The Penn State funding situation is really just another chapter in the narrative that has emerged from the scandal, start to finish. The wider Penn State community seems to value football in above of every other aspect of the university, up to and including the safety of the vulnerable. I feel for the research faculty and scholarship students. With cuts in grant funding coming from all levels, federal to university specific, this must really sting.
