This should be good. I predict that they're so po'd at Arizona and Louisville, that Ohio Northern will get the death penalty.

My aim, then, is to whip the Weasels, to humble their pride, to follow them to their inmost recesses, and make them fear and dread us. Fear is the beginning of wisdom.   - William Tecumseh Sherman (with apologies)

Pffft nothing of consequence will happen.

We will be very, very angry with you. And we will write you a letter, telling you how angry we are.

Yeah, I'm sure we'll see harsh penalties.

Something tells me that the Consequences will be almost non existent. Something like "You get one less hour of practice time this offseason" or "Your coach is suspended for a preseason scrimmage and the Free intersquad game you hold next year, you can't charge for tickets". Essentially nothing that actually hurts anyone. And then next year some team is going to voluntarily disclose that their coach unknowingly talked to the 7th cousin of a recruit and he gets a 50 year show-cause and the school will get the death penalty in all sports.

But...but Auburn was just a Cinderella story in the last tourney and Pearl is a pearl.

Nothing happens in college basketball. Ask North Carolina.

Stay golden, Ponyboy.

Just another average day in the world of college basketball. Nothing to see here.

The NCAA's credibility has been shot for years, with their wild inconsistencies and general toothlessness. This could be an opportunity for them to re-assert themselves as some sort of legitimate governing body, but I won't hold my breath.  These were some pretty serious violations committed by big name schools, so if they don't have some backbone on this case, one would doubt if they ever will again.

I will not go into much detail, so take it for what it’s worth.  Someone with knowledge on the workings of KU once told me that Self has some interesting language in his contract protecting him financially in the event of a scandal.

I always wondered how accurate this friend was.  I might get to find out though if that happens.

So if Auburn gets whacked does that mean the double dribble in the F4 never happened?
