What are the chances he becomes an MMA fighter once he completes his wrestling career?

Strength equipment is expensive & guarantees you nothing. A strong will is free & will give you everything you need.

More like WWE with his Captain America persona.

50/50 I'd say. He is making a ton of money right now and could run any college he wants to when he is ready.  So he could make a fortune and mold men for the future.  If his faith is super strong, I'd guess Olympics til coaching with maybe a few fights sprinkled in.

It has to be so frustrating for Gadson. He's a legitimate stud but he has the misfortune of being stuck behind a once in a generation talent.

The flowrestling instagram snapshot above says  he will represent the USA at the world/Olympic championships. Does this also qualify him as our 97kg for the Olympics?  I assumed they will still have the Olympic trials, and he’d get a bid to the finals in the trials to face whomever comes through the other end of the gauntlet.

He only sits in the Olympic Trials finals if he medals at Worlds this year. This years worlds is HUGE for each guys chances to make the Olympic team. If they medal they sit in the finals, if not they have to wrestle in the trials tournament.

Knar, what that caption meant was that he’s been Team USA’s guy for five years in a row, which includes the 2016 Olympics. The Olympics is the World Championship at the Olympic weights that year. He will have to wrestle for his spot next year, but as mentioned by the previous commenter, he’ll have an auto-bid to the finals if he medals at worlds again this year.

Andy, so do you see Sadulaev moving up to 97kg for the 2020 Olympics (and not before)?  From reading comments he has made, it seems like he wants the rubber match to be on the Olympic stage.

That won't surprise me at all. There was a trifling thought they'd meet at the Yarygin, but that didn't happen... so maybe he wrestles 92 kg at world's and 97 kg in Tokyo? I could see that. I don't know that I'd put money on it, but it won't surprise me.

Feels like he wants to make it 2 of 3 and that be the end of it, calling it a win over Snyder. Moving up 2 classes to Snyder’s weight, it would be pretty convincing. The Tank is an absolute machine. I’ve learned never to count out Snyder, though.

Andy, J'den Cox at 92kg.  I don't see it.  J'den came in to train at the ORTC in Cols with Kyle, Myles and Kollin the week before his Final-X at Rutgers against Nickel.  Love how Kyle speaks publicly about his spirituality.  He has improved his gut wrench!

I'm with you Johnnie - never say never with a wily Russian, but I wouldn't bet on it. And amen with everything else you said - good stuff all around!

I can’t wait for him to get into MMA. He’d be a monster and tbh wrestlers have ran the game lately. Wrestling is the best base.

Very very rarely do Olympic champions or the best in any Martial art go into MMA. They rarely have anything to prove as they already did that. MMA seems to get guys that were very close to the top.   John Smith, Cael Sanderson, Logan Stieber, Dave Schultz, Jordan Burroughs, etc. kinda stick to what they are best in the world at.

Kyle plans to wrestle thru 2028.  I see him retiring.  He just got married so kids will probably be in the equation by then.  He is doing very well with Rudis, Rogue, Clinics, etc.

I don't think I agree with that statement. MMA is still a very young sport and has had a lot of top level athletes go into it. 2 dual title holders (Cejudo and Cornier) were the top of the wrestling game. Frye, Coleman, Severn, Randleman, Romero, Mark Schultz, Hendricks, Kevin Jackson, etc. all were top wrestlers, with several having international success. Top jui jitsu practiners go into it. Top boxers normally don't because they would get mauled and the money is better at the top in their sport.

I read it was closed. On the way to Bagram....I guess Jan 2009 there was a snow storm. So the C17 turned around and stopped. And us civilians went straight to the watering hole.

Absolute BEAST.  I wish sports like wrestling got more attention - it is truly one of the finest sports there are because it is 1 on 1 and truly measures the best a person can bring.
