I’m hoping McCord is texting Fleming daily to join the good guys. Fleming is a game changer on the field and will also be in recruiting as well.
Send the Earth Reverberating
Being from Lancaster, PA, this brings a smile to my face.
Need to beat them on the field again in late November to show that our program is still the top dog in the B1G in the new Day era - don’t want Franklin getting in the ears of these kids after building these strong relationships.
Here's an Altoona Buckeye originally from Erie who's also smiling. Come on down, Coach Day!
Hell with the lid off
Would love nothing more than to land the other 3 studs on that list. I think we are also recruiting McCord and Harrison’s teammate, Jeremiah Trotter Jr.
Fields of Dreams
I always thought the staff played Pittsburgh Brown out of position. He never looked natural at safety but I remember watching the 2009 Army All American game and he looked really good at WR while playing offense and defense that day. https://youtu.be/tYUoSBgXgWw
Franklin isn’t going away. Neither is PSU. They have become our rival both on and off the field.
I agree. I think PSU has some things going for it that OSU, Clemson and UGA don’t. Just because we’re not hearing about them doesn’t mean they’re out of the picture. It could be he has all the information he needs on them and he’s focusing on getting to know other schools better. He seems to be extremely level headed and isn’t inclined to make his decision based on emotion. Still, he’s been raised by a single mom and from what I have read outside 11W, they are very close. If all things end up being equal in his mind, PSU’s proximity cannot be discounted.

And you’re an ass!
Disagree that Dorian Bell and Pitt Brown had dissapointing careers @TOSU. Thought Bell had a pretty good senior year. And I won't tell you why "Pitt" Brown is a buckeye legend and should never have to pay for a drink in Ohio for his entire life. You are not a real buckeye if you don't why "Pitt" Brown is a legend in Cbus.
Flemming's has been crystal balled to OSU 13of13 CB's, very exciting having a NFL vet coaching our wr's. The only problem is we have worry about Day being a sought after commodity for NFL teams, same for our new DC and of course Coach Hartline. Day will break the bank in the NFL.
MICHIGAN STILL SUCKS
Uh, Dorian Bell lasted two seasons in Columbus: he was redshirted as a freshman and played some as a redshirt freshman but was suspended due to violating school's drug and alcohol abuse policy for the third time, and transferred to Duquesne. In 2014. BTN named him of the B1G's biggest recruiting busts over the previous 10 years. While he played well at Duquesne--he was named a FCS All-American--suggesting he had anything less than a disappointing OSU career for the two years he spent in Columbus is ridiculous.
Who was the DB the steelers drafted? He hung on maybe 1.5 seasons? Maybe im confusing him with the LB Bell?
My bad, i thought we were talking about Doran Grant. Confused him for Bell.
Catawissa, Pennsylvania is about 90 minutes from State College and Fleming has made countless trips to Penn State where his girlfriend is a member of the track and field team.
I've seen a few mentions where that Fleming's girlfriend goes to PSU but I think this is the first I've read that she's on the women's T&F team. Because that's new information to me, I checked their T&F and C-X rosters. The closest hometown for a freshman/sophomore on is 30 minutes from Catawissa and she throws the discus and has legs like a linebacker's. After her, the next closest comes from a town an hour's drive away from Catawissa. So there are several options: she's the discus thrower, she's a walk-on, they were already in a long distance relationship with even prior to her going to PSU, or she's not on the T&F team (but could play another sport).
PSU and OSU are pretty much the same in many ways. They are both the cock of the walk for kids growing up and their dream school. Pitt use to spoil the party some for PSU but have fallen off the map a little. We are lucky in Ohio other than Cincinnati if they start to make a mark. PSU fans are starting to see Pumpkin Heads true colors and I have followed him very closely and his antics. First off he is a very good recruiter but a snake salesman another he is not a very good coach on game day. I have watched replays of PSU vs OSU games dozens of times and this is what I noticed. At the start of the games and when they are ahead he is jumping around leading the charge for his team. When things are close and the team needs more of that he stops folds his arms and stares at the score board. Lastly other than listening what the coach's send down he has no need for a head set because he injects nothing. I think the PSU thing is going to fall like a deck of cards since his main friends and coach's have moved on. The Vest experienced the same problem once the original staff moved on both could not replace coach's very well. His after game pressers speak for themselves. To prove my point watch the 1st qt. and last qt. of our game in 2017 he quit.
He’s two plays away the last two years from beating our ass too.
I will give you last year but we beat our selves in 2016 and nearly again in 17 shouldn't of been close that year.
Shouldn’t have. Christ
