Great respect for a great wrestler and Buckeye. We are proud of you, Myles!
I would selfishly have preferred Martin to win the NCAA tournament to the basketball Bucks beating ISU. Myles needed to wrestle harder and smarter. Third place is a tough end to a career that started as a national champion.

I feel for the man. Here's to hoping to see him Excel on the world circuit

4 time All American, National Champion and he is still a better person then he is a wrestler. Complete class act, best of luck moving forward Myles!
Would someone with more knowledge than me like to enlighten me here? 3rd place match he gets a takedown to go up 5-2. Rides for about 15 seconds, goes out of bounds Like 1:15 left, they reset at center and he goes optional start and cuts him loose? Man, I’ve got to think you try to ride him more, wear him down, and at least try to secure the riding point before cutting him. Something goes wrong in that scramble like it almost did (what you see in the video), and it’s a 5-5 match going to OT when it had no business being that close.
I was wondering the same thing. Only explanation I have is perhaps he’s fighting through an injury. His inability to ride Dean from Cornell is ultimately what cost him the match that he never should have lost. He just didn’t look the same.

Separate comment, because I don’t want to complain on a great person and wrestler. Great career, strong skill set, class act.
The loss last night ripped my heart out. Can’t imagine how he feels. I wonder if he’s fully healthy because last couple days he hasn’t looked right. Regardless one of my all time favorite Buckeyes in any sport. Meant as much to Ohio State wrestling as Aaron Craft meant to the basketball program. Classy guy and a great role model to any young wrestler.
I am a huge fan of Myles. I couldn't sleep last night. So upset. But the sun still came up and Myles can still become as great a freestyler as I ever thought. He has a huge upside in senior freestyle.
My heart shattered for him yesterday. Class act, great young man and a credit to this university. Obviously not the ending any of us wanted or predicted, but he will do great things on the world stage after this. Thank you Myles for all you've given to Ohio State and to us as fans.

The kid is a complete class act. Always handles himself well on and off the mat. Felt so bad for him last night. Dean did absolutely nothing all match and then at the end gets Myles in a scamble. Myles kept waiting for a stalemate call, you could see it on his face. But for whatever reason the ref allowed that sequence to go on way too long and eventually Dean got the upper hand.
Myles take down and release take down and release finally caught up with him. He was only an average wrestler when having to wrestle down on the mat.
Was Dean the Champion at 184?
No, he lost to the kid from Northern Iowa.
Don’t know much about wrestling but he was fun to watch and seemed to just overpower his opponent. I am really getting into this sport now. I hope we can beat Penn St next year.
