There was a B1G fan fest with merchandise from both teams I believe. I think there was a store that usually sells Colts apparell that was selling OSU and MSU gear as well.
I have a party of 8 coming. Had 6 last year. Hoping to enjoy the city a little more after the game than last year (went back to the hotel and ate at a Denny's to take the edge off of the sadness).
Weather looks like it will be much better as well.
I feel like this weather favors Minnesota's offense a little and might hamper our offense as well, but not enough to make much of a measurable difference.
Summary: Night games are good for many reasons.
Last year there was an informational program identifying which bars were for MSU and which were for OSU and a map showing the skywalks, bars, and B1G fan fest (very kid friendly).
There will probably be a thread dedicated to this where other fans who're planning on going can check in and discuss plans for Indy in the coming weeks. We could start it now probably...
If I'm Coach Meyer and the team comes out with a little extra fire then I'd consider having a staff member do this every night before a game.
At first I thought it looked like a punch as well, but in slow mo it looked like he was celebrating and Jameis kinda walked into it.
Ball don't lie.
I assume if this passed and was adopted by the B1G, the possibility would reopen for Ohio State to play Michigan for the Conference Championship game?
You hit the nail on the head. Another thing that pisses me off is that ESPN has created the perception that the SEC is untouchable. The SEC is a damn good football conference, don't get me wrong, but the hype machine for the SEC is always running on overdrive.
Casual fans aren't paying attention to us like we do. They hear things like "Georgia gets a tough win against Tennessee" and take that at face value.
They also hear about "Ohio State barely lucked out a controversial win against Northwestern (an actually ranked team)" and that is how their thoughts are framed.
ESPN could have reversed the arguments and said that Georgia lucked out against Tennessee and Ohio State won a tough game against Northwestern and given Ohio State a small measure of validation, but forget that...not in the best interests of the worldwide leader.
ESPN's college football crew constantly blasts our strength of schedule, but conveniently ignores Alabama's on the basis of their SEC status.
The cards are stacked against us. We're a team that is 18-0 under Urban Meyer, and ESPN tries to invalidate those wins as if we shouldn't bother celebrating our success.
People might claim I'm jealous of Alabama's success, and to some degree, I am. I am jealous and tired of the fact that Alabama gets this damn halo granted to them from the NCAA and ESPN and Ohio State gets treated like a red headed step child. I'm damn tired of it.
Word on the street is that Hoke didn't want him because he didn't fit his system. It was a mutual parting of ways...
Non-committable offer, etc.
I hear he didn't have the competitive fire necessary to play for Hoke.
For what it's worth, most of mgoblog has been relatively calm on this pick up. I still count it as a head to head victory against scUM.
Love that hot tub. I used to love working out, then walking into the pool in my shorts and standing under the little kid contraption that pours out water (using it like a shower), then getting in the hot tub for like 20 minutes before going home.
I was laughing hysterically. I guess greek week is more serious than I thought.
From what I´ve read about this kid, I feel like he could have dragged his recruitment out a little more and would probably have received the 4th star based on interest from other programs. Needless to say, I am glad he didn´t and very happy he is a Buckeye.
I love early enrollees.
I think part of it is that Nebraska is trying to take away some of Sparty's thunder by dropping turd plays every now and then and looking unimpressive in wins and somewhat awful in losses.
Wife wants me to help do the mulching at the in laws. I want to go to the Spring Game.
I'll be at the in laws...
I think Ohio State may very well be the only B1G team to advance to the Elite Eight. Naturally every analyst will immediately deem that the B1G was overrated all along.
I really hope they don't shoot 25 threes against us.
I think we keep him. As good as this year's team is, next year could be just as good.
I'd love to see everyone return for next year. National Championships in football and bball would really make my decade.
Never would have predicted that I'd be nervous for a game against Wichita State.
Everybody relax. Life is good. We won. We root for the same team and live and die by these guys. Enjoy things when they're good.
I love elevenwarriors. I love all of you! I love this TEAM!
I think I about had an ulcer that game. Craft's fouls were cheap. Waiters' fouls were lame. I thought Triche and Jardine got away with about 10 between the two of them.
