Great for Conley.  Bigger haul than I’d expect for him, only because he’s making so much in salary, not because he isn’t worth it.  Jazz will be looking good next year

Conley has to be thrilled to be playing along side Gobert, Mitchell and Favors! Jazz just got better.

They sure did!  Mitchell is a very talented player.  They will be a fun team to watch.  Conley & Mitchell will be quite the backcourt.

So Memphis is taking that model of sportsmanlike behavior Grayson Allen?

With a young core they are trying to establish a new culture!

I’m more impressed that Kyle Korver is still kicking around. He’s played with everyone in the league at this point.

In the current style of basketball played today, there's always a place for a guy who can hit the "3."

That was probably the key to the whole thing for Utah, no deal if you don't take him.

My aim, then, is to whip the Weasels, to humble their pride, to follow them to their inmost recesses, and make them fear and dread us. Fear is the beginning of wisdom.   - William Tecumseh Sherman (with apologies)

This has been rumored for a while now.  Makes sense given that Memphis is going young.  Should be good for Conley too.

They are getting Jah Morant, so yes, get younger and cheaper.

He to this day is still one of my favorite if not all time favorite Buckeyes. He was so fun to watch along with that team.  Wish this guy the absolute best.

I remember how when him and Oden were being recruited that Conley was sort of a nice bonus in the triumvirate of Oden ,Cook and Conley... Many thought he was a two or three year player at the time along with Cook, Oden being the Bell cow.  After about his 5th game played I was telling everyone I knew that he was a 1st round pick now. He was a fantastic PG .

If that team had shot their season average from 3pt range that night the Bucks would have been National Champs... they were not guarded that well from three, IOW it was not great Florida D, they just missed open shots that they normally would hit... still hard to take even now but a great Buckeye team.

Something like that always seemed to happen to Matta's better teams in the tourney - like Buford's poor shooting against KY in 2011. But then again, maybe something similar can be said any time ANY good team loses in the tourney - " but for [x] we would have won."

I'm sure he is happy, but......smh the jazz?! if he would have just waited 10 more days............

HS

Waited ten days for what? He wasn’t going to be a free agent

With that salary, Conley would play any place. Didn't know Memphis even had an NBA team.  /s

Feel bad for Conley. He's spent his entire career in NBA wasteland markets. Was hoping to see him go somewhere with a storyline (i.e. Houston, LA, Boston).

Take Your Pick

Drama trumps being on a good team? Whatevs. Boston is a flaming mess at the moment, w/ Kyrie's antics.

Think he was saying playing for a team with a significant media market so he can get his just due. Playing in Memphis basically cost him All-Star berths and now the same thing will probably happen in Utah since they fly under the radar as well.

No need to feel bad for him. If it wasn't his choice then for sure.. but he LOVED Memphis and could have been traded for years and decided to stay and Utah was his idea. Some people are more than happy outside the big lights of the big city. He got exactly what he wanted.

There are the same sort of whispers with Kemba Walker.. those around him say he would hate living in LA, NY or Boston..

Go Bucks!

Mike is a big fish in a little pond, and content with that. He’s a great dude, as is his wife. He’ll be fine in Utah.

How in hell is that possible? 12 years! Time flies

My thoughts exactly!

Gentlemen, you can't fight in here, its a war room

HS

I was going to mention that too... just wait until he figures out Utah isn’t a city!

HS

I'm a Jazz fan-basically by serendipity-but regardless, Conley and Mitchell is a helluva backcourt, and I won't have to see Grayson Allen playing for a team I like.

HS

I can't think of an NBA player I dislike more than Grayson Allen. It's not even close.

As a resident of SLC for the last 4.5 years, it’s nice to finally have a reason to cheer for the Jazz. I remember watching Conley play when I was a senior at OSU. He was-and still is-my favorite basketball buckeye.

On an unrelated note, Gobert lives near my practice and I see him out walking all the time; can’t miss him!

Good for Conley. Gobert, Conley and Mitchell is a really nice core.  They were already a playoff team and this will make them better on both ends of the floor.

West is going to be CRAZY deep again this coming season..

Go Bucks!

I thought he may go to the Lakers

how many times has Kyle Korver been traded ?  He is still in the association at his age ( 38 ). Just goes to show how important it is to compliment great players with 3pt shooters. His ability to catch and shoot the 3ball has kept him a valuable commodity
