Georgia and Richt "mutually agreed" to go separate ways, according to Dan Wolken of USA TODAY:
The college football coaching carousel is officially in full swing, with the regular season finished for the bulk of the nation. Georgia hopped on for the first time in 15 years Sunday.
According to ESPN's Mark Schlabach, the Bulldogs fired Mark Richt after a 9-3 season that included losses to Alabama, Tennessee and Florida.
Richt is 145-51 in his 15 seasons between the hedges, with his best finish coming in 2002 at 13-1, a year that included a Sugar Bowl victory against Florida State. He won or shared six SEC Championships in his time at Georgia.
According to Schlabach, Richt will coach Georgia in its bowl game.
