RDS keeps making me say "Damn", even after being told he will be crippled for life. The Basketbucks are solid. The ifomercial known as the draft is almost here.
I hate it when I agree with Saban on stuff. It makes me feel dirty. But in this case he's right. When it comes to guys leaving early, I have never understood it unless they were a lock to go in the first round. I also understand that sometimes the financial situation necessitates taking the risk. But overall there are way too many guys leaving earlier than they should across college football.
That michigan stuff is funny. The amount their fans have talked about the football program since november, I wasn't even sure they were having a team this year. Them having a good basketball season had a little to do with it but I have not heard one single word from the fan base about spring football this year. I've said it before, but that ass whooping broke them.
I’ve always expected Charbonnet to start because I think he’s got that kind of talent but I had no idea they were that thin at RB. We’ve heard of AIRBHG (Angry Iowa Running Back Hating God for those who aren’t familiar, an acronym coined by Hawkeye fans about 15 years ago when Iowa’s RB stable was so decimated by injuries, they were starting a walk-on) so maybe now He hates Michigan like everyone else. AMRBHG, anyone?

Injuries are always part of the game, but UM has issues that go way beyond lack of depth at running back.
True. Their top issue is lack of depth at Head Coach.

They shoulda started grooming their backup Head Coach a few seasons ago.

My friend who lives up north and is a fan of that team tells me Evans plagiarized a paper.
Shitigan is just a steaming pile of crap. I understand changing an offense can be somewhat difficult, but the difficulties they are having run much deeper than recruiting. The Egomaniacle coach they have just keeps wreckin it up there!! To be honest, I am a little sad, because competitively, they won't stand a chance if they keep this up!
And yet Vegas has them favored in every game. Must be because Shea Butter will throw for 400 yards a game.
Justice delayed is justice denied....#FTP
Wow with Hill, Victor, Mack, Olave, and Ruckert. I forgot about Jaylen Harris (6-5, 215 lbs with a 4.5 40!).
Gonna be a great year!!!!!
But can he block?...
You know he wont see the field unless he can!
That C. auris link is a frightening story. Resistant fungi that is killing people? And one of the places with the most reported cases is here in Chicago? Scary as hell.
When I saw mention of D-Lo, I thought that D-Lo Brown made a surprise comeback at Wrestlemania last night. Then I realized it was D Russell instead, who is a much better athlete.
"Way too early" isn't even enough of an apt description for coming up with a ranking for next year when this year is still happening. Hold your horses there DeCourcy. I for one would like to watch Virginia v Texas Tech before worrying about 2019-20.

It’s still way too early for me to think about today, much less next season.
D-Lo's head looks like he's wearing a tarantula.
Not a good look given today's styles.
OH-IO living BACK IN COLUMBUS after 32 years in the ATL.
I think he looks great. And that’s coming from an old white former farm boy with graying hair, well, at least what’s left of it.

How would you style his hair?
IMO, mini-dreads/breads are a much better look than the stupid shaggy-fades that are in vogue these days.
Either way, the Lakers screwed up by shipping off DAR and rolling the dice on the Ball clan.
What happened with Chris Evans? I missed that. Well, now they uptempo experiment is a necessity since they can’t pound the ball anyway.

Did you already know that or did you have to look it up?
How do you get several years into a program and not know how to game the system quasi-legally? The essence of being a Michigan Man is knowing how to game the system arrogantly and mostly legally. Profound disappointment.
Guess he ends up transferring to North Carolina...
Plagiarized a paper is what I heard from a guy I know who is a fan if that team. Could be just a rumor
Spring Game of Thrones week.
Are they playing for the Iron Horseshoe?
So spring game= "Cleganebowl"?

A honorable death I'll take.
Lord, if all is right in the world, please ensure that a former Tight end Ben VanSumeren is starting for UM at running back in November vs. the Buckeyes.
Addendum, the odd VanSomething name doesn't get added to the Biakabatuka list.
Regarding the poacher link: #karma at its best.
That’s not even the first time a poacher has been eaten by lions.
I read that story yesterday and wondered if it might make it to the links today. I’ve seen footage of lions tugging on an antelope carcass and the thought of a pride tearing a human body apart is chilling. A skull and a pair of pants. With due respect to his family, they should be mounted on a pole with a sign that says, “Beware ye who enter illegally. You have been warned.”
I hope he wore his brown pants.
They're red now.
15-1 is SWEET!
Those lions were probably thinking something along the lines of these crocs...

It will be nice to see Jaylen Harris take that next step forward. It’s hard to believe he’s a Junior already.
Fields of Dreams
It is hard to believe that Harris is a Jr, although I’d heard he was red shirted last year, which would make him a RS So.
Equally, it’s something to think that both Mack & Victor are true SRs already.
Harris and senior Binjimen Victor are now the top two players at the X for the Buckeyes, but it will still require consistency on Harris’ part to stay there.
Couldn't we say the same thing about Victor?
I had a very similar thought, Iowa. If the Buckeyes can see the Penn State game Victor, that will be a huge boost.
Well. Best of luck to y'all. We'll see you in November.
Well. Best of luck to y'all. We'll see you in November, bitches.
When I die, sprinkle my ashes over the 70's
Glad to see Harris making a move up in the roster. Hope to see Olave in some form as well.
Can't wait to see the boys up north in November- :)
Enjoying daily the back to back ttun beatdowns.

Anyone tryout at running back?
Well, members of their Softball team and award winning Cheerleading Squad were asked to suit up and attend.
Apparently scUM fans don’t take the Vegas spread seriously either.
The Masters, and OSU Spring Game, - it's going to be a good week!
Crazy that 56 yrs ago today won my 1st @TheMasters at age 23! Battled pouring rain & standing water in 3rd rd. At 18, scoreboard had lots of 1s. Being red-green colorblind, I asked caddie Willie Peterson how many of the 1s were red (under par). He said, "Just you boss! Just you!" pic.twitter.com/A8Gou4ofqT

Exactly! MLB too!
I co know if it's just me, or if anyone else feels this way, but I just have this guy feeling that coach Day is going to outshine Urban and take this program to a whole nother level..
1. While I hope a seemingly incondite offense unravels up north, the defense must spend a great deal of preparation for a triple option offense. I remember the lessons of Navy and Virginia Tech all too well. I'll still take Army on the money line.
2. The fungus article is frightening and a warning to stay out of hospitals if possible, even as a visitor.
3. Forecast for Saturday is 55, partly cloudy, a sell out of 76,000, and no one touching a QB under threat of banishment to the transfer portal.
Winning is a habit. Unfortunately, so is losing.
The fungus and virtually ever other "special" disease or condition such as this typically affects only those with significantly weakened immune systems. Of course that's usually why you are in the hospital unless it's for a routine procedure. As healthy beings we are exposed to millions of bacteria, viruses, fungi, etc. on a daily basis and they are of no concern, many even needed for us to survive, but in unique circumstances they can go postal on our immune systems. I've read studies that indicate that somewhere between 40-60% of all hospital stays result in an infection that was spread AT THE HOSPITAL.
Mold is nothing more than a mild irritant to the masses, completely overblown and oversold as a hazard except in a few circumstances where you marry extremely sensitive persons to heavy growth. It's always a combination of being the wrong person at the wrong place at the wrong time and unless you are the poor soul that happens to lose that lottery, not significant in terms of herd health.
That of course does not apply to the common ailments that have plagued(get it) mankind for that last 6000-250,000 years, depending upon your belief system.
100% agreement on my part.
The primary driver for hospitals going from a two bed room to a single bed in an in-patient ward is reducing the risk of HAI’s, healthcare associated infections.
Let's cut Michigan a break. We know they are no longer a football school. They are not even a basketball school anymore. I did hear they won a natty in cheerleading last week. There you have it; they are a cheerleading school now. Let's take it easy on them come November.
In the poll era (since 1936), OSU is by far the class of the B1G:
National Titles: OSU 8, UM 3
B1G Titles: OSU 34, UM 27
Head-to-head: OSU 43, UM 36
Major Bowls (New Year's Six): OSU 20-14, UM 10-16
I guess if they can somehow cheer for that school. They deserve something...a blue ribbon maybe.
Scum will still be ranked in top ten preseason poll, probably ahead of us because we have a new head coach and quarterback and things are "stable" up north with Patterson and Harbaugh
Great take, in my opinion.
"Really, Saban is just all for the scenario he believes helps his team the most, and I'm positive that's where most fans' hearts are as well. This was confirmed when the comments under Damon Arnette's decision to return were uh... quite a bit different than those under Jalin Marshall and Noah Brown's draft declarations."
Hope Arnette has a great year, and goes on to do many positive things for his family and community down the road.
Saban is not wrong. Leaving early to be drafted in rounds 5-7 is not usually a good plan. That said, there are circumstances beyond what we can all see on the surface.
Especially since most are taking a pay cut when they leave...
"No. 15 in the country really equates to like #5. How soon can you buy tickets to the Final Four?"
Kevin, No. 5 in the country puts you out of the tourney in the Elite 8.
Bet that the Lakers' front office is thrilled that they dumped D'Angelo for Lonzo...
It was the means by which to get rid of Timofey Mozgov's high salary. So both of them for a 1st Round pick NJ had the rights to... And they landed Kuzma with that pick and freed up money to sign Da King. Hated to see him go... But happy to have Mozgov's high salary off the books.
And I assume less happy to have them miss the playoffs?
TTUN won't need a competent running back now that they are going to operate the spread offense. Patterson is going to light it up and win the September Heisman.
Saban is 100% correct regarding kids leaving early. Many don't even end up getting drafted not to mention not completing their degree and often unnecessarily hurting their team as well.
Has the betting line moved at all for The Game? If not bet the dann rent! UM is a heaping pile until proven otherwise.
"I love football. I think it is most wonderful game in world and I despise to lose."

Exciting to see that someone has the Basketball team in the top 15 for next year. The NCAA tournament has been a great reminder of what a great job Holtmann has done these past two years. To be successful, a college team must typically have the following three things: !) a point guard who can break down the opponent's defense 2) guys who can consistently knock down threes 3) rim protection to control the lane This year's NCAA tournament has bore that out once again. Holtmann has managed to win for two seasons with none of these three things thus far and and instead maximized the things he did have on the team. That has taken great coaching. It will be interesting to see what he can do with two true point guards on the roster next year. I also expect the team's three point shooting to improve significanlty with the point guards' ability to get the spot up shooters clean looks. The young players such as Washington and Ahrns also should develop as more consistent three point threats next year as well. For rim protection, I would really like to see the Buckeyes land Diallo. He may have a limited role his first season. However having a quick 7 footer who can run the floor and has a 7'6" wingspan to patrol the lane could take the team to the next level.
Big ups for the Labrador reference!
As long as Chris olave continues his development, that WR Group should be downright scary to opposing defenses
Urban Meyer left an incredible legacy. 12/4/18 Ryan Day begins his.
Awesome to see some positive news on Jaylen Harris! I think youre going to see the production from him that most fans think theyll be seeing from Wilson (not a shot just not his time). I'm always more interested in the players that we havent seen for a few years who will be making an impact this year over the newbies who are a year or two or three away from contributing..
We have gotten zero production from the wideout class from 3 years ago. Grimes quit right away, Harris has done nothing after two years and Gardiner will play about as much as me. So it will be interesting to see if this is Harris's time or is he going to get passed up by 2nd and 1st year players.
I don't think it's completely fair to say Grimes "quit" to be closer to his apparently terminally ill mother, but I do get your point.
"apparently" being the key word here?
I only say "apparently" because she recovered and her cancer is in remission, thank god. I just meant that all signs pointed to her being terminally ill, but she miraculously beat it. I'm not at all suggesting that wasn't the reason he transferred or that his mother wasn't actually ill and given an extremely pessimistic prognosis.
I remember when we were saying that about mcclaurin and Dixon (you could also throw Campbell in there). We'll see...
