Even if he's a "project," I think the Buckeyes need to offer a legacy player like Drew Donley.
I'd rather be an hour early than a minute late.
WHY what does OSU owe these kids? OSU gave dad a free education and helped him with his dream for the NFL with the Cowboys. I can never understand that thinking no offense I hope. Tress pulled that with Archie's kid and his only offer was either Navy or Army. Although he turned out to be a decent sp.teams player but still took a ship away from someone who may have done something here or at the least could use the ship.. Dad could of had his boy walk on. Just another on a long list why I disliked Tress.
First of all, young Donley is a pretty good athlete who needs some work on his route running and Hartline would be a great one to teach him and you can't teach speed. IIRC, Donley's already gotten several offers. He's gonna play somewhere, I don't want a legacy kid to go somewhere else and burn the Buckeyes along the way. One certainly could not dispute his pedigree.
You gave one example of a legacy kid not going on to be a big star, but I think the Buckeyes owe Donley at least a thorough evaluation and then, an offer.
Edit to add: Not my DV, BTW. I don't agree with you, but you did not violate any site policy. (DVs are not a way to show you disagree with a post.)
