The top three rows of B deck are horrible as the rows are way too close together. I spent all of the CAL game between some dude's thighs and he was a rather large specimen. I will never buy seats there ever again.

DJ, when that game happened I was in the Navy on deployment in the Persian Gulf imposing sanctions on Iraq in the days leading up to Iraqi Freedom and hadn't seen my girlfriend, (who is now my wife) in 7 months. I missed the whole game and heard about the win over the 1MC (intercomm system for you land lubbers) while I was standing in the Captain's cabin, updating him on the status of our Chem/Bio equipment. could have been worse.

Nice read. In the stadium and throughout most of life, I f'ing hate them. Hate everything about them.

BUT, I do like when we have guests come and interview with the 11W staff, even TSUN guys. Thanks to Ace for coming over to talk football.

My post was not about lowering expectations. Nothing in there about what I wanted to see happen or readily accepting failure as you so eloquently stated. I was just saying what I thought was going to happen and my thoughts about that: I think we go undefeated as does two of the teams in front of us and we play in the Rose Bowl.

If that happens, sure I'll be disappointed about not getting a shot at the MNC but I'm ok with that. I think continued dominating wins and an undefeated season by any two of BAMA/Oregon/FSU is more impressive than if we continue to squeak by each week until the end of the season.

If we start raining hellfire on teams instead of surviving, I'll change my tune.

Am I too critical of us? Probably.

No matter how the year shakes out, you can bet I'll be fully behind my Buckeyes.

At the end of the day, if we go undefeated AND there are two unbeatens ahead of us then I think we are out.

TBH, I'm okay with that. I think the top four rankings are right on. I think IF we are in the NC game and IF the defense progresses then we match up well with anyone. I'm feeling our best chances for a win are against BAMA and then FSU and Oregon.

However, the defense needs to really get it together over the stretch. PSU is a big test, IMO. They have some momentum.

End of the day, I think we go undefeated (as does Oregon and FSU) and play Stanford in the Rose Bowl.

A good friend of mine passed last year from head injuries sustained during a group bike ride. He was going about 30 mph down a hill and crashed face first into the road. It was a freak accident. He was even wearing a helmet.

Needless to say my kids will hate me cause I'll make them wear a helmet that protects their face as well.

Hope all you spandex lovers in here ride safe.

I lived in Chicago for 3 years and I'm ashamed to say my favorite steak was at n9ne. A group of all my friends went out every other month for steaks and most thought this was the best. Chop house was next up.

I like Lou malnati's for pizza.

Toro sushi in Lincoln park was our favorite but get there EARLY.

Anywhere north of the loop is a good place to stay. Easy access to the purple/red line. I like Omni and palomar. You can get good deals if you are patient and book far out enough.

Have fun. I caught the 2006 game in Evanston and we took over that stadium...if you can call it that.

I grew up in CA and went to OSU for my undergrad and I agree with this 100%. I couldn't find a school out here with the passionate fan base and alumni I identified with. I go to LA for work and while I like to visit, it's the ride home that is my favorite part.

After watching that, I think we can all agree that nothing is going to be hard for a while.

Good Luck to Taivon. I really like this kid and think he made the right decision to stay closer to home with his new baby. Good luck at Maryland (except when you play us!)

I'm a fan of Basil Hayden's as well as Bulleit.

Always have it neat with just a spoonfull of water to open it up.

I would welcome him in a heartbeat. Seems like a great person and an amazing athlete. If Urbz and the staff is recruiting him hard, that's all I need to hear.

People need to chill about recruiting.
