Dreams
8:55... still sucking!
Any swallowing yet?
m GO BLOW!!!
My watch stopped...which proves Michigan sucks until the end of time.
Brendan white is going to be excellent as the bullet. He’s the perfect size, has the speed and aggression and instincts. He’ll set the standard for that position
Urban Meyer left an incredible legacy. 12/4/18 Ryan Day begins his.
So is the Bullet going to become known as "the Brendan White position"?
Wouldn't shock me at all.
I actually draw a strong parallel to Curtis Samuel and the HB with Brendan White and the Bullet.
We largely (the Buckeyes NOT the Gators) didn't have an identity at that spot over the first few seasons. There were guys shuffling in and out there, making plays here and there, but we didn't see it maximized until Samuel took over and set the standard.
I feel like we're going to see something similar with White and the Bullet.
Three championship games for scum in b-ball and baseball lately and three L’s.
Banks of olentangy
They put the L in wolverine.
I had to click on the monorail link once I saw it, being a Simpsons fan and all. Happy to read that the man who bought said monorail is also a fan, and that he has screenings of the episode in the train. That is funny stuff.
Anchor Down Commodores. Possibly the first time I paid attention to the college baseball finals. Since I have a Vandy alum in the extended family, she did a great job texting a bunch of us to keep us apprised. Yet another loss for ttun. It is now 6:41 am (and _ichigan still sucks at baseball and recruiting)
"They say, "these geeks come a dime a dozen. I'm lookin' for the guy who's supplyin' the dimes." -Classy Freddie Blassie
Hopefully Brandon confuses the offense and not the defense. I think a confused defense may have been part of the problem last year.
Thank you. I was wondering the same thing. Reading that sentence made me ... confused.
That's a major pet peeve of mine, when writers aren't good enough to either a) get the quote CORRECT or b) understand what the guy was saying and correct the quote. When you're putting someone's words in writing, you owe it to them to make sure it's right and that they don't sound stupid (unless the point of quoting them is to SHOW their error).
This is directed at the original author, NOT Kevin.
“The best executive is the one who has sense enough to pick good men to do what he wants done, and self-restraint enough to keep from meddling with them while they do it.” – Theodore Roosevelt
I went to the Japanese robot restaurant earlier this year. Walking in, I wasn't really sure I was gonna like it. You're in a basement that's probably a huge fire code violation. Then the show started, and it was so great. My face was sore from laughing the whole time.
Pro tip, buy a full bottle of whiskey, it's the price of 2 drinks and you can take it home with you.
I just talked to her last week. She was gonna make a pot for me.
Your username alone got me laughing this morning. Did her family ever get over losing her in that terrible kiln explosion?
I survived Cooper, and I hate Tai Streets.
It was rough in the beginning, but time eventually heals all wounds.
So glad to hear it. She had such a bright future ahead of her; a rare talent for pottery.
Time eventually wounds all heels, as well.
All I know for sure is Shelly Dubinsky was 'HOT' for sure... even though Fawn definitely was hot when she left us...
Fawn was definetly one to get all fired uop over. Every time I saw her I got a glazed look in my eyes.
Are you potted?
The guy who bought a monorail for $1,000...
I swear I thought this was going to be about Jungle Jim.
....and apparently he only paid $1 for the one he got from Kings Island.
I figured Columbiana County would be one of the ones without any OSU players from there... I was wrong... but 1990 was the last time.
When I originally read the article yesterday (O-Zone is my 2nd favorite OSU site), there were 11 counties missing, Apparently it'e been updated since I read it.
Interesting read on the players from Ohio counties.
I would like to add Rick Middleton from Delaware County. Beast linebacker in the early 70's that went on to play for the Saints.
I played against him in football and basketball in HS. He was a beast. It didn't surprise me a bit when I read he busted his helmet in a hit at a OSU practice as a freshman.
Rick is a great guy. Lots of fun. I played a lot of poker with him into the wee hours of the morning in Stradley Hall. He was a better linebacker than he was a poker player.
I was a snot nosed kid in the neighborhood...he was the biggest human I had met at that time in my life. But he always was cool to all us youngsters!
I wonder how many players were missed in that article? Dane Sanzenbacher is missing from Lucas County, he played in HS at Toledo Central Catholic.
I was thinking about how they could've possibly missed Sam Hubbard. But after I reread the article, they only list the latest players from each county, not all of them.
Edit - answered a couple replies below.
Not to mention Doug "White Lightning" Donley from Guernsey Co. Played from 78-81. Broke all kinds of records as WR with Art Slieshter (spelling) at QB.
I am definitely no recuitnik, but I read articles from a few sites to stay aware. Honesty, I don’t even remember reading the name Blake Corum and maybe read William Mohan’s once. These certainly weren’t players OSU was actively pursuing.
11W has its big board and the forum has multiple posts with lists of offers and visitors. You either have to be be intentionally ill-informed or totally desperate to call these recruiting wins. And I mean no disrespect to these young men despite the poor choice they’re about to make.
It’s just that you can’t call it a win when both teams aren’t competing. Now Zach Harrison - signing him was a win.
I like the county-by-county recruiting article, but I was surprised to see that Buster Tillman out of Steubenville Big Red in Jefferson county got missed. He played at OSU in the '90s and had some splash moments at receiver.
This list contains the most recent players from each county, not everyone in history.
And this, right here, is why my wife tells me I need to pay better attention.
My wife tells me stuff all the time, but I'm usually not paying close enough attention to repeat it later for the fine folk here at 11W
Are you sure she said that?
- OSU ISE -+- Premium Banter -+- OH48 80k -
Well, I thought that's what she said, but I got distracted checking 11W for the next boom.
This morning we welcome Vanderbilt to the *ichigan dream crusher club; well done Commodores, well done!
The only hard day was yesterday
Aaron Craft is still one of my favorite all time Buckeyes.
Seems like a lot of scholarship people were left off the county by county list. I went to Logan High School in Hocking county and several classmates were left off the list and these were starters. Josh Jackson (Kicker) & Brooks Burris (OT). Also, how does Fairfield county not include Rex Kern or Bobby Carpenter?
I made the same mistake, Boomer. It's only the most recent players, with walk-ons noted too.
Jim Stillwagon was the last scholarship player listed in the county I grew up in. He was born in my hometown but went to HS at a Virginia Military Academy which is probably why he’s in the CFB hall of fame instead of having just been some random factory worker. Coaching matters.
Life choices matter more.
In case anyone is curious, I looked up the four Ohio counties that have never sent a player to OSU for football. Each of the counties is in South East Ohio, near the Kentucky and West Virginia border.
WEED(S) KILL(S). Stay frosty, wild plant consumers/sniffers/close-starers – two deadly weeds are on the loose.
This is more CalPoppy's domain, but thought I'd add one more here: Datura stramonium, AKA Jimson Weed. It's killed several young people here on the Borderland who experimented with its psychotropic properties. Absolutely gorgeous flower (Georgia O'Keeffe loved painting them), but still a deadly plant.
I am not very smart, but I recognize that I'm not very smart. --- W.W. Hayes
That robot restaurant was featured the last time Anthony Bourdain did a show in Tokyo. The Japanese love their anime kitsch.
Trey Leroux is really the only noteworthy tOSU signee this year in terms of county heritage, first commit from Huron County in 40 years.
What was the criteria for the county players? Guernsey County is wrong. Terry White was the most recent player from that county from the class of 1983, even though he was only there for a couple of seasons.
