Lachey a 4* and Royer a mid 3*. Expect that to change at some point.
Fuck eSECpn and fuck Mythigan.
To overcome Lachey's legacy edge, Royer must be pretty darn good.
I'd rather be an hour early than a minute late.
He really impressed me in comparison to what I was expecting, with Thursday being the first time I’ve seen him play in person.
I’m guessing Coach Day is doing away with Friday Night Lights?
Where did you hear FNL is going away?
It’s usually in early July, and I haven’t heard a peep about it. It’s now almost mid-June.
Lachey I think is not that good if you read the write up. They still want another top te to go with Royer. He also was sweating more than Lachey in all the pictures shown here.
Yeah, I expect Royer to be at least a 4 star by signing day.
Lachey is a 4*?
The pain of discipline or the pain of regret, take your pick
Will someone please give Hartline a raise?
He's not going anywhere. In fact...I'd wager he's the next HC in 10-15 years after Ryan Day wins 2-3 NCs and then moves on to the NFL.
You're too stupid to have a good time. -Dalton
Dantonio will be all over Lachey. Just the type of player they love to snag.
Noon games suck
Milton looks awful in those unicorn fart colors. S&G is a much better look.
Can't wait to see how it pans out at running back and H-back.
Keep football fun
Was Jutahn McClain even a take?
Lock down the Ohio top players. Starting to feel a tsunami.
“Being average means you are as close to the bottom as you are to the top.” John Wooden
Which Ohio players that we want have we missed on this year? I can’t think of any yet.
"I don't think you necessarily have to get a trophy to be a winner." - Nick Saban 1/2/15.
I did not say we did. Maybe I should have written KEEP locking down...Although the Bucks have 4 recruits "committed" thus far. My point was it seems like there are a few more Ohio recruits scheduled in the upcoming weeks(see articles), and I'm hoping we can lock them down.
Penn State better keep their kitty paws off of Kourt Williams. He’s gonna be a Bullet!
Fields of Dreams
We just flipped an OL from them! 4* Grant Toutant
Good call. We took him from Penn St. Our gain their loss. Great addition !
Cody Simon's older brother Shayne is starting at ND this fall. Maybe Cody wants to play with his brother and maybe he doesn't. I suspect it is not true, however, that he doesn't care one way or the other about playing with him. So it's either an advantage or a disadvantage to ND to have Cody's brother on the roster.
That would be awkward to see LACHEY on the back of a TTUN or The Fighting Dantonios.... hmmmmm ...reallyy? Our Color Analyst's kid, former All American for us? He'd never be able to watch his son play, unless he calls the game where he's on the Opposition? We have no room for him? Preferred walk on? Grey Shirt?
EXACTLY. I don't know anything about Joe Royer, although he seems like a pretty good tight end. I live in Grandview Heights and my younger son plays basketball with Luke Lachey, so I know this about Luke:
1. He's super nice from a great family with, as you pointed, a father who is an Ohio State legend. If character counts, he's got got it.
2. He's an elite athlete in 3 sports: basketball, football, and track. He's mister everything for the GH football team, doing whatever the team (with fewer than 30 kids for varsity) needs and excels at it. As a sophomore, he was the MSL player of the year for *basketball* after leading GH to the league championship. As a junior, he missed part of the season due to illness but returned to ledd the basketball team to the Central District title where he absolutely slammed the door shut on Johnstown (see the video link below). And, he was all-state in track, reaching the podium for both the high jump (which he tried for "fun" and had never done before this March) and the 4x100 relay.
If Luke ends up at another B1G school, we're probably going to regret it.
