The good news is that it looks like Urb will be able to be around anyway, and for probably a longer time frame. Whenever and whatever he decides will be the correct decision. He has earned that.
I love his even-keel, nonchalant demeanor, in the pocket and in front of a microphone. Just hope to see and hear that demeanor in a #7 scarlet and gray jersey next season...*sigh*

But seriously, Dwayne is a great face for the program. Calm, polite, intelligent, thoughtful.

Spot on... Dwayne is an excellent representative for tOSU. This young man has everything you look for in a starting QB for a big time program. Too damn bad we only got one season with him but I knew early on that he was going to be a top pick in the 2019 draft and I attempted to enjoy every second we had with him this season. Ryan Day would own college football if he had Haskins back next year. There's so much potential for creativity when you have an elite passer behind center. I'm wondering what the offense will look like next year without that kind of arm talent at QB.

Be great if he stayed to help Day through his first season like Baker did for riley.
Dwayne has been so motivated to improve- off season qb camps, and his childhood interest in mobile qb Troy Smith. It is slightly possible that his steep improvement at scrambling and running could lead to one more year. He could boost his stock even more with being tougher and more mobile. He may read s scouting report that is critical in this area and want to improve.
And yes, tis a pipe dream.
You're a class act Dwayne. Even if we only get to enjoy you for one season it was entirely worth it. Thank you for how much you carried this team this year.
P.S. don't follow our last Heisman winner's example and overeat at the Heisman banquet lol.
Even if we only get to enjoy you for one season it was entirely worth it.
one season plus a huge relief appearance.
I would like to see Dwayne come back for one more year to win the Heisman and a national championship. I know he will be missing out on millions early in his career, but if he can guide the Bucks to a NC, Haskins could be the number 1 pick and command even more.

If he does come back what kind of numbers will he put up then? WOW! Look at our schedule and you have to be excited. He probably sits after halftime most games though, especially since our defense HAS to get better.
Either way we will always love ya Dwayne!!! Go Buckeyes!
"You win with people" - Woody Hayes
I dunno. Next season definitely has some big challenges, especially at the end when we play PSU and TTUN back to back.
True but he plays tougher against better opponents. Those would be his quality Heisman moments. Plus I think ttun loses some defensive stars, Gary’s gone. Maybe Fabio too
Haskins gets it ............. I just wish the rest of the haters out there would "get it" as well.
Go get'em Cal Poppy - we are behind you !!
It's not a rivalry .............. it's a wreckoning.
Haters gonna hate.
Pretty solid perspective from a 21 year old young man. Dwayne is very bright.
I'm not sure I agree with putting Big Game Bob and Urban in the same sentence. Of course, Stoops has won the Big 12 Coach of the year numerous times, but that only means that conference actually allows the best Coach to win it.

Classy, Dwayne. Thank you for all YOU'VE done for Buckeye Nation this year.

I feel bad for Washington on January 1st..no..no I don't..send Urban onto retirement with a bang!
All I want for Xmas is one more season with Dwayne
Managing to plug Lincoln Riley in this fantastic and insightful article has me pushing my head through a brick wall. I’ve been told by countless people Murray’s a lock to win the Heisman and he’s the Charlie Ward of today. I’m siding with Ward as college QBs.
Dwayne is a very polished 21-22 year old QB. This guy is destined for the NFL. I am amazed how casual/leisure/confident he is on this press conference. PURE CLASS!!!!!!
Thank you Dwayne. What a year-499 yards passing in BIG Championship!!!!! God Bless You.
Too bad #7 doesnt get a chance to showcase that arm in the CFP. The nation is truly missing out on watching that arm against Bama D
First QB off the board is a big bunch of up front money. I wouldn’t know how to say no. But the things Haskins says doesn’t have me convinced.
Much respect to him. He not only respects tOSU but is very well spoken, not unlike our past QBs.
I IMO think he’s off to the NFL, but you never Know?
West Palm Buckeye
I pray the Browns do not draft him.
I just watched the Chris Carter reaction to Urbans retirement the next day. I wish Urban the best of health and happiness. He is clearly not ever coaching again.
Awesome too that Urban said the Buckeyes are stacked and he expects Day to have the Buckeyes in the next 2 of 4 NC games!!!
Thank you Urban. Best of Health and Happiness!!!!
Dwayne was definitely a highlight of this season. And a big thanks for leading the monumental beat-down of TTUN!
I wonder about these headaches.
I have battled them my whole life, too. But light causes mine. I have to wear sunglasses all the time. When I'm at a ballgame, I have to wear 2 pair. One over top of another. Prescription sunglasses with the darkest tint, plus another goggle pair over that to endure gameday sun.
He stood on the sidelines with no shades, not even a hat on the sunny games. I'd have died in the seats of an aneurysm probably without any shades at all. Hell, I have to wear them just to post on here.
