All is forgiven Kevin - now how bout those Browns
Pretty cool move to keep RDS on the steelers PUP list.
Go get'em Cal Poppy - we are behind you !!
It's not a rivalry .............. it's a wreckoning.
Speak for yourself. My routine is a mess now. :pout:
Speaking of being better though, how 'bout them Browns, am I right? They got rid of a Michigan Man and nabbed the best receiver in the NFL in one fell swoop
The Browns got Michael Thomas?!?!
“The best executive is the one who has sense enough to pick good men to do what he wants done, and self-restraint enough to keep from meddling with them while they do it.” – Theodore Roosevelt
Congrats Browns fans, you got one of the best WRs in the league, and got rid of the only TUN player on the roster. It's a win-win. Meanwhile, my beloved Bengals are busy re-signing one of the worst OTs in the league for $7 million per year.
It's a beautiful day in Columbus, Ohio... and TTUN still sucks.
Being another Bengals fan, I agree with everything you wrote. Let me add a couple of things. First the Bengals have done a great job of signing people---they must have signed 20 assistant coaches! Cleveland should be the favorite to win the division. The Steelers will feel the sting of losing both Bell and Brown. And it seems like Baltimore is losing a veteran player almost every day. And let's not forget our battle cry that is taking the city by storm----Seize The Dey!
Who decided to make Murray's and Haskins' pass chart in Comic Sans?
Presumably Dan Gilbert.
Looks like the guy forgot to update the catchable passes and attempts (409 and 518) when creating Kyler's chart from Dwayne's.
Right? Kind of loses it's credibility with mistakes like that.
Class move by the Steeler organization. Smart move by the Browns.
Only question for me is if OBJ brings disruption and becomes a cancer in the locker room. If he just plays the game and stays focused it will be a great move by the Browns (can't believe that I just typed that)...They gave up quite a bit for him so hopefully it works out.
Yeah, I worry about Mayfield's ability to manage a huddle with OBJ in it. But who knows. Maybe Landry can keep him under control. I just see another Keshawn Johnson complaining about not getting the ball enough.
I've never been this excited about the Browns. I've been optimistic before, but never with good reason. I'm not even sure what I'm supposed to do with all this. I feel like Ricky Bobby giving his first interview right now.
Del Hall is a warrior.
I mean, the cupboard isn't bare for the NYG, they still have barkley but they need to improve that OL and now are going to have to draft a WR early. Hopefully they can get a team guy who is talented and doesn't produce the nonsense and headaches.
Urban Meyer left an incredible legacy. 12/4/18 Ryan Day begins his.
Enter McClairin 2nd round
MICHIGAN STILL SUCKS
Do you mean Tandem McClairin out of Wallahoochee State?
Or do you mean Terry McLaurin from The Ohio State University?
Maybe the Browns can put an end to this in the fall.

I saw a theory somewhere about only one Cleveland sorts team being able to be good at a time (exception, 2016). Hope this doesn't tank the Tribe...
Wow! I don't remember my hair being that curly.
nabbed the best receiver in the NFL in one fowl swoop.
Michael Thomas plays for the Saints though.
Just posting and hoping my comment isn’t deleted.
And it's "one fell swoop". A reference to a blade swinging.
Class of 2001 - classless since then.
If it's any "constellation," I was going to mention it if you didn't.
Kind of like constellation vs. consolation.
m GO BLOW!!!
You know, I even looked this idiom up before I used it incorrectly. I had fell at first, but changed it after reading the first graph of this page. I just didn't read far enough to tell me that "fell" was actually correct.
Hmm, well, don't feel bad. It's nothing to do with a blade at all. An archaic meaning of "fell" (a violent or evil), and swoop seems to have been a reference to a hawk attacking. At least per the earliest appearance in print, Shakespeare, of course.
The Browns had 7 wins from simple talent. The first snaps Mayfield took with Landry was the game when Taylor got hurt.
A tie. Overtime losses. A royal screw job spot. They were actually close to 10 wins, but were not ready to take them.
You deserve better and I will be better.
To error is human. That said....the Skully is here!
"You have to play with emotion, you can't let emotion play with you." - Ryan Day
I am optimistic about OBJ, provided he doesn’t become a distraction. Cleveland is not a prima Donna loving city. They tolerated some drama from LBJ, but Lebron is a local boy. His antics and tantrums and big personality suited NYC well. To me, verdict is still out on how it plays in Cleveland. On the field, he gives us so much talent and makes our offense way more explosive.
"Woody would have wanted it that way"
I'm also eager to see the Browns in serious contention, but also keeping the overt fanboy reaction at bay.
It all looks great on paper, let's see what happens.
That's why they play the games Hovenaut.
I wonder how Eli feels after losing one of the best receivers in the league.
He probably feels meh, but I'm sure the facial expression was priceless...
Thanks Hove. Started today off with a laugh.
The article about the "sperm donor" is interesting. Seems like a pretty decent racket that kids got going on.
The pilot with multiple identities seemed like an interesting story done by a lazy reporter. If you're going to write about a guy like that, do the damn research and get the full story.
The sperm donor seems to be drinking a little bit too much of his own kool-aid, if you know what I mean.
A lot a bit too much of his own Kool-aid.
I think he doesn't donate to sperm banks because they require a psychological evaluation.
plus, he gets to whore himself out. how do they not consider this prostitution? :P
That sperm guy is a creep. Creepiest part is starting a Facebook page for all his “kids”, them gonna be some confused young adults.
"Mayfield and Beckham are already tight; they spent part of last summer working out in California with Landry, who has been campaigning since he arrived in Cleveland for his former college teammate to join him.
When news of the agreement broke, Mayfield posted on Twitter a photo of him shaking hands with Beckham. "Movement'' was the caption.
Current Browns receivers coach Adam Henry coached both receivers at LSU."
This makes a solid statement for now the top 2 tandem receivers. Hopefully also the 'Clown signature' is fading fast(prove it on & off the field). As a Dogpound die-hard we just became the favorite to take the AFC North.
So long...Gabby Pepper-less-mess.
What is baffling about the Steelers is how they let Brown and Bell go for essentially nothing while Big Ben and Tomlin get free passes
I have quite a few friends back East that say that tomlim in getting shredded not just for letting these guys walk but for his game day coaching. At this point they are just piling on.........
I understand Tomlin getting shredded for his lack of game-day coaching but, ultimately, it isn't his call to let these guys walk (that would be the GM and owner). Although he may have given his input.
Based on the Steelers fans I know, Tomlin has been on thin ice for a while. They all love Ben though. Its gonna be an interesting year for them. I think I'd retire if I was Ben. He's getting old. Plus they lost talent this offseason and I don't see any way they improve from last years team that missed the playoffs. And all the media stuff and the rumors and former players throwing Ben under the bus. Screw all that. I'd bail now before it gets worse. Of course, I personally can't stand Ben so I'd like to see him stick around and suffer. I especially want to see Garrett, Vernon, Richardson, and Ogunjobi eat him alive. As a Browns fan, we've been everyones laughinstock for a long time. I don't want Ben to give up the crown as king of the AFC North. I want it to be taken from him and then have him beaten and dragged through the proverbial streets by the peasants he oppressed for the last 15 years.
Feels good being a " Lifer Browns Fan ". and we got rid of ex-scUm player...Go Browns...Fuck scUm Players...Go Bucks
Louisville is the top college team that is "Most Valuable" revenue-wise?
Guess hookers are a lot cheaper in KY than most other places. Maybe Kraft gave them a heads-up on where the discounts can be found (or perhaps they got a volume discount?)
Revenue doesn’t take into account costs/expenses.
I totally understand the OSU Hoops profitability thing. We clearly didn't spend as much on players as the rest of those schools, which kept our expenses down and drove profitability.

I'm also not sure Ohio State should make the Tournament even with a win in that game
NIT would give a chance for more games.
I always believe that Ohio State will roll to the NCAA Championship whenever they get in.
Reality is good to consider in the case of this season, too.
In old Ohio there's a team that's known throughout the land...
Christmas carols and DST most likely not a good idea at 9am on Monday morning.
One thing that's left out of the Haskins / Murray comparison since it was mainly based on completion percentage was the difficulty (distance) of the throws. They finished with almost identical completion percentages, but Murray threw downfield more often with 151 of his 353 charted "catchable passes" being 11+ yards (42.8% total of his attempts) compared to 147 of Haskin's 520 charted throws being 11+ yards (28.3%).
71.7% of Haskins throws were 10 yards and under, compared to 57.2% of Murray's, so I would expect him to be the more accurate QB statistically.
While I think it's fair to expect that Haskins, with a higher percentage of short passes, would have the higher completion percentage, I just think that means you need to compare apples with apples.
They actually attempted and completed a similar number of passes in the 11-19 yard range and the 20+ yard range.
Haskins (20+): 35/63 (56%)
Murray (20+): 36/60 (60%)
Haskins (11-19): 54/84 (64%)
Murray (11-19): 57/91 (63%)
Dwayne threw a LOT more passes in the <10 yard range, so yes, that does skew his overall percentage completion, but I think it's notable that at that range, Dwayne was also more accurate (82% vs 79%).
I don't know what these numbers prove, except maybe that the overall completion percentage is not actually that skewed by the higher percentage of short passes that Dwayne Haskins threw (though it is affected--I'm not arguing with the math there!). I mean, it's not as though he's a significantly worse passer at longer distances and covers that up by volume of short passes.
On a side note, it might be interesting and informative to see how these numbers changed for each of them over the course of the season. My sense is that DH got better over the season--also true for KM, or no?
You get a +1 from me.
It would be interesting to add in the ranking of the pass defenses each played against. Just a guess but I’ll bet Haskins faced higher rates defenses than Murray.
That is correct.
Ohio State opponent average pass defense ranking = 61.2 nationally
Oklahoma opponent average pass defense ranking = 83.5 nationally
If the Brownies could get Pryor back that would make a nice looking receiving corp.
1. Lots of fans getting Browns metanoia today.
2. One fowl swoop? There's no denying selection of Peppers was a turkey of a pick.
Winning is a habit. Unfortunately, so is losing.
FELL swoop! Fell!
Yeah as I replied above, I actually had that originally and changed it after looking it up to make sure I was right. I read the first sentence of this page that says, "It’s quite common for people to use the phrase “one fowl swoop” (or even “one foul swoop”) when they want to convey the idea of an event taking place all at once and very suddenly." and thought, "Oh, I guess I'm wrong." So I changed it.
I didn't read far enough to get to the part that says "In fact the phrase does have some connection to birds – but both “one fowl swoop” and “one foul swoop” are incorrect. The original phrase is actually “one fell swoop”."
You will find it used by Shakespeare in Macbeth.
Justice delayed is justice denied....#FTP
I do not remember it, but I'm sure you're right. I have not read Macbeth in many years. The only Shakespearian work I've read in the past year or so was A Midsummer Night's Dream.
we can forgive the tardiness, but this? uh-uh....you never, and I mean never, capitalize anything to do with ttun...period
...a Michigan Man
Considering that the Giants ended up with Eli Manning once upon a time because he made it known that if the Chargers drafted him, he would refuse to play for them... now that the Giants traded away their best receiver, maybe Dwayne should let it be known that he'll refuse to play for the Giants if they draft him.
I'm not saying he should do this, just that it would be kind of hilarious if he did.
Giants rebuilding with a 38 year old QB with no tread left on the tire...that has worked exactly never.
