I grew up in Houston, but was raised in the traditions of Ohio State. Taught by my father, graduate of Ohio State in 1969, I learned of the stories of Woody, Archie and Tatum. After graduating from Fisher in 2004, I went into the energy industry and live back in Houston where I am a finance manager. I participate in the local OSU alumni group while also help recruit high school students to OSU.

Nikola tesla does not support Thomas Edison as a 1 seed.  Honestly, Edison and Rockefeller may have been the most successful and biggest influencers, but they both were both built their wealth through the oppression of others.

Come on wright brothers and Dave Thomas.

I think we should be attempting more 3 point attempts... This team just has too many pure shooters on the outside to attempt 50% of their shots from inside the arc.

On a separate note, I want to hug and kiss a poisonous snake.

We lost a game at home where we attempted 20 more free throws then the opposing team.  20.... Where is the dumpster fire, I am looking to end the pain.

The last three months have just been so much fun.

If this rivalry was based on annoying disillusional fans, then I'd place Penn State as number 1.  Since its based on history, competitiveness, quality of opponent and mutual respect/history, then I'd have to put them behind Michigan, Wisconsin and MSU.

PSU has 3, 10 win seasons since 2000 (1 less than Iowa) while Ohio State has 10.  So they just have not been a great team.

Ohio State is 9-3 in the last 12 games, so they have not been competitive.

When I think about most painful losses, I can think of 3 right off the top of my head with MSU (3 undefeated seasons ended at the hands of these guys without looking it up), 2 for wisconsin (broke our record winning streak and while we were undefeated) and none really for Penn State.

We have only played each other 28 times, which is not really that much for a major rival.

I like beating them because their fans suck, but from a football perspective, not one of the most important games of the season.

A fucking men.  The fact that this team continually relied upon miller when hyde was the horse, was a joke.  And the inability to see the mistake was a travesty.  And the excuses for miller being injured is just dumb.  Miller is injured so make him do more?  Don't put in Kenny g?  The back half of this season was a travesty of stupidity

This is the most frustrating play calling game I have seen.  Carlos Hyde was having more than a "fairly efficient performance"... He was putting up 8 yards a carry in the second half and over 6.5 per carry for the game.  All Ohio State had to do was give the ball to their senior running back in his second to last game after he helped bring them the lead, take time off the clock, and then celebrate.

This is the most painful moment I have had since Buford took that last three point shot, after shooting a fantastic 2-15, instead of giving the ball up to a wide open SENIOR CAPTAIN David Lighty or THE BEST THREE POINT SHOOTER IN THE COUNTRY Jon Diebler.

Best running back in the big 10, senior, second to last game, running over everyone, hadn't been stopped for less than 2 yards all game, third and short... AGH

i feel like whenever this offense has struggled, its come back to el guapo not getting the ball.  over the last couple seasons, several times meyer has said carlos should have gotten more carries.  you know how many times the opposite was said?  NEVER  Well they made the same mistake again, didnt give the ball to hyde and it cost us the game, big ten title, national championship opportunity and the streak.

I'd love to be stuck in 2002.  I'd have 25 less pounds, be playing ball at JO north every night and watching Krenzel make me think any person, no matter how un-athletic, could win a national championship.

I have 1 frustrating thought.  This has probably been covered, but i am too pissed to find the other thread.  GIVE THE BALL TO CARLOS.  They guy is averaging 8.1 yards per carry in the second half, 7 for the game and hasn't been stopped for less than 2 yards all game.  Its 3rd and 3, you need to score and also keep your defense off the field.  Who do you give it to?  YOUR QB WHO TRIPS OVER HIS OWN FEET HALF THE TIME AND CAN"T BREAK A TACKLE?  NO NO NO.  You give to it to El Guapo.  Ok, you make a mistake.  now its 4th and 2.  LINE THE BALL UP AND RUN IT RIGHT DOWN THEIR THROATS.  Strength on Strength.  Oh no, lets not give it to our best player, El GUAPO.  Lets just run the same stupid play to the outside with our QB who can't break a tackle to save his life and just got stopped for a 1 yard gain on the previous play.  SO STUPID.

Every week we made the opposing QB look like a heisman contender.  Then we stopped Purdue and all was saved.  Then we gave up 500 yards to indiana but got turnovers so it was ok.  Then michigan put up 600 and 41 on us but it was just a rivalry game and they played up.  This defense sucks.  They didn't lose us this game, we lost because urban loves braxton and doesn't want to give it to the best player on the team, EL FUCKING GUAPO, but this defense still sucks.

It once again comes to coaching.  We are either not recruiting the right talent, not developing them, or not putting them in position to win.  I don't know what the answer is, but it has consistently been a problem the whole season.

I remember watching that game.  At the time my new girlfriend (now fiance) walks in like 30 seconds before kentucky won the game.  Then Tatoo Gate happened, then our football team goes 6-7 and we lose to michigan and get a bowl ban.  I was convinced that she was bad luck for Ohio State.  I told her as much, she didn't take it all that well, but I didn't really care because I believed it.

Now that we have another Final Four, Urban Meyer, a couple top 5 recruiting classes, a 21 game win streak, MGOBLOG is in full meltdown (I mean it's really horrible over there these days), Florida sucks, Texas sucks, USC sucks, Penn State sucks, and Ohio State continues to climb in the classroom, I have decided to be the bigger man and forgive her for being bad luck during 2011 for Ohio State.

I don't mean to pat myself on the back, but I am pretty sure that it shows my maturity level.

I, for one, never doubted that we would pull out an easy double digit win against nerdwestern... But seriously, why do we continue to decide to run the ball with Braxton instead of just giving the rock to El Guapo and the stable of running backs at our disposal.  The more I see Braxton panic and fumble, the more I don't understand why el Guapo doesn't get 35 carries a game

And I understand this reasoning, but this would not be in line with the supposed zero tolerance policy that has been stated in regards to Urban handling of violence against women.  If he suspends him for two games, then he is admitting that Carlos did something wrong (violence against women) but by allowing him to continue with the team, he is saying that he really doesn't have a zero tolerance.  So I would think that he either decides carlos did nothing wrong and there is no punishment, or that he did and he is off the team.
