Chase Young to return following the Rutgers game, will play against Penn State.
Aaron Craft international is awesome. Would love to watch him guard Steph Curry in a series.
Those pink uniforms though.
Still surprised Sully isnt in the NBA, it's clear he is far better than the league he is in.

First of all, thank you Colin for this article. Good work. I'm always curious about what our former Buckeyes are doing overseas. Basketball is truly an international, almost global, sport. I was surprised to find out there is a pro league in Japan. Glad to see so many former OSU players making a living doing what they enjoy.
Echoing Puddy’s comment.
This was really fun to read.
Yes this took a lot of good work. Well done.
What day is this?
Not much of a pro hoops fan, but appreciate the details compiled here on past Buckeyes who are still grinding overseas.
Very good read, CHH - thanks for all this info.
Wow, who would've guessed that so many Buckeyes were playing for dough overseas?!? Really speaks to the difficulty of making it in the NBA when you see how positively most of them are contributing, too.
Life is full of choices. Make good ones.
So, who figured that highest 3pt % would belong to Tate (tied with Lighty)? And who would have figured Craft would have a higher 3pt % than Cook, Thomas, Lewis, and Diebler?
I did hear Jon Diebler was done playing basketball, that they are moving back and he's taking the year off to assist his wife with the twins they are expecting.
Diebler’s FT % is nuts
if craft could have shot remotely like that in college, he'd have been a starting PG in the NBA for years

Kudos on the research this article required! Finding stats/highlights of these international leagues are VERY hard to come by, and it's good to see so many Buckeyes still playing and earning a living. Ron Lewis! Othella Hunter! Keep grindin!
Great update!!! Miss Craft.....has he really been gone that long?
McLoving out of basketball? He had so much promise after his freshman year, but went south.
TG Proud Buckeye alumnus.
He's in the D League. Click on the link to the NBA/D League article in the opening paragraph.
Thank you for such highly research led and detailed article! Now who the crap is Anthony Lee? Treg Lee’s son? Followed Bucks b-ball since early 90’s and don’t remember him at all.
Grad transfer from Temple that played one season for the Buckeyes a few years ago. Definitely was a major bust, partly because of injuries, partly because his solid stats from Temple did not translate to the Big 10.
I play, coach stays. He goes, I go.
Thanks for that. Was in the same boat... I can remember most players with significant minutes... but that name just drew a complete blank.
Amazing amount of research went into this. Much appreciated! There are so many European leagues, is there any ranking of them as to their quality of play level?
Send the Earth Reverberating
how many leagues are there ??
Thank you immensely for this. This is way too much to keep up with during the season.
There used to be a website that I followed that kept up with this, but I think they stopped updating it a few years ago.
I sincerely appreciate the effort this took! Thanks!
What ever happened to LaQuinton Ross. I think that was his name.
I had no clue either...so I looked it up (here’s the Wikipedia page).
Appears that he was on NBA G League Memphis Hustle this year, affiliated with the Grizzlies. But he started in Italy, I think, before signing to G league.
If the G League website is to be believed, then it shows Ross scoring 5.1 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 0.8 assists per game. But then it shows Ross as only playing in two games this past season and 4.0 points per game. Regardless, it doens’t look like he’s lighting it up.
Craft... 63.8% from the line?
Tate over 45% from 3? Where did that come from?
Colin, this piece was fantastic - I know how hard it was to dig all of the vids up!
Any idea if Sam Thompson still plays ball at all?
One man's trash, is another man's treasure
Sam Thompson is listed in the current roster for the Greensboro Swarm of the G League. Here’s his G League link. He also played in Hungary, I believe, prior to this stop, and also with the Grand Rapids Drive and Delaware 87ers.
Of all the former Bucks listed here, I always thought Ron Lewis was the most overlooked by the NBA. He had a complete offensive game and good enough athleticism to defend at that level. Craft's lock down defensive ability could have given him a NBA opportunity but at his size, being a good 3pt shooter is a pre requisite to make it in the association. Like some of the other posters, I am curious about the quality level of play in that Chinese league that Sullinger is dominating
This article is glorious, thank you for your time and effort!
