Ive read some of their fan forums. They feel if they can run on us theyll beat us. They feel their secondary is good enough to cover all our receivers and that their front 7 can pressure Haskins.
Theres also a large group of them who think theyre in for a long night with it being Urban and Dwaynes last game and that if we shut their ground game down Browning isnt good enough to beat us by himself.

Sounds eerily similar to Mgoblog.

Sounds like the Bucks have a chance.

Ben Burr-Kirven leads their defense and he reminds me a lot of Luke Kuechly. We'll be hearing his name a lot on January 1st and on Sundays eventually.
See you in Indy !!
It's not a rivalry .............. it's a wreckoning.

On ESPN’s list of the 50 best players in college football this year, 3 of them were defensive players fromWashington. They are better than I realized, but I think our defense is the difference and we handle them by 14+ points.

Their back 7 is very good but if they can't get to Haskins he'll rip them apart. Their QB Browning hasn't shown up in a big game yet.
I'm curious what went on in Washington's game against the one opponent they have in common with us, Oregon State. They led 28-3 after a quarter but then only scored twice the rest of the game, which seems weak even if you've shut it down to some extent.
I foresee something like the Big Ten title game. I have a lot of respect for Petersen but it's really hard for me to see how they can keep up with our scoring for more than a few possessions.
The most "loud mouth, disrespect" poster on 11W.
I watched a few Washington games this year. Their offense is really overhyped with Browning and Gaskin being names. It really is forever ago since Browning was thought to be a 1st round quality draft pick, he's regressed tremendously. Their defense is legit, but their offense is really average at best.
Personally I think if OSU treats the game seriously the Buckeyes win by 14 at least. We saw what OSU can do when they want to against a good defense, whereas I fully expect OSU's defense to have improved with all of these bowl practices. Being the best team in the Pac12 this year is like being the classiest Michigan fan: not saying much.
I was really disappointed we drew Washington in the rose at 1st, but upon further review this is going to be a game to watch. Give me the bucks 35-21.
Ann Arbor is America's asshole.
We have the right attitude with almost everyone playing in this game except bosa. Who will also live the rest of his life having never played in a rose bowl like the rest of us losers.
Gaskin scares me against our big play prone defense.
If they chose to play a pro style game on offense, I like our Defenses chances, especially with a month to prepare. Statistics are nice, but they need to be taken with a grain of salt. If Dwayne has time to throw, there isn’t a defense in the country that is going to stop this offense, and that includes the teams in the CFP. I don’t care how many nfl prospects that secondary has, they can’t chase these WRs all night long in those mesh routes and let Dwayne pick them apart.
You're too stupid to have a good time. -Dalton
Hopefully Haskins is viewing the game as a chance to move up in the first round, and he has not turned the page mentally. Because their back 7 can ball.
I'm fired up to see our offense against their D, and see what Haskins can do with tighter windows. On the other side, it's the usual with us: stop giving up home runs. If we don't give up the 40 yard plays and 15 yard penalties with our LBs taking weird angles or our CBs holding jerseys, we should be fine.

I would've gone into this game expecting a win (I quite often go into games expecting to lose) even before Urban announced his retirement. I certainly respect Washington and their coaching staff, but I don't see an upset by them in Urban's last outing.
An upset better not happen. I will be there and I want good memories. If we were to lose, the memories will be on par with our loss to Florida in the championship game (which I was also present for).
I don't think their offensive line can hold up. Plus, I just don't think they can score enough to beat Ohio State.
Unless Ohio State implodes, I don't see the Huskies having enough to pull it off.

Agreed they scored 10 on Utah in the CCG and their 7 was on a very unusual pick 6
What's the vibe with the locals?
They admit that they have to stay with the Buckeye offense and their defense better show up. Also heard that the OSU players won't have much to play for since they didn't make the playoffs.
Guess they didn’t watch the ‘15 fiesta bowl or ‘17 cotton bowl....
I have a great customer in Seattle. Everyone there is a huge Huskies fan. Many of them went there. And it's a ridiculously beautiful campus, by the way. Anyway, to a person, these guys are terrified of their Huskies having to take the field against the Bucks. They feel a big beat down coming.
The Browns are no longer the worst franchise in all of professional sport.
The Washington offense has a similar feel to the Michigan offensive which is not necessarily an offense that has given us the most trouble.
I was wondering what was the rating of the opposing offenses that they faced this year that gave them the high ratings on defense. Wasn't Washington State, a passing team I believe, was played in the snow for all the Rose Bowl marbles? Is that correct?
I really don't see Washington blowing us out, but I could envision the possibility of OSU blowing Washington out. I'd hate to face a team that is losing their beloved head coach to health issues.
Enjoying daily the back to back ttun beatdowns.
The Huskies built their stats this season against competition from the PAC 12. IMO, their league pales in comparison to the B1G. Look at last year's bowl game vs. USC, a PAC 12 powerhouse with a storied tradition. Buckeyes were in control of USC all game. I'm looking for them to roll against Washington.
USC is basically their Michigan. No offense to USC.
concerned about their defense. their secondary is really good. hopefully we can find a "watson" and expose him.
Ohio state puts up 60+. Washington scores 30ish.
Urban gets carried off the field on his players shoulders.
We rush for 250 and pass for 5hundo
and Tate plays some in this game.....Haskins passes for over 400 yards and 5 touchdowns before exiting and Tate taking over. Tate goes 8-10 and 120 yards and runs for 50+ yards, and the offense closes out the game with 700+ yards . Meyer is carried off the field into the sunset and enters retirement.
Game set match.......2019 starts off with a bang.
Washington has the type of offense that can beat us, and they have the type of defense that can slow us down. Hopefully a month is enough time for the back 7 to learn how to cover in space.
And let’s not forget the “Petersen factor”.
He’s a great coach. He’ll have his guys ready.
Washington plays in a very weak and soft pac 12. They will man up on osu and I think this so called great secondary will be exposed.
i do not see them being able to score enough to beat osu
Stay golden, Ponyboy.
He’s had some great years. Mostly at Boise where, if I recall, their bowl opponents often got suprised.
Still, I think the Buckeyes take care of business and win this walking away: 42-24
It'll be your typical OSU / Pac12 game.... 40 something to 20 something... kinda boring and we'll probably have about 124 penalty yards in the first qtr. We'll all get tired of hearing about how until now, Washington's secondary has been one of the best in the nation by the end of the 3rd. Did I miss anything?
