Twelve weeks of football down, two more to go before bowl (and award for that matter) season can get underway. Virginia Tech's clinched the ACC Coastal Division, leaving just its Atlantic counterpart, and both Big XII divisions at play amongst the major conferences. Next weekend features two extra days of games worth watching. Be thankful for this feast of football upon which you are about to feast (oh, and let us know if we totally screwed the pooch in terms of ranking these puppies).

3 Played host to bowl bound Fresno State on a very November-in-Boise Friday evening and put on a defensive clinic for the ages, shutting the Bulldogs down, 51-0. With a legitimate flesh and blood opponent in Nevada still to come, Boise could be positioned nicely if Auburn falters in Tuscaloosa. Next up: Friday, at #17 Nevada, 10:15 p.m. --
4 Bye Week. Next up: at New Mexico, 4:00 p.m. --
5 Another year, another iteration of The Big Game. While Cal had some success in the 2000s, Stanford has the 2010s off to a roaring start, putting a total beatdown on the Golden Bears, 48-14. You might just say the Cardinal had...A little Luck. 8-) YEEEEAAAAAHHHH! Next up: Oregon State, 7:30 p.m. --
6 Went into A^2 and held serve, downing the still allergic to defense Wolverines 48-28. Denard Robinson accumulated blah blah yards rushing and passing but Wisconsin did what needed to be done and that was win (and win comfortably). Next up: Northwestern, 3:30 p.m. --
7 Hey! They went into the hostile confines of Kinnick and edged out an extremely game Iowa side, 20-17. And yet all of you are busy freaking out about interceptions, tweets, and body language. Beat Michigan! Next up: Michigan, 12:00 p.m. --
8 Despite a slow start, Brandon Wheedon and company hit their stride late pulling away from Turner Gill's lowely Kansas Jayhawks, 48-14. The real question (that could ultimately determine Bedlam next week) is what will the status of dinged up receiver Justin Blackmon be. Next up: #16 Oklahoma, 8:00 p.m. --
9 Death. Taxes. LSU winning stupid games. The Hat gave up 36 points to a sad Ole Miss side, but inexplicably still did just enough to get by and stay in the BCS discussion, 43-36. Next up: at #12 Arkansas, 3:30 p.m. 1
10 Flirted with Purdue, let the Boilers on, and made them think this would finally be their lucky Saturday, before pulling the football up as they attempted the kick, 35-31. Jim Tressel would kindly like his 2002 game tape back, Coach D. Next up: at Penn State, 12:00 p.m. 1
11 Smartly played a Thursday game against first year Georgia State to give themselves two extra days to prepare for #1 Auburn and held up their end of the bargain winning, 63-7. Greg McElroy looked sharp but will need to be at his game manager best if they want to play spoiler vs. the Tigers/Eagles/whatever. Next up: Friday, #2 Auburn, 2:30 p.m. 1
12 Let Mississippi State force overtime then even gave the Bulldogs false hope by making them think they had a legitimate shot to win after missing a field goal in the first OT, only to come back and play some defense for a change, winning 38-31 in double OT. Enters this week as *gasp* favorites over an incredibly fortuitous LSU side. Next up: #9 LSU, 3:30 p.m. 1
13 At the very worst played equal to a plucky Texas A&M team and on the heels of one of the most one sidedly officiated football games you'll ever see, ultimately fell to the Aggies, 9-6. Former Buckeye Bo Pelini would've been totally in the right to one arm kimura an official. Next up: Colorado, 3:30 p.m. 5
14 Continued their phoenix-esque rebirth putting another blemish on the Hurricanes season, beating UM, 31-17. Their place in the ACC title game sealed; now they'll just have to wait and see if their opponent is NC State or Florida State. Next up: Virginia, 12:00 p.m. --
15 Truly a bizarre one, Missouri played shutdown defense but were never able to get anything going on the offensive side of the ball, beating Iowa State, 14-0. They need to win and pray for a Colorado miracle if they want to head to JerryWorld to play for the league crown. Next up: Kansas, 12:30 p.m. --
16 Finally found their road leagues breaking a season long snide and absolutely embarrassing Baylor, 53-24. Oklahoma seems to have found their mojo just in time with their annual bedlam showdown with Okie State looming. Next up: Friday, at #8 Oklahoma State, 8:00 p.m. --
17 Played hosted to DeWayne Walker's pulseless New Mexico State Aggies side and made them look as such, 52-6. Chris Ault (the most 'alt' coach in the nation?) will have to be at their best if they want to justify insecure change averse haters everywhere with Boise coming to town next weekend.  Next up: Friday, #3 Boise State, 10:15 p.m. --
18 Having wrapped up the SEC East, Sakerlina promptly decided to celebrate by absolutely destroying a lackluster Sun Belt Troy side, 69-24. What's that sound? I think the Gamecocks just scored another touchdown.  Next up: at Clemson, 7:00 p.m. --
19 Hosted Nebraska and the most Big XII loyal officials this side of the league office, prevailing (but not without controversy), 9-6. Will have their best show in almost a decade to put their hurt on their in-state arch rival Longhorns. Next up: Thursday, at Texas, 8:00 p.m. 1
20 Went into the lion's den against huge in-state rival North Carolina and outlasted the Heels, 29-25. All N.C. State needs to do is win over Maryland and they'll play for the league crown. Next up: at Maryland, 3:30 p.m. --
21 While since this wasn't televised where I live I'm still not convinced this game actually happened, Florida State completed their ACC league slate by defeating Maryland 30-16. They'll need help from the very same Terps to win the Atlantic division, but should be able to take out some long pent up frustration on a down Florida team regardless next weekend. Next up: Florida, 3:30 p.m. 1
22 Bye Week. Next up: Friday, at #1 Oregon, 7:00 p.m. 2
23 Went into Charlie Strong's Louisville's backyard and played solid D to down the Cardinals, 17-10. Bill Stewart and co. have the actual Backyard Brawl on the docket just ahead. Next up: Friday, at Pitt, 12:00 p.m.  --
24 Trailed by 2 scores late but bounced back to defeat a really solid San Diego State team, 38-34. Inconsistent Utes QB Jordan Wynn had a career night, going 21/33 for 362 yards and 2 TDs to help Utah prevail. The Holy War's on deck. Next up: BYU, 3:30 p.m. --
25 Hosted Ohio State, played at a level they hadn't since Michigan State, but didn't have quite enough (and continued to show a propensity for odd clock management) in falling to the Buckeyes, 20-17. Can put themselves in position for an Outback'ish landing spot with a W in their first trip to Minneapolis since a scandalous 2008 affair. Next up: at Minnesota, 3:30 p.m. 4
