Shazier might actually have the toughest competition to win the Butkus. In addition to the players you've noted, I would add Shayne Skov and Anthony Barr. Skov is going to be a candidate based solely on the fact that he plays for a team noted for its defensive prowess and Stanford is likely to be in the top-10 throughout the season. Barr is more of a dark horse, but if UCLA were to have a year that exceeds expectations he will likely be a big part of that.
What about Tyus Jones? Does this commitment remove Ohio State from a school he'd be willing to consider?
JC Shurburtt of 247 just said this regarding the Dontre Wilson filp, "It looks like Meyer and company are trying to be the Ducks on offense and LSU on defense. That’s quite the successful formula."
Be afraid...be very afraid
Saw him and his crew at BWs around 2:30. They were looking for a table and would have gladly given him mine, but thought better of it considering I wasn't going to give my table to anyone else. Wouldn't want to give him any improper benfits, right? Haha
