This barbecue better go well

Pass the tater salad?
Hindsight is, and in, 2020
I just meant because of how many prospects are on campus. It wouldn’t be good if it dosent go well.
Dubs, you’re not having the best night, re: your recruiting posts. You might want to call it quits so you can recalibrate.

No 5 star 2021 recruits at the Buckeye Bash? Getting off to a bad start (italics)
which Lettermen Row reports will be focused on providing a foundation for the 2021 class, rather than convincing 2020 targets to commit to Ohio State.
Seems odd that they say it's focused on building for 2021 rather than 2020, but there are more than twice as many 2020 targets as 2021 targets. Hopefully everyone has a great time and it's a big success!
Those are just the 2021 prospects I've been able to confirm. There may be more there. Also, the event itself is focused on 2021 recruits, but that list is for all the prospects that will be in Columbus for visits this weekend. 2020 guys might show up for a short time, but the barbecue is mostly for 2021 guys on unofficials.
I thought that Kyle McCord was coming in this weekend? Change of plans?
Disregard comment on McCord. Saw that he was mentioned in the article instead of being on the list.
Whhooo boy. First time I watched any Zach Evans film. Gotta land this kid.
You win with people.
And so forth...

"Ryan Day is our Baby Yoda. We must protect him with our lives." ~ D. J. Byrnes
I don't think there's a big chance we could land him, but him coming up here on his own dime for an unofficial says there is legit interest and it's not just trolling. If they can get him up here for an official during the season, there's might be a real chance. One thing the Buckeyes can offer that Georgia, Bama etc can't is a clear path to being "the man" at RB for an elite team quickly. Bama, Georgia, LSU have more crowded RB rooms right now, but because of the timing and losing Snead, tOSU can essentially sell fast starting time for an elite high profile school. I'd think that would be attractive to a 5 star RB...
FYI: Donovan Edwards is a RB, not a WR
And why do people continue to refer to Rosemy as a 5 star even though he’s ranked as a 4-star right now? Is it just a matter of “rounding up” because he’s close? I’m not critiquing. Legitimately asking.
Believe he's a rivals 5 star
I look forward to this weekend, it appears that Day likes to create a bit of momentum on the recruiting trail as well as Urban did in Phillips announcing Friday to kickoff the weekend in what appears like a boom for the good guys.
I was apprehensive at first about no Friday night lights but looking at it now I think this will allow better relationships to be formed and we already have seen enough of the players that will be attending to know they’re all quality players that are takes. This will pay dividends for 2021 and also helps us start to put clarity on our 2020 class. Call me crazy but I feel like we have a better shot at Evans than many think.
I am a Michigan booster bud....just spent $182 bucks at Wal-Mart this morning.
I was thinking the same thing about Evans. Initially, didn't think we had a chance but since he is here on his own dime and may come up for an official visit this season...one never knows. I wonder how the coaches view this? If one of the other two guys we are pursuing, Robinson or Milton, want to commit do we hold off for a shot at Evans?
Absolutely not. If Robinson or Milton approaches Ohio State wanting to commit, the probability of them turning either of them down is next to zero.
Bird in hand...
Thank you for all your work here lately with the camps that are occurring and keeping us updated. In your opinion are any of the 3 higher than the other in the staffs eyes or yours. Just seeing their film I do like the game of Robinson and Evans over Milton just in our offense.
Evans and Robinson seem to have more overall skill than Milton appears more of the bruising type. Just curious your thoughts or anything you’ve heard to indicate a preference.
The staff wants all three. A preference is tough for a staff as good as OSU's and the talent as good as these three. Any of them will be successful in Columbus. I personally like Robinson's game, but I would take any of the three too. The Buckeyes will be getting a running back that could immediately hit the field with any of these guys.
So....Who bringing the BBQ??

Urban is manning the smoker...we’re all good.
Fields of Dreams
And he didn't invite me!
Best comment this week.
So, because Fleming committed Rosemy doesn’t? Not sure I understand why having a great teammate would have been an issue
Isn’t this barbecue thing a gimmick or funny? It was with our fan base when Michigan did it. What’s changed?
Ryan Day’s the head coach, for one thing.
We knew he was going to keep some things or add his own twist or bring something new. This is almost a case of all rolling all three into one event-it’s FNL with a different flavor.
It was funny because Brady Hoke was a...large...man. So of course he would schedule a food oriented event.
Pick up your feet, turn your corners square! And DRIVE DRIVE DRIVE!!!
Maybe Day secretly likes UM. First he poached Mattison & Washington & now this.
Strength equipment is expensive & guarantees you nothing. A strong will is free & will give you everything you need.
I don't know if it was necessarily the BBQ itself that was funny when TTUN did it...might have been the coach at the time that made it funny.
Class of 2010.
Trust me. Our fan base thought the BBQ was a joke.
All these teams have this sort of thing. Not sure who does the cooking but I can imagine a BQ in Texas at one of those schools. I feel Rosemy if he had any true interest he would of made it here. Hard to pull the south up north and with OSU on his resume makes him look good. I feel he was SEC from the get fire Hartline lol
Y'all got BBQ back there and didn't invite me, HURT MY FEELINGS.
Unlike Denzel Ward, a lot of kids have been invited to the BBQ they're going to have back there. Get 2021 off to a solid start and hey, if you can land some 2020 guys, too, that's a bonus.
It would be almost unfair if OSU landed Rosemy on top of Fleming and everyone else. Needless to say, though, if the QB can get these WRs the ball, the passing game should remain potent even if we don't see the video game numbers that Haskins put up last year.
