If his nickname isn't "Mick" it should be! Welcome Mr. Laroe, show us what you've got.
I'd rather be an hour early than a minute late.
From Trey Leroux to Jagger LaRoe, it’s raining LaMen in Columbus!

So when he gets here, will he say, Start me up?

Actually he is going to say "Please to meet you, hope you guess my name!"
I saw a UFO once.......it told me to have a goodyear!
Someone will have to remind him, you can't always get what you want
^ best post ever ^
To which Laroe answered, "Time is on my side."
I don't give a damn for the whole state of Xichigan.
I heard he was born in a crossfire hurricane.
I wonder if we will hire a female staffer named Angie?

Jagger LaRoe....feels like Johnny Utah meets Gambit.
A lion sleeps in every man, dissatisfaction moves him, complacency keeps him asleep.
Weird, not a single qb on the roster was recruited.
I don't buy one goddam drop of gas in the state of Michigan!
They were all recruited...just not by us...(except maybe Fields)
Sounds like influence of Yurcich. I'd be curious to know if he entered the portal and had no takers. This could become a common outcome. I'll create a new acronym: NSFA - No Scholarship Free Agent.
Winning is a habit. Unfortunately, so is losing.
Late entries into the portal could run into a numbers issue on the available scholarships in a given year. In many cases they may end up looking at schools that lost other players to transfer as that may be the only scholarship openings. But even then most programs have a pretty good idea of who they think will be transferring and have already overbooked expecting those departures.
Realize that your highlight video shows your best stuff, but this kid was dropping dimes. Don't be surprised if he puts himself into the back-up role before it's all said and done. I see a scholarship for him after year one.
Doubt that happens unless he lights it up. 2020 and 2021 commit and we will get a second QB in ‘21. We will save the scholarship for recruiter players unless we only have like 80 on scholarship.
Kevin Woidke earned a scholarship. Why not this kid?
Unless he lights it up, not happening.
Don't forget OSU has another preferred walk-on QB.
Or maybe Jagger bombs?
My aim, then, is to whip the Weasels, to humble their pride, to follow them to their inmost recesses, and make them fear and dread us. Fear is the beginning of wisdom. - William Tecumseh Sherman (with apologies)
Most of the time preferred walk-ons earn a scholarship going into their Junior year. If offered a scholarship after year one, that scholarship would count against the previous year so getting one as a red-shirt Frosh is probably not in the cards.
Back-up?? Maybe. Your doing something right if your completing almost 70% of you throws and only have 5 picks to 33 TDs. Might be a diamond in the ruff like I fell that JP Andrade is.
There’s a reason he didn’t have offers out of HS and walked on at A&m
How about that QB room now?
Congratulations to Jagger LaRoe.

welcome. all is good.
I mentioned this in the forum topic so,
Could it be these guys are looking to parlay time with Coach Day into future coaching opportunities? Day is known a great QB coach.
Man….. this football team.-Jeff Okudah
I certainly think you're on to something there.
Get him in the program and let Ryan Day work on him and see if there is anything there that could make him a scholly player eventually.
Urban Meyer left an incredible legacy. 12/4/18 Ryan Day begins his.
So we have a Gunnar and Jagger. Our QBs sound like callsigns of fighter pilots. I love it.

Obviously the film is a limited and flattering sample, but geez, those were dimes he was dropping. Why was this kid not more widely recruited?
Seems they have some much needed depth now.
Stay golden, Ponyboy.
Must not of gotten any Satisfaction at A&M?
He said....."get me out of A&M and Gimme Shelter at Ohio State" !!
Kid has got it down already. Here’s a quote from TheOzone,
“It’s my privilege to join a team and program with the richest heritage in college football, THE Ohio State University Buckeyes,” LaRoe wrote.
This kid totally gets it. Ohio State is steeped in tradition and he knows to say "THE Ohio State University" and "Buckeye Nation".
Welcome to the family, Jagger. Enjoy the Skull Session and all of the fan and community support.
You mean, in contrast to a young QB who once called us “the University of Ohio State” ?
Another QB? Should we expect one more? 3 pairs and one spare...

Round on the ends and "HI" in the middle. O-HI-O.
6 QB's deep...….looks like we are good here.
Enjoying daily the back to back ttun beatdowns.
The depth in the QB room is really back, now. That's not to say that the season isn't in deep trouble if something happens to Fields, but at least now there are options if we enter a 2014-type of scenario with multiple QBs going down.
If nothing else, Jagger LaRoe is a 1st team Best Names All-American. Welcome aboard!
Class of 2010.
Would someone in the know with time on their hands please elaborate the pros/cons of being a "preferred walk-on" as compared to a walk-on or an average student or a scholarship athlete?
Took less time to Google the answer than type this response, but here it goes (from Wikipedia):
"In some instances, a college coach or recruiter may designate an athlete as a "preferred walk-on" during the scouting process. In this situation, the athlete is assured a spot on the team, but the coach is unable or unwilling to offer a scholarship."
Welcome to The Ohio State University. It seems like Jagger LaRoe definitely understands Ohio State football tradition.

And unsullied and how fast the wall was rebuilt and how fast the seven leaders got there!! Haha
Who was there to build the wall and what was the hurry?
Reserve your seat on the LaRoe Canoe, space is limited.
Welcome aboard, I believe this kid may never see the field here. Still, always nice to have another guy though.
Was a walk-on at A&M, and had zero D1 offers as far as I am aware.
He did have a solid Sr year in HS but as a JR was not very strong throwing for less than 1500 yards with 9 TDs and 6 INTs
He did play a little in A&Ms Spring Game this year but didn't do much more than had off a bunch going 3 of 5 for 29 yards and no rushing attempts
I will take the other viewpoint JPF.
What I saw in the Hudl highlight clip was a lot of positives. So I think the talent is there - it becomes the charge of our coaches to bring it out.
When Jagger threw off his back foot only, he tended to underthrow the receiver. But it looked like it was a defense optional game, so he got away with it. However, when Jagger really stepped into the throw and drove the ball - it was spot on in stride for the TD. There is even a play where LaRoe takes a shot to the chest a millisecond after delivering a strike to an open receiver for the TD.
What I am trying to say - is don't sleep on this kid.
Jp is spot on. Highlight films can be very deceiving. It shows all good and no bad.
Completely agree, bucks19. The game is certainly not played by highlight clips alone. But the play that certainly impressed me more than anything was Jagger getting DRILLED just as he steps into a throw and delivers a TD strike.
But I will give that to you as well. It was 1 play in 1 game - can it be replicated over and over? TBD. Only fair way is to let them sort it out at practice.
Well now. This is an interesting surprise. Glad to see us having more choices. Welcome young man. Work exceptionally hard and be your best. You never know what the future has planned. We're fiercely loyal fans who want to see you and all of your teammates succeed. Welcome to the family.
So what the heck is going on in Texas that Tom Herman can't land any of these Texas boys?
If you die before you die, then you won't die when you die.
I can't answer your question directly, but I will hazard a guess and state that ol Tommy Herman knows what he is doing. I expect Texas will win the Big 12 this year.
And celebrate in a gentleman's club, no doubt.
Are we sure he does this? I'm not certain that a man with a wife like his would spend much time looking at other nekkid ladies.
He did it at least once, in Florida with Zach Smith.
I'm sure this is going to come off as a stupid reply. However, what's to say that Herman actually wanted these Tejas Boys?
“The true soldier fights not because he Hates what is front of him, but because he loves whats behind him” - Urban Meyer
You guys are probably right. I was just expecting more of a stronghold on Texas and more success early one.
Maybe he didn’t go after the kid either in high school or now? He is a non-scholarship to walk on
Welcome aboard Jagger! Damn glad to have you...
15-1 is SWEET!
Damn another one?!.........welcome aboard..........

Welcome, Jagger LaRoe!
Chugs, Van-man, Guns, and The JPA are impressed with your name game, as am I. Welcome, Jags.
Has the qb room gone from famine to feast? Surely hope so!!!
Beat everyone, in every sport, all the time!!!
Amazing watching that film that he didn't have any offers. Considering has 3 other QB's that were in the 40's and 50's per 247, I was surprised since this guy seemed fairly comparable. Well good luck to him, more depth and he can look at transferring for a scholarship at some point if he isn't going to get one at OSU with his accuracy and excellent coaching he is going to get here.
