Where do I begin? My father was a relentlessly self-improving boulangerie owner from Belgium with low grade narcolepsy and a penchant for buggery. My mother was a fifteen year old French prostitute named Chloe with webbed feet. My father would womanize, he would drink, he would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Some times he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy, the sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. My childhood was typical, summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When I was insolent I was placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds, pretty standard really. At the age of 12 I received my first scribe. At the age of fourteen, a Zoroastrian named Vilma ritualistically shaved my testicles. There really is nothing like a shorn scrotum, it's breathtaking, I suggest you try it.

I don't post much anymore but this deserves a +1.

Having played at and graduated from St Johns...and as an OSU alumnus...love Loving and the St Johns connection. I am a fan of Toledo products overall but really support the St Johns guys. Neshaun was amazing in his days at SJJ. Good to see him get a nod.

Pretty cool to watch games, like against Sparty, and have Dakich give shout outs to SJJ and Heintschel (Dakich coached a couple SJJ players while at BG).

Loving is a great kid and off to a solid start. Hopefully he bulks up a little and pounds in the B1G for years to come...he certainly has the skills, height and length.

Go Titans and Go Bucks.

This tragedy is near and dear to my hear.  My grandpa played football for Marshall...and was in the Air National Guard in Huntington and helped clean up the wreckage after the crash.

He cannot and will not watch "We Are Marshall" as it is still to raw for him to this day.

Also, I attended Marshall before transferring to Ohio State...so Marshall is my 2nd favoirite team.  I went from Chad Pennington/Randy Moss to the 02 national title at OSU...so I am calling myself a collegiate football good luck charm.

Anyhow, this was a terrible tragedy.  Glad it's still remembered and thought of, as it was devastating to that town/college.

What is happening to the B1G right now in hoops on a macro level, is similar to what Sparty goes through on a micro level every year (hopefully).  Start off the year with some major matchups in tough environments.  Losing some, winning some.  Then come tourney time and when it matters most, they are battle hardened.  They can draw from experience and climb out of adverse holes.  Hoping the B1G plays this way in the tourney because we could sure use a title.

Harbaugh's are both Toledo born.

I dont remember the source but I recall reading Jim had a falling out with Mich and was not going to coach there regardless.  The Superbowl, however, is certainly the nail in the coffin for his college hopefuls.

No clear #2 scorer (or #3).  Why not just run the Princeton offense when stopped into half court sets.  Transition and running game is solid with our athletes, just nobody is wired to fill it up outside of Deshaun.

Waiting for Mark Loving to come in and torch.

Brady Hoke was roughly their 4th choice for head ball coach. At the time, he had just about as many winning seasons as Urban had National Championships. After the whole RichRod debacle, they were more than elated to make and win a BCS Bowl. Coincidentally, during that same time, they were gifted the defense/excuse that we have been to the most BCS Bowls because "Tressel cheated.". Hoke is recruiting well but so are we...so all things being close to equal...Urban has proven throughout his career that he can coach circles around Hoke. Mich is crashing back to reality and the reasonable fans know it. The defense mechanism up there seems to be Urban is a win at all costs coach and/or that he will leave in a few years. They can certainly make it to the Rose Bowl...and we'll be watching as we prep for the national championship game.

I agree with coaching...but that is also getting up off the ground and adjusting after getting punched in the mouth.  That is what has impressed me about the SEC.  We housed a kick to start the game against FLA and they regrouped and pounded us.  We actually started off very strong against LSU and then they got their sea legs and drubbed us out.  Against Arkansas we got up fast and they rallied to almost win.  If you watch interSEC match ups there are lots of knockout punches exchanged (ie Auburn going down 24 to Bama then furiously rallying).  Now the conspiracy theorist in me attributes some of that to oversigning...but no doubt much of that is their coaching.  Preparedness and that mindset that they can battle back from anything.

Perhaps I'm crazy but I just dont feel like the B1G games have many teams battling back and getting up off the mat after getting knocked down.  Seems to me that Urban has us prepared to handle adversity.

With the defense Urban is assembling, unless the B1G gets it's act together real soon, I don't think we are going to give up a single point in conference from 2014 - 2018!  Kidding...kind of.

Lazy Sunday yesterday and I went behind enemy lines and was cruising through MGoBlog...there was quite a bit of sky is falling talk with the poaching of Webb piggy backed on the hoops win.  The only shred of optimism out of their camp is that they have over a year to try and flip him...

I love it.  Damn its great to be a Buckeye.

Just like nearly every great "M*ch*gan Man" has been from Ohio (players and coaches), I hope Webb ends up being an All-American more so than others. Great steal from the heart of skunk bear territory and from a pipeline school for them. Urban planting flags all over the country. Real nice little Sunday funday for buckeye fans.

I really really really hope its us who ends this SEC streak.  And does so emphatically.  I know its been discussed here before but man the stars are aligning (mean that both ways).  We started it, we finish it.

I love where Urban's head is at.  To be the man, you have to beat the man...and Texas A&M did that this year...and Urban is going to learn how/why that happened.  Urbz pressers get me pumped and optimistic EVERY time.

Also, sounds like Roby is this years Johnny Simons - in terms of Urbans crush/coach on the field.
