Dupe

*PL inside joke

I like Houston's chances this year. I can't believe the Indians let Brantley go.

Still ... Go Cleveland.  Eternally hoping this is next year.

I almost wanted to say at least bring back Lonnie if you are going to let Brantley walk. He could at least connect consistently as well but then you get news like this from 5 minutes ago which is also consistent Lonnie....

Pirates OF Chisenhall out with fractured finger

Agreed. Still... Go Cleveland and I'm ready for the season to get going.

Is this finally the year for the Indians?  Only made the World Series four times in my lifetime.  I am probably the jinx as their last championship was 12 months before I was born.

Go Redlegs!

I hate the offseason.

150 years?  It seems like only yesterday that I was watching Harry Wright roam the outfield and brother George scoop up grounders at short. Time sure flies.

Cautiously optimistic about the Reds.  They are going to score runs, but can they get enough starting pitching to contend.  Gray has to be a top of the rotation kind of guy.  If they can hang in until the trade deadline and maybe add a piece or two, it could be an exciting fall for Reds fans.

It would be nice for my Reds to not be eliminated from the race before the end of April this year.

I too am cautiously optimistic and am hoping for at least a .500 record for the first time since Dusty was the manager

Cleveland fends of a bit of a push from the Twins

Yanks and Boston battle until the last week of the year

Astros run away with the West Bos\NY and Minny in the WC

Stros win the AL

Cubs

Phils

Dodgers

Cardinals and Nats

Cubs with the NL

Astros win the thing.

Locally, I'm just looking for big steps out of the White Sox cornerstones-Yoan Moncada needs better contact, Lucas Giolito needs to prove he's a 2-3. Reynaldo Lopez needs to flirt with being an Ace, Carlos Rodon needs to be an Ace. Eloy-ROY candidate.

80 wins would be a miracle for the sox. Looking forward to a few call ups too. Dylan Cease and Nick Madrigal specifically.

Proudly dispensing unbridled arrogance since 1983.

The scary thing about the Indians is that you have a perennial threat at a Cy Young in Kluber, but they also have 2 guys who have made noise and been in the running in the past (Carrasco and Bauer) plus now they have two guys who have both had breakout years (or shown tons of potential) in Clev and Bieber. It's crazy to think that we have a guy who is considered for the award year-in and year-out, two guys who have legitimate chances of being in the top 3 and two guys who are considered dark horses in the race as well.

I am interested in the thread...  just not the sport of baseball.  I was curious if others felt the same way I do.

Baseball was the sport I played best but I can’t bare to watch it.  That’s not a problem with the sport; it’s just an opinion.

You can wear a robe then, maybe, if you get cold easily. Shouldn’t be a problem in the summer though. Maybe it’s your thermostat?

The Indians have 6 outs left to climb out of this 2-0 deficit to the Twinkies.  Can they do it?  <checks box score, sees that they are 1-22 with 9 K's>.   Nope, prolly not gonna do it.
