Harrison is not a good fit. His brother lied to navy about needing tommy john. His brother isn’t even on the depth chart because of the broken relationship. Osu doesn’t need this individual they need team players.
Harrison may not be his brother (I have no details, just responding to what you've offered here).
Let the staff perform their due diligence, shall we?
Hindsight is, and in, 2020
There are times where the worst thing that can be spread is misinformation
He is Harrison's brother, no idea about any of the other stuff. You will always see local sour-grapes type folks chiming in on situations like that-as a board 11W SHOULD appreciate local takes, while at the same time taking them w/ a grain of salt, obviously.
I understand QBs like to commit early, but a freshman who won't even be in college until 2022 demanding to be someone's top choice this early in the process strikes me as a little Tathanesque.
"It's always scotch-thirty on my island."
guessing he is not "demanding" but is saying he would like to be a top QB choice on the coaches recruit board which it how every recruit feels. probably not the best choice of words but not sure of the context of the questions asked
It’s hard for me to question the personal integrity of anyone attending one of the service academies. If the relationship has soured, why is he still on the team?

get your facts straight. his brother got tommy john surgery after his senior season and played with a torn ligament in his throwing elbow most of the season somehow - tough kid. can't speak to whether Harrison would be a good fit at OSU or not, but don't spread lies about a young kid
I hope Coach Day can change how Ohio State uses the TE position. I have said it before, if I was a top notch TE prospect, I would not even consider Ohio State. There has always been a hint at using the TE more but it never happens. It just seems like another weapon that could make defenses think about.
Wilson is the TE coach, we'll get a better look @ our offense this year after Meyer. A little surprised we haven't used them more with Wilson being the OC.
So just maybe the reason we lose to a team with great TE's and RB's is because of match ups, not necessarily just because that's their strength. Our LB play has been bad since 2014. We got lucky against Oklahoma that first game in that our LB's made their reads pre-snap and committed to the initial read after the snap. Their initial reads were right otherwise we would have died another slow death from a million little cuts by the TE's&RB's making plays on 3rd&4.we have never had a QB throw as well as Simba did last year.It was actually a shock to the system @ times. You could see the difference immediately when Dwayne came in for JT in A2 in 2017. After witnessing the positive affect his passing had on the offense, how in the world do you start JT over Dwayne after just 6 days after surgery? Would love to hear everyone's theory on how that conversation went down among the coaching staff. I mean how do you even consider starting JT after surgery?
This is one time I'd love to be wrong because if I'm right I have nothing to support Coach Meyer's reasoning behind that decision. I think the other thing Meyer reflected on was just that, his decision making process the last couple years on personnel decisions. Was he just hoping JT would all of a sudden put it all together the last 2 games? Meyer did his duty and left it to him. I even thought Meyer started JT possibly just to cover up how wrong the staff was keeping Haskin's on the bench and starting JT all year. I had no idea we even had crossing routes in our playbook till Haskin's relieved JT that day. They only game I remember JT hitting a crossing route in time was psu 2017, when down 2 scores in the 4th JT had zero hesitation because there was no pressure on him to win a game that was obviously out of reach, so he was able to just sit back and let it rip. No expectations.
MICHIGAN STILL SUCKS
Clemson seems to be doing just fine while using the TE at about the same level as tOSU-or do you suggest the Buckeyes and Tigers follow the Iowa mode of doing things?
Dudley was at Notre Dame the day before his visit to Ohio State as well, and he said Ohio State’s facilities had an advantage on Notre Dame’s as well as its intensity and its focus on football more than academics
When I die, sprinkle my ashes over the 70's
Kmp10, my reaction exactly. Wonder if he got the two mixed up?
ND is far behind in facilities to many teams but a ND booster told me they are working to improve them. We are going to use the TE more too if you get my drift. Although Day might be the answer to a change there.
Backstory on zebra logo on Fields’ shirt?
Had to laugh to myself when Taylor referred to Harrison as a “Dayton” quarterback. That would have been like referring to Josh Myers as a “Dayton” tackle. Lol...
Except, honestly, to anyone who’s not from the Dayton area, they are.
If someone is going to cover the Buckeyes/Buckeye recruiting, they had damn better well know what the GWOC, the GCL, the Ohio Capital Conference, etc, etc. are. They can prattle on all about starhanderouter camps and "relationships", but they need to be familiar w/ the lay of the local land, so to speak.
How would you define West Chester, Fairfield and Mason? All are suburbs of Cincinnati that grew as Cincinnati pushed outward so it’s not unreasonable to lump them as part of Cincinnati. Same with Centerville and Miamisburg, which is the home of the Dayton Mall, not the Miamisburg Mall. Calling Xenia a part of Dayton would be going too far.
The way we use TE's through the years surprised we waste ships on that position. Why not just develop walk on's?
Vannett and Huerman are in the League.
True and just shows they should of been used more.
We should have thrown more to Vannett at the expense of Michael Thomas,Jalin Marshall, and Zeke Elliott-that's some brilliance level strategery right there...................roll eyes...............
Roll your eyes if you want but the more targets you have the harder to cover everyone. Teams probably cheat on our TE's and have a key when they are not in the pattern and just going to block. This game isn't set up for just the players you mentioned. If that's the case just put another tackle out there if your not going to use the te.
Since Harrison attended a 2019 game, it appears that we are recruiting a time traveler. Maybe he can post how the 2019 season is going.
Let's Go Bucks
Fun fact: Harrison went to the same high school as Mr College Gameday himself Kirk Herbie.
It's a beautiful day in Columbus, Ohio... and TTUN still sucks.
Mike Nugent, A.J. Hawk, Michael Bennett, and Gordon Jump, aka Mr. Carlson on WKRP in Cincinnati, are all Centerville alums.
"...he said Ohio State’s facilities had an advantage on Notre Dame’s as well as its intensity and its focus on football more than academics..."
Is this something the kid really said? I can't imagine our coaches saying that we focus more on football and that academics are not as important.
Coaches didn't say they focus more on football than academics. Dudley said he likes that the focus is more on football than say Notre Dame, where they balance is tilted more toward academics. That was his reasoning. He also mentioned that the academics at OSU were great too.
