I'll be in town for work....tempted to push back my flight to later sunday to sign up and do this......
This was awesome, loved the round table talk on the Oral history. If I wasn't always throwing my own keg rager (reliving the glory days) I'd love to make it to one of the 11W Tailgates.....
I was in Gambel for that game, got great seats and wanted to enjoy a great college basketball experience. The students and fan's there didn't disappoint, it was a fun place to watch a basketball game. Small and personal college basketball experience.
The head shaking, slumped shoulders look was on full display for this game. I've seen it on TV but seeing it in person made me absolutely furious, I couldn't believe the lack of fight in these kids. Kam Williams was the ONLY one I saw with hustle, and fire when he was out on the court.
I have tickets to see them in Brooklyn next Saturday, and I'm more excited for UCLA vs UNC part of the tourney, because of the blood bath that will be our game....I digress, I just yearn for the strong Defensive teams of yesteryears...not a bunch of talent on the floor with no cohesive goal. Here is to hoping Thad and this young team can turn the corner sooner rather than later.
I'm now dumber for reading that.....
Anyone else get screwed with the stupid Dynamic Ticket Pricing? Section 112 row 21, 8 seats together at $183 a piece FROM their ticket office! On stubhub right now people are selling 40 yard line 20 rows up for the same price, and the seats in my section are $120 a piece. My need to preplan and organize bit me in the ars. Capitalism 1 My Bank Account 0. More reason for me to cheer harder and root for a blow out. Rant Done. Go Bucks!
Me and 7 other guys and 6 ladie are coming from NYC for the night game. We'll be pregaming in manhattan before taking the train in and then either a) buying beer and joining a buckeye tailgate or b) buying beer and making our own "tailgate". Should be a solid day, but miserable 1am train ride home. Regardless.....Go Bucks!
This Alum will be Blacked out for sure....1st time seeing all 11 of my college roommates in 5 years. We'll be loud ones not sitting down in Section 20 C deck, you are welcome.
Wait....you mean get dressed in black...OOOOooooo
I do not know how to make gifs of action like that, but good lord it may of been my new favorite. But if the targeting hadn't been called, Cardale "laying the wood" on the DB would of been replayed over and over. Anyone out there with technology savy want to make that beautiful gif for all of us?
PS: My buddy at the game sat next to Cardale's family. They call him Skydale.....cause of the bombs he throws, obviously.
I painfully rewatched the game last night. I saw soooo many mis-executed assignments on our blocking schemes (running backs included). And I can't understand for the life of me, why we didn't have TE's running seams or the "bump the blizter and move in to open space" routes that would of put there over zealous blitzing to a halt. But I digress....when Brax went down, I gave us good odds to go 8-2 on the season. I just didn't think one of those loses would be to Vtech at home. All isn't lost though my brothers....its a long season, and we get to see the youngsters develop. I'm excited to see who steps up. Also, never count a Boren out....
Just in case you all wondered if Sully still had love for tOSU.....
I'm jogging to my connection through the charlotte airport on Monday night and I pass by a giant man who I give a double take. Low and behold its J Sully posting up and waiting for his flight. I turn back and make eye contact and give him the universal guy nod, and accompany that with an O-H......and he hits me back with an I-O. Love it.
I may be purchasing a Sullinger Celtics jersey....
Am I able to just stream this on my phone? I won't be able to get in front of a TV until after the game is half over.....cbs app? March Madness Live?
Slam Thompson is smiling even when he is diving for loose balls....but the rest of them are straight sour pussed. This season has been just painful....
The hair on my nuts is tingling. Jesus I'm ready.
So excited to be excited for Basketball these last 6-7 years....somebody make a Matta statue out front of the Schot....every year we compete now!
please, please, please!!! Buckeyes play in NYC....this awesome news, love it!
Good burbon and ramzy commentary......oh so smooth. Solid write up!
Couldn't be happier with Thad as a coach and mentor for these young Buckeyes. Man, I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall for that party the OSU basketball alums threw for Thad.....
Was in the party plaza outside the stadium in Tempe of '06. After we ran back the kickoff, my buckeye necklace I'd had since freshman year broke in the celebration....I should have known it was an omen.
After the loss, drunk off my ars, walking alone back to the car to find my ride, I had two gator fans obnoxioisly gator chomping in my face...it was more than I could take. One swift move and I knocked the one gator out and snoring on the ground; his buddy stood there aghast "what did you do?!". I took off running and didn't look back.....not my proudest moment, but still a funny ending to a horrible night in the desert.
I too refuse to take the Tressel signed 06 national championship jersey out of the closet.....if only the ex gf could of gotten any other jersey to sign....
1.) Was in flying out of Nashville this weekend and Eddie George is still standing +50 feet tall on the outside of the Tennessee Titans stadium in Nashville....ball in hand and that beautiful high knee stepping form I remember. I liked this alot.....just thought I'd share.
2.) Which 11 Warrior employee/contributor would like to a) troll the bejesus out of that commentor on the cbs article or b) drop some actual knowledge on him about the over signing epidemic that is the SEC roster signing.
