That’s gonna leave a mark....
“The best executive is the one who has sense enough to pick good men to do what he wants done, and self-restraint enough to keep from meddling with them while they do it.” – Theodore Roosevelt
The Penn St fans went through all kinds of mental gymnastics to shrug off the Julian Fleming commitment as either no big deal, and in some laughable cases, actually as a good thing. I have to think a literal steal of a highly touted and already committed O-lineman with a high ceiling will be a bit more difficult to make excuses for, especially coming so quickly after Fleming's decision to forsake the "home" team.
Just gotta hold onto Paris now and this O-line is gonna be a strength for years to come.
"No we don't give a da*n 'Bout the whole state of *ichigan"
True. Once Toutant decommitted, he could have gone home to Michigan, but he didn't So there really is no excuse PSU can make.

no psu + no homstate ttun = double steal.
Justice delayed is justice denied....#FTP
he didn't have an offer from TTUN.
He wanted to be 3 hours closer to home.
Top 5 class by the end of this month for sure.
Your kidding, right. This is lower ranked option that will lower the averages for sure.
Still a 4 star offensive tackle. Cant ask for much more when you have a 5 star OT already committed.
Maybe, but the recruiting ranks aren't based on average.

Welcome to the family, Grant!
This is gratifying on multiple levels.

What’s going on in Franklin land? Probably a lot of weeping.
Love it. Makes Monday at work enjoyable. I work in Pennsylvania. First fleming, now toutant.
O line any coach will tell you is the hardest to predict what the future holds talent wise. Some stand out as no brainers the others you can throw in a pile and hope they want to be coached up and have a coach that can do it. I was down pretty hard on our one lineman but the more I read about him it seems he wants to be great and is doing things that some kids would pass off once they got accepted. This might be a great line down the road. Now I hope the coach is up for the challenge and wonder how much he had to do with getting these kids here. Only a couple are who who's in this years line class.
Loading up on OTs. Any concern that our staff is expecting a flip from a certain OT commit of our own ?
Negative ghost rider.
Don't get too giddy over this. I follow his league & he didn't even make Honorable Mention All-State. Didn't even make Honorable Mention All-East Side Area (OL teammate did). Maybe his non-in-game performance for the Regional in Cin. caught a few eyes.
I'm thinking this is more a reflection on Stud more than anything else as many, many higher ranked OLmen are passing on his recruiting speak.
I’m no longer too giddy.
thanks a lot.
6'7' and a lot of babyfat......perfect for some time in the dojo. We're stacked so he won't need to see the field till 2021.
Enjoy the wins over *ichigan, ....I still remember the dark days of the 1990's....
As has been stated, a "Double Stomp" on puke st. & the skunk weasels...nice.
Anytime for any reason to get OVER on those two fragmenting whine'rs makes the off season just that much better.
He must be a good player or the talent to be one because PSU as much I can't stand them took him early and didn't need to. I wonder more what went wrong at PSU and we never heard a peep about him. He also hasn't played much football on the oline but again another worry why isn't he the left tackle which is the teams best?? There is something funny to me about this but maybe just my negative taking over.
Just heard from the DEAN and he mentioned he likes this young man and said to some in January that he wasn't sure the PSU commit would stick. He was correct on at least one. We will take another lineman if he is the right fit.
