Like the poster above said, he's the #2 recruit in the country... tough to blow up more than that.

He is a freak. I know we're recruiting him hard, hope he picks the good guys (but I'm not holding my breath.).

Gibson? That came out of left field.

Whoa... we have some optimists in the house today.

I'm cautiously optimistic about Hilliard, but I'm still not totally convinced we'll get him. Based on when he's making his decision, I'd say he'd be my pick, but far from a lock.

Cornell.... I guess we'll see. Lots of recent CBs to the good guys. Personally, I think Sweat is a pipe dream. I don't care if he's visiting tomorrow. I just don't like our odds.

I guess you can vote based on Larry's track record at PSU... Me personally? I'm holding back judgement until I see a full year of his work at tOSU.

I think it's easy to think that Larry is better now, just because he is our coach right now and Mike is not. However, the progress Mike made between when he was first hired and when he left for the Texans is remarkable. Not to mention the guys he helped bring in. I'm looking at the guys we're in on this year and I see a bunch of redshirt guys, no instant impact players like what were recruiting when Mike was our coach. Obviously we're recruiting Josh Sweat, but I think that's real longshot at the moment. Larry is a really good coach, but it seems like the type of player he likes versus the one's that Mike recruited are different. I don't doubt his track record with sending guys to the league, but I'm not a fan of his recruiting style (Personally).

Man I love this guy. Humble, thoughtful, and wise beyond his years... (Maybe he could advise ol' Marcely's Jones about his twitter posts now?)

I hope he tears it up this season and is a 1st round draft pick. He's one of those guys that you want to succeed because they do it the right way.

The real question is would an early commitment by Gibson really mean anything? I don't think so... he seems pretty fickle.

Banana-

They wait because Meyer is going after the best, regardless of state. For the top 150 guys, typically you have to be patient and it's a dogfight until the end for them. If they offered the Ohio and local guys, they'll commit and fill the spots up well before the elite guys make their decisions.

My guess is that the staff thinks they can offer late and make up ground quickly because these guys are Ohio players and most of them grew up fans of tOSU.

Easy there killer.

He's halfway through his junior year. There is so much time before NSD for the class of 2014, anything coud happen with him.

To be clear, I certainly hope you are right.
