I was replying to the previous comment that framed decommitment as a negative. Otherwise we would call it a flip and we would rejoice.
Birm already said on the thread for The Hurry Up that it is positive news .... so not a decommitment.
My office is situated about 10 miles due east of Michigan Stadium - I live and work around nothing but fans of TTUN.
It's a rivalry and while the past 14 years have been an absolute blast, especially after enduring the Cooper years, it will be more fun to beat them when they think they're invincible.
There is a difference between saying this is a great hire for Michigan, looking forward to the challenge, and 'enjoying' this. Hackett and Michigan got it right, there is no denying that and inevitably a Harbaugh coached team should represent a greater challenge for Meyer and the Buckeyes. Nothing in that says I want to suffer a loss to Michigan ... but I can likely savor the wins a little bit more!
Just listened to the press conference .... there is certainly no better coach out there to lead that team up north. I'm looking forward to the challenges that will inevitably come the way of the Buckeyes under the leadership of Harbaugh. The Game is about to a game again!
I like his focus ... go have some Hurricanes young man!
Bold Prediction 1: Buckeyes score a special teams touchdown.
Bold Prediction 2: Buckeyes score a defensive touchdown.
Does Michigan still suck? I THINK SO!!
Right now, As is usual, no amount of factual information is going to deter the Wolverine fan base from being absolutely delusion about the prospects of their team in 2015.
We are surely going to miss Tom Herman.
#2 in the AP, #1 in the coaches. When researching most box scores used the AP ranking, therefore I used the AP ranking. Too early in season for BCS rankings.
The Tragically Hip
and a newish band I'm really big on right now, Tauk.
Wouldn't wow me as a candidate but he's from Ohio and was OC at Nebraska which leads me to believe he has experience recruiting Texas.
In Urbs we trust.
Doesn't seem to work in today's NFL ... players nowadays would have never survived playing for guys like Ditka or Lombardi.
Although Belichick seems a bit of a curmudgeon, although he doesn't seem to be an in-the-face kind of guy, and we all know the success he's seen.
