The future is very bright at Ohio State.  I love where this team is heading under Day’s direction.  Let’s win the Rose Bowl and immediately get to work on the 2019 season.

How many days till Spring Ball?   Go Bucks!

Dobbins [speaking about Day] " I just think that he looks younger". Isn't that kinda like verbalizing to your wife that your hot 25 year old neighbor has a youthful glow about her?

Struck a chord there. Back in the day, next door neighbor of my [not yet] wife was a mother/daughter. Both blonde - which I’m a yuge sucker for - and both...well let’s just say they had some good genes.

What is it like to have a 25 year old hot neighbor? How lucky that would be.

I have older gals that make my wife look good for her age. I suppose in the long run that is better. But not as fun.

“Pursue perfection, knowing it’s unattainable, but we can achieve excellence along the way”

Not verbatim, but Lombardi said something to that effect in his first address to the Packers. I’m sure Iowa will correct me, but you get the idea. And as much as he’s a jackass, and not saying I want Day to be anyone but himself, Saban operates under a similar thought process.

Dobbins’ comments about Meyer seem particularly revealing.  Apparently, Meyers’ stressed demeanor didn’t just show up on Saturdays.

I REALLY Ike his demeanor so far. Beyond what he does with Schiano and Grinch, the biggest thing out of the gates is gonna be who he hires as QB coach.  Incredibly important what his answer is gonna be with that hire. Important for the program and important to getting fields to be a Buckeye.

I propose that we never lose a game with Day as coach and then we never have to see how he responds to a loss.

That’s just one idea, though.

Dammit Eddie.  Cheers to you!

So much us made about players (like former version of I Prince)looking down after a blown assignment. Meyer has been standing before the entire team looking dejected every third play. But Somehow he just doesn’t lose games. But you can watch players look at him during games, and you gotta wonder if a more poker faced coach is better on a stressful situation.

Looking forward to the new Day.

The 2015 team has been the best of the Playoff era so far and did not make it.  So when they changed it from 4 most "deserving" to the 4 "best" last year, I guess it was 2 years too late to help OSU?

Hockey, but what about Okie’s “historic” offense as described by village idiot CFP Selection Committee Chair, Rob Mullens? Unfortunately, their historic offense was coupled with an historically bad defense. This is why we need to eliminate subjectivity in the selection process.

There will be coaching changes if not he would would just say there won't be and avoid the question over and over again. To me this is the number one thing I think about going forward. Here is my 2 cents and the perfect storm. Love to get the qb coach from Oklahoma St. the grandson hasn't had enough seasoning to step in right now. Rumblings Davis is out and Freeman first choice and the asst. coach at Pitt 2nd choice. More rumblings Schiano won't be let go unless he wants to leave for another job. Studs is not well liked by many fans but the young line did improve as the season went on. Haskins stayed clean most of the season and the run game improved too. Grinch we have to keep him. If he was a bad coach again as some say on here why does Oklahoma and others want him so bad along with the great work he did at Wazzo? Did hear he and Schiano didn't work well together? There has to be extra money on the table now that Urban is gone to pay for a qb guru but how will the co ord. titles be handled if Schiano Grinch and we get Freeman handled? I would prefer to have one guy run the defense and call the shots. No two people can agree all the time and ego's get in the way sometimes when you don't get your way and that kills chemistry jmo.

Ryan Day has the calmness and intensity to lead this team next season. We're in good hands.

Focusing on Penn State !!

It's not a rivalry .............. it's a wreckoning.

Appears to be a good hire.  How recruiting goes and coaching staff hiring / firing decisions will be vital ... of course ... Captain Obvious here.  :P

I don't see Day losing much at all next year. The schedule lines up great for a first year guy.

Go Bucks!

Except Penn State and Fichigan back to back. That’s tough.

Dont forget at Northwestern October 18. Yea yea I know we just beat them BUT the Buckeyes have gotten their butts kicked in that type of game 2 straight seasons

Let's quit trying to compare Day to UM and give him time and space to lead based on his personality, gift/talent/skill mix and leadership style and I am confident we will be happy with the outcome.

Coach Day will lose a game- someday. What I'd like to see change more than anything is the seemingly random "collapse game" loss to Iowa and Purdue, where our sudden ineptitude feeds their sudden brilliance; often never to be seen again. My guess is that Urban coaches 'tight' and imparts stress to his team, then when they are playing a less than perfect game that stress occasionally overwhelms everyone on the team. My hope is that Coach Day coaches 'loose'; that is he coaches 'to play your best ball' which leads to a win, not 'play to not lose' which has a paradoxical effect (ala in golf- "don't hit it in the water" leads to wet golf balls). If he keeps this team hungry, but loose; having fun in winning, but intense about the quality of their craft, when an upstart team threatens, they won't get 'tight' and make dumb mistakes, but get 'intense' and revert to the quality of their preparation.

Whenever Coach Day loses a game, I hope it's not a random collapse to an inferior opponent, but a closely fought contest that ended just a bit too soon and we still looked pretty much like ourselves, not a completely different team wearing Scarlet and Gray.
