Bowen was becoming such a reliable player and a real force on the OL during the time he was starting. Nothing but the most positive of positive vibes for him on the road back. If he can get back to form, the OL could be very very good next year if the guys have been developing as we hope they have.
Urban Meyer left an incredible legacy. 12/4/18 Ryan Day begins his.
Have held onto to high hopes in seeing Bowen return to live action, even moreso after reading this.
He deserves credit for enduring what reads to have been a very frustrating past year plus, but also to his fiance - the emotion emanates in reading Kate Lindsay's words here.
Bless them both, with the upcoming arrival and their future together...and look forward to seeing big 76 back out there soon.
WOW... After reading this article, this is the type of young man that deserves good in his life. I hope and pray he can overcome his injury and make it to the NFL. This is one special young man - especially off the football field. He will be successful in life.
What's round on the ends and high in the middle? Tell me if you know!
His fiancee said their baby boy is due in March. So I think the weight of becoming a father was also hevy on the mind and soul of Bowen the Samoan.

Definitely rooting for him! If he ends up starting and having a successful year I would anticipate him applying for a 6th year of eligibility.
Well, if he starts and has a strong year with some honors, being a new father he may need to look at the next level as soon as he can. I wish him wisdom and best wishes in deciding what is best for him and his future in and out of football.
You win with people.
Never like to see anyone get injured but his was especially tough. That’s one Big Cat.

Does he qualify for a sixth-year medical? Is 2019 his last shot or will he get another shot? Anyone know?
I believe you have to apply after your eligibility is up. So he won't know until after next season.
Stories like these touch the heart..I wish Brandon and Lindsey all the best. Go Bucks!

Glad he is finally healed. With his experiences (both on and off the field) I think he can be a huge factor in the slob lineup. You hate to see what he's gone through, but it makes me want to root for him even more. Good luck big man!
You Got Barbecue Back There!?!?!?!
Brandon has been down a long rough road. I was not aware of his depression issues. Much respect to him for working through all this, and for being available to help others.
Now, have a great spring practice and be a force on the OL this fall!
Thanks Coach Meyer. A new Day has dawned. Go Bucks, beat ttun!
The road back isn't always smooth but he's prolly grown leaps and bounds over the last couple of years. Great article and welcome back BB
Go get'em Cal Poppy - we are behind you !!
It's not a rivalry .............. it's a wreckoning.
Best of luck to Branden on the field and in life as he welcomes his little boy. Would love to see him battle back and have a great return from injuries just like Johnnie did while he was here.
Just posting and hoping my comment isn’t deleted.
Wow! Nice story Dan Hope! Bowen deserves some good graces. Hope his leg holds up and he achieves his on field goals and off field as well. He has a full plate. Who gonna eat?

Great story and would love nothing more than to see him starting at guard this fall. Injuries just suck and the mental toll can be just as bad as the physical toll. My daughter is two months into rehab on an ACL reconstruction. Physically she is ahead of schedule but there is no real way of gauging her mental state especially with lacrosse season approaching (her sport). Has to be tough watching from the sidelines when you are accustomed to not only playing but playing at a high level. Good luck.....go BUCKEYES

Fellow anxiety and depression sufferer here, Brandon. Good for you. Keep things out in the open and lean on your family and friends and all will be OK.
9-0 and a chance to go 10-0...
Back at ya, my friend.
Best wishes to Brandon on his quest to return to playing. The life lessons and growth will be with him forever. Embrace being a husband and father, some of the greatest rewards in life are in those roles.
Best wishes Brandon, Slob it up!
Here's to Brandon making a big impact this season! He is a tremendous person all around. I'm rooting for you big fella.
Fields of Dreams
Good luck to him. Really rooting for him this year.
Hopefully he has some durability to move past these setbacks. Best of luck.
I love this kid. I can relate to his personal battles and I too have Utah ties. I hope he picks up where he left off! Bringin the Slobs back!

Hey Lindsay, you found a winner! Brandon, you did too...

Glad they didn't rush him back. A broken leg on a man that size is going to take some time
Stay positive Branden!
Marry the girl, Brandon.
She's a keeper...

Have always liked this young man’s toughness. I would really like to see him at RT with his height. He has good lateral movement and footwork as I remember from 2917, ten times better than lead foot Prince. Been there with the depression and pain 24/7, due to a Doctor’s mistake over 6 years ago. Developed sepsis in my right ankle, which destroyed all the cartilage in that ankle. Even at my age 68 I was still coaching fast pitch softball, had to give it up. Still deal with the pain and depression today. Hope big #76 makes it big. Rootin for him.

Looking forward to seeing him on the field in the spring game, but more importantly, in th fall. Hang in there, big guy!
This was a long road back for Bowen. I wonder what went wrong with the surgery that his bone did not heal properly. Best wishes for the coming football in the fall, and the coming wedding to your cute fiancee in the spring.

Great article, and even better read.
