Including coaches over 15 years, Urban is the winningest coach in history in Division 1.

I think you meant highest winning percentage. “Winningest” implies he has the most wins, which he in fact does not.

Lol Navy, I bet people took your lunch money in Middle School didn't they?
That’s the best you’ve got? You wouldn’t have lasted 30 seconds in an aviation squadron.
How many night landings you got? Want a few of mine?
Nah, as former military myself, I am not disprespecting your 26 years in the US Armed Forces. Nothing but love for you. You bring credit upon yourself, and the US Navy. Thank you for your service NavyBuckeye91.
Navy Aviation. A profession defined by the color of their shoes and how they land an a/c.
Perfect three wire.
Go Air Force!
Hoping for a 0-0 tie this weekend.
I was in the USAF too. It was too easy making fun of Navy guys.....
All I know is that he's the winningest winning winner I've ever seen.
tOSUs record since Urban was hired: 85-9
Next best record in the B1G since his arrival?..
Wisconsin with a record of 69-25 ha.
Not going to lie, I’m going to miss Coach Meyer. I hope he stays at OSU in some capacity forever.
Head north till you smell it, west until you step in it
Per @PeteThamel: "Meyer is expected to spend more time with his family, which includes one grandchild and another on the way. He may consider television work and could potentially do work with the Ohio State athletic department in some capacity."

Fields of Dreams
Thanks coach Meyer. We were blessed to have you as our coach for 7 years.
Beat the Huskies!
You Got Barbecue Back There!?!?!?!
Amazing career. Congrats to Urban.
Man, I was hoping Urban would stick it to Barry McFuckwhistle and coach until he literally died (a la JoePa).
Alas, it’s not to be. Thanks for a hell of a run coach.
Love you more, JW. 1/16/71-9/23/12
Worse finish in the Big Ten east was tied for 1st. 4 stops in Columbus West and other 3 times lost tiebreakers.
When Buckeye Nation needed you the most, you gave us your best! God bless you Coach!
I'd rather be an hour early than a minute late.
IINM, Coach Meyer is the first, or one of only a few, to win National Championships in two different conferences.
He made every program he coached better than when he arrived, and he never accepted mediocrity anywhere. His success at BGSU and Utah are unparalleled by Saban, no matter how many NCs he has.
Not a complaint, but completely shocked that he only won one national title in 7 seasons. I honestly expected multiples. He brought OSU to a level a winning, especially when you look at it from day 1, that is virtually unparalleled. I appreciate what he did on the trail and on the field at OSU and wish he could have stayed longer. Ultimately, the ZS saga (including his own poor judgement), his loss of faith in the administration, and finally his health shortened what could have been a run that broke records. Hate to see it end this way, but man what a run.
"Always bear in mind that your own resolution to succeed, is more important than any other one thing." - Abraham Lincoln
Poor judgement because he trusted what his coach was telling him? Not to pull the scab off this old POS story but whatever happened to innocent before being proven guilty? Our society has completely flipped on its own ear...
Living the life! Go Buckeyes! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
CPO and CDR, USN (ret)
1942, 1954, 1957, 1961, 1968, 1970, 2002, 2014 NATIONAL CHAMPIONS!
If nothing else, ZS was a poor positional coach who caused uneeeded drama with his personal life and skipped out on/was late to recruiting visits. That should have been enough to get him fired.
ZS was only kept on the staff because of Coach Bruce. He should have been fired years ago or really never even brought to Ohio State. The Meyer loyalty factor caused that. The university sticking it to Meyer instead of gene smith was also another in a long line of bone-headed moves by the administration (firing Earle Bruce, dumping on Andy Geiger, not supporting Coach Tressel, taking legitimate gifts away from players, etc., etc., etc.) since .... Enough of my whining.
Best wishes for your future, Coach Meyer.
Meyer was aware of some of ZS’ serious performance issues, beyond the poor on-field performance and allegations, and he remained on staff. This is well documented and it showed poor judgement. It’s a shame, but loyalty can be a liability.
I hear you, but remember, his first year they went undefeated, but weren't bowl eligible. So we are talking 1 Natty in 6 years, and 3 of those years, OSU had a legitimate argument for going to the playoffs. In my opinion, he's the type of coach who just needs a chance, even in a year like this year where the team often underperformed, and a Natty is possible. I have no doubt if they were selected one of those years, likely 2015, Urban would have won another.
2015 OSU team loaded with NFL Pro Bowl Talent (Zeke, M Thomas, Joey Bosa) and many other now NFL players missed the playoffs due to a last second FG by MSU during a hurricane. That was amazing team who never got a chance because of 1 loss. 2 days ago ESPN staff was wetting their pants because Georgia wasn't in, A Georgia team who lost to LSU by 20 and blew a 14 point lead in a championship game.
Thank you Coach Meyer; you will be remembered forever and always will remain... a Buckeye.
I'm in shock that he averaged LESS than 1 loss per year in the B1G over 7 years. That doesn't even seem real.
while the league and his division got MUCH better during his tenure. B1G was a trainwreck in 2011/2012... not so today.
Meyer's presence lifted the B1G.

The worst he ever finished in the B1G was tied for 1st in division.

Going to miss you so much coach Meyer.
Man, oh man. I knew it was coming at some point, I assumed we'd get one more year with coach, but he's doing what he has to do.
Love you coach!
Urban Meyer left an incredible legacy. 12/4/18 Ryan Day begins his.
Urban to replace Corso on Gameday!!!
Meh, I'd rather have him replace Dez. Hahaha
2 Buckeyes and no Bichigan men... I like your style!
Coach takes a back seat to no one.
You win with people.
Thanks Urban - Coach, Buckeye, Legend!!
Ryan Day = head coach in waiting
Urban Meyer = OSU AD in waiting?
Urban is a legend. He made Ohio State football elite and his impact goes far beyond football.
27-3 in rivalry games. The post from Sports Source Analytics was wrong. Bowling Green's arch-rival, Toledo was 1-1 against Meyer in those seasons. Still an awesome coach and awesome legacy.
The only good thing about The Game is winning it - Urban Meyer
Number of B1G coach of the year awards for Urban?.......Defines the conference, not the coach. Urban is a winner and he retires as B1G champion.
