I lived there for 2 years, and my one recommendation (if you like good barbecue, and who doesn't?) is to check out Black Dog in Urbana. Expect a wait, as I have never been there and not had to wait at least 15 minutes, but it is worth it. They just opened a new location in Champaign downtown as well, but I cannot personally vouch for that. You're welcome.
Current line is Buckeyes -23. Vegas thinks not. Me agrees.
Their home rivalry game vs. TTUN was their "Adrenaline/Play for Coach Kill" game. Night game in the Show will be a different animal.
ESPN has lost their way. They are overpaying for TV rights, and losing subscribers at an unprecedented rate. Not a great combination. They also just cut 300 jobs last week, and now this. I suppose they would rather focus their attention on the latest happenings of Khloe and Lamar, or extend the contracts of Skip Bayless & Stephen A. Smith than invest in a reputable extension of their site with excellent journalism and sportswriters with actual talent.
No doubt this move was a big "F*** You" to Bill Simmons.
If we lose to MSU it is very unlikely we reach the B1G championship game because MSU would need to lose two B1G games.
So say Sparty vs. Iowa in the B1G Championship game...If they both enter undefeated, does the loser of that game go to the Rose Bowl over us, with the winner going to the CFP??
Obviously. This was meant to be one of the "Would you rather" questions where both options weren't ideal but you had to pick the lesser of two evils.
Clemson then LSU. Avenging postseason losses.
Florida or Utah would also be interesting for obvious reasons.
Indiana downs Sparty. Playing a feisty team, coming off an emotional roller coaster of a week, sandwiched between their bye week. I smell a trap.
We haven't seen the last of Cardale playing meaningful snaps this season, but this is obviously the right decision. There may be certain defenses who present looks that warrant Cardale coming in to stretch the field vertically, and JT bringing it across the finish line (a la Maryland game). I think JT starting gives us an identity on offense, which we didn't really see until the last 2 games. I finally saw that swagger back in the 2nd half against Penn St.
I like the "Week Zero" ones a lot better, but it seemed like they sold out in about 5 minutes.
Damn. Got me right in the feels, Ramzy.
Looks like a solid viewing choice for Saturday night. I, however, will be taking in the timeless tunes of Garth Brooks at the Q.
Right. But with Braxton, JT was unproven at the time. He had not broken the B1G record for most TD's in a season and hadn't finished top 5 in the Heisman voting. Again, in the hypothetical scenario, Jones would have played poorly enough to end this season that it warrants an off-season discussion.
I am saying he finishes the season whether he loses a game or not. In this admittedly hypothetical scenario, if the Bucks lose a regular season game and a subsequent bowl game and Jones doesn't play well, it is not that far fetched to envision another competition next off-season.
Think this is the game the offense breaks out and shows what it is capable of. A few quick scores will have the Defense on the field quite a bit. I'm thinking 56-30.
"Wait, we're not playing Ohio University Saturday?...Shit."
