Is it safe to assume that Clifford is the brother of PSU QB Sean Clifford, who also went to St. X?

The little tid bit on Paris Johnson was good to read. I hadn’t heard of Clifford before. It will be interesting to see how he does at FNL.

I continue to have a nagging negative feeling that our recruiting on the d side of the ball is going to take a big step back, but I continue to hope that I'm very wrong
Mickens was a long shot, but it sure would be nice to get a boom soon instead of watching these guys commit elsewhere.....
Friday should be a good day and a good start for defensive recruiting.
Hopefully Mickens' dad had a hard conversation with Dabo about the steroid cloud hanging over the program.
Urban's Buckeyes couldn't get past Clemson. Hopefully someday soon, Ryan Day will get his chance to reverse this. The old adage, "to be the best, you have to beat the best", definitely applies here. They probably wield those two wins like a club in recruiting. Until we win they will have the high ground in some of these close recruiting calls.....'crap, another 4 star Buck target to Clemson!' is getting old.
Enjoy the wins over *ichigan, ....I still remember the dark days of the 1990's....
I know we had Hartline, but I was thinking of Doug Donley watching the Clifford tape. White Lightning!!

I did think of him after my time expired to edit. Good call.
Clemson again. Ugh. I get Tuscaloosa, AL, but I don’t get Clemson, SC. It’s just weird. Guess I will never understand.
Have you actually been to Clemson? It's actually pretty nice there.
Yep. Clemson is actually quite nice and the school is much better than Alabama academically. It’s ranked pretty similarly to Ohio State.
"You can never pay back, but you can always pay forward."
Clemson is close but Ohio State is ranked higher by all five of the major college ratings services.
We toured Clemson when my daughter was looking at colleges. The campus is beautiful, and there's a big lake nearby for water sports/activities. A big factor for some kids is that it's a college town -- while Ohio State is in the middle of a large urban area. (And let's not forget better weather). Some kids prefer the college town charm, and if you can play for a national title contender too, that's a bonus.
We also attended an early season game while we were there. The tailgating is phenomenal, and they actually have in-out privileges, meaning you can leave the stadium go back out to your tailgate and come back in after halftime. The stadium doesn't seem that big -- just eyeballing it you would think it held about 35,000 and looks more like a Div II stadium because there is no upper deck, but is obviously way bigger than that.
One really goofy thing is that the locker room is at one end of the field and the rock they touch and hill they run down is at the other. This means the entire team comes out of the locker room outside the stadium, gets on several big tour buses (in full football gear of course), rides around the outside of the stadium, gets off the bus on the other side and then runs down the hill. Hey fellas, maybe you should put the locker room on the same end as the players entrance?
True story: I served ribs to John Cooper.
Agree 100%. It is all about the show on tour. Clemson/Dabo have done an amazing job at making the 'Clemson experience' a game-changer, not to mention how aesthetically pleasing they have made the facilities.

I thought that Harbaugh offered him?

Sloooooooww time for recruiting, sheesh. Legend better kick things off soon and let’s get this thing rolling.
Donley is a good comparison but I thought A.Gonzalez but a tad slower. Flat out speed doesn't mean as much as football speed look at Hill for a example. I too like what he said about P. Johnson. Dee side of the ball was mentioned the other day on another site and this made sense. We have a entire new staff more or less and kids are going to take a wait and see what shakes out. Not only that I understand they are looking for only a couple lb's and d line is more than pretty stacked 9 deep and many kids won't want to wait their turn. Other than that anyone noticed that huge puddle on a TURF field. Someone did a poor job in laying that one out. fwiw
4.4s at 6'2 190-that's fast. That's plenty fast.
Also, Fred Davis just committed to Dabo-land.
Clifford has a pretty nice video package. Showing lots of highlights of him blocking downfield is a pretty smart idea as well. Willing to do the 'dirty' work.
