Joe Burrow's rookie season has come to an early conclusion.

During the third quarter of the Cincinnati Bengals' game against the Washington Football team, the former LSU and Ohio State quarterback took a hit to his left knee and had to be carted off the field.

About an hour after he was carted off the field, Burrow confirmed in a tweet that he is out for the season, but he's already looking forward to 2021.

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the injury is believed to be a torn ACL.

Following the injury, Burrow received support from players from both teams, including his former Ohio State teammates who now play for Washington: Chase Young, Dwayne Haskins and Terry McLaurin.
