I don't understand why I get so excited about a 3 star that is a freak athlete. I guess it's because they can become elite with our coaching staff.
Fear the chunky Monkey
I think it's good to have a few of those guys in each class. You get the hungry kids who want to prove themselves and will stick around longer and won't feel shunned if they get a RS.
"Because I couldn't go for three."
I hoping a kid like Alex Williams come out of nowhere and shocks the Big ten. He's that type of kid. Humble and a grinder that Coach Johnson could mold into an all American. He's just an example of the type of young man you are speaking of.
BigBuckeye says Go Bucks
There's so much untapped potential with those kids. They don't even know yet what they're really capable of. The right coaches find all the good shit within and bring it forward.
Urban Meyer left an incredible legacy. 12/4/18 Ryan Day begins his.
Well the O line talent is certainly there. It's up to Coach Stud to develop it. It's all on him now.
A guy named Darron Lee came through and ever since then we’ve been pretty open to taking a flyer on the freak athletes
If Ann Arbor is a whore, what's Harbaugh for going back to her?
Darron Lee was a gem for sure. Fickell is good at seeing potential and development. I questioned his schemes from time to time but he's always been a strong evaluator of talent and one helluva recruiter.
I think coaches get weary of these freak athletes because they don't exactly fit into a set position. I think it's wise to recruit athletic guys and trust your coaching staff to put them into the best situation to succeed.
Wouldn’t shock me if Harry Miller cracks the rotation this season (could slide over to guard). Coaching staff raves about his ability.
Yeah, he could be a valuable depth guy at guard this year. Everyone has the transfer from Rutgers pencilled in to a guard spot but he hasn't even enrolled yet. I hope Jackson works out don't get me wrong, I'm just thinking cautiously. Gavin Cupp, he's solid but not impressive so why not Harry Miller?
How about that TE from Tennessee? Don't see a real clear path for him to get playing time this year, although I can't wait to see him down the line.
Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
Hamilton??? Yeah I can't imagine us getting to. 4th string TE this year. Ruckert, Ferell, Hausman & Berry (can be DE or TE). Good pick, I can't see him getting on the field.
How about short yardage fullback?
Winning is a habit. Unfortunately, so is losing.
The BYU SOP is play as a freshman, go on the mission, redshirt to recover physically, and play out your eligibility.
It's fun watching players becoming great athletes.
